This sweater is so adorable but the first time I wore it out it started to pill up and shed a lot. It only looks good for the first couple minutes you wear it.

haven't washed it yet but it is beautiful and feels so soft.

For anyone concerned about pilling, there's actually a reason why wool pills. Super soft merino wool is short-staple, or low-micron, meaning that the length of the fiber (the hair) is literally shorter than the length of other wool. Durability comes from the spin/twist on the yarn and from the tension in the fabric, which comes from the stitch type and density of the stitches. For example, the City Wool line doesn't pill because it's a super tight yarn with a high tension. This sweater is done in a semi-loose brioche stitch, which is a thick, airy rib that holds a lot of air and keeps you warm while being breathable. Soft merino just requires pill-shaving, which is normal for wool. If you want wool, know that you'll need to care for it by shaving it and honestly, almost never washing it. Air it out to refresh and disinfect it. I love this sweater!!

I bought this cardigan in the Calluna Lilac color because it looked like a light pink shade. However, in person the color is not as pale.

This sweater was pilling badly out of the package. The yellow is also a totally different undertone in person. It’s very soft and a nice weight, but I’ll be returning.

I just opened this sweater within the last two hours. I tried it on and off a couple of times because I am deciding whether or not to keep it, and it’s already pilled so bad! I am shocked, for $168 dollars I don’t know how this quality was approved. I will be returning 100 percent, as it is awful and does not look good at all.

I washed this sweater on delicate and laid it flat to dry, and it shrunk into a toddlers sweater. I love the look of the sweater, but I think the only way to clean it is the dry cleaner. So disappointed. I'll give it to my 10 year old niece.

This was my favourite sweater. Beautiful drape and quality. Then I washed it. Gentle cycle, cold water, air dried, just like I do for all my wool prices. It shrunk so small that I gave it to my 8 year old niece. I wish I could buy it again, but I don’t want to waste my money again.

I absolutely love this sweater. Paired with the rythym jumper and some uggs or even Conan pants and loafers I could lounge in the house with this or wear it to the office

Hits just right to wear alone or layer

For all the girls thinking of buying this cardigan: it's really worth it! I tried to wash it without any problem. The secret: use a detergent designed for merino wool (found on Amazon for about ten dollars). It's the best way to keep real wool durable.

This was my favorite cardigan and I’ve had this for about a month now and I don’t normally write reviews but I went back to this cardigan after washing it for the first time since I’ve had it and it shrunk like crazy. My experience is similar to the most recent review and I’m so sad that this cost me so much yet it shrank like crazy. Did a cold wash and air dry too. It’s just really disappointing spending so much money on clothes you hope would last a while due to the price just for it to shrink after one wash.

Usual size is 2XS. Decided to size up for a more relaxed look.
Washed with cold water on delicate (usually fine with all my knit wear). No dryer used.
Mild detergent and no fabric softener.
It shrank to a child's size! With one wash!! Never happened with any other Aritzia sweater.

So soft, so comfy it will be my go to sweater this fall and winter!

This is a beautiful piece. I love that it’s less oversized than the unwind but still long enough to cover your butt. It buttons up which is nice, but I don’t kinda wish it had pockets. That being said pockets add a lot of bulk in this type of knit so I think it does give a slimmer profile compared to unwind. The Heather birch is stunning. Yes, it pills a little but nothing more than expected for Aritzia wool. Measurements 37-29-39, I got a small which is my usual size in Aritzia oversized pieces.
