shawl merino wool jacket

Absolutely love this wool jacket. I do find it a little too long which is why I gave 4 star

I normally fit a size extra small in this jacket, but it was out of stock and they only had the small available. It is a little bit larger, but because of the style of the jacket you can pull it off I was purchasing this as a replacement for my extra small because I love it so much. The only thing I caution is make sure you bring it to a dry cleaner that knows what they are doing 100% that’s how my first jacket got ruined and why I am replacing it now.

Beautiful. I absolutely live this shalw jacket. It'd very flattering and well made. The wool is gorgeous and looks expensive. I would highly recommend.

I bought the cream colour one and it looks great and is really soft but I barely wore it and a small hole appeared on my back shoulder! The wool fabric is soft but too thin in some areas. I felt like returning it but it’s too late and I don’t want to be shunned at the counter. It is priced way too high for such poor quality.

This jacket is perfect! It’s very versatile piece it can be worn as an outer layer, or inside one. I wanted it to be a little looser so I’ve got size large and it’s exactly what I wanted. Two slits on the sides make silhouette looking lighter - yes it’s a long piece but not bulky!! This one is going to be enjoyed for a while!!

My favourite jacket. I check often to see if they will rerelease the camel colour. Please please bring this colour back! It is a stable in my closet

Nice coat, keeps u really warm, but I noticed it pills. Hopefully it doesn’t get worse bc it wasn't cheap. I’m 5’9” and a Small size fit good for me.

I bought my daughter this jacket and she loved it so much, she got one in black. They are great to wear over pants and dresses. Can be causal or dressy!

I love the roomy fit of this jacket, and the fact that it is unlined. It’s warm but not bulky or too hot. But it pills badly. I basically have to remove the pills daily for it to look decent, which you absolutely should not have to do with a jacket at this price point. I thought about returning it but it’s too late.

I had this jacket and I LOVED IT. I got it thinking this would be the same… the material is so thin and flimsy, I’ll be returning it. So sad to see they probably changed manufacturers and/or fabrics to cut costs…. This used to be the best coat.

I love this jacket! I also have it in dark grey (which I've had for years) and it has been a staple in my wardrobe since. I get lots of compliments any time I wear it and not that, but it is so warm and the pockets are really deep. Highly recommend!

I love this jacket but I am so disappointed they removed the camel colour. It is a classic and should be in their core collection! Please bring back camel!!!

I was a bit hesitant to buy this after reading a few bad reviews but i have to say i have not experienced any of those negative issues. This is gorgeous and can be dressed up or down. Very warm too.

I purchased this in store a few weeks ago. I've worn it 4 times and it's already pilling. You would think you are getting a great quality article of clothing with a price tag that high, at least well enough where you wouldn't expect pilling at all, let alone after 4 uses. I didn't even wash it! I'm super disappointed. Don't waste your money.

Jacket fits fine but is not wearable as it leaves fluff all over the fabric of anything else worn with it. Super disappointing.

I’m 5’10, 150lbs and a size small allows me to wear a thicker sweater underneath. I have this Shawl Jacket in tan and white as well, and I wear one of the almost everyday when it gets cold out. Probably my favorite piece from Aritzia.

I have 4 of these coats. They are great for cooler weather in the fall and spring. My only compliant is that the fabric pills constantly. After the first wear there was pilling along the sleeves and around the front pocket area. This is disappointing considering the price and I wish Aritzia would fix this as it usually happens with most sweaters that I have purchased from Aritzia.

Jacket is still nice but I have the first generation and the material and quality was a lot better. It’s a little flimsy but will work

I cannot recommend this coat because more than five holes have appeared throughout the fabric although I’ve worn it less than 6 times. Quality control on this expensive coat seems to be missing.

There is a hole on the elbow. For $248, this is very disappointing.

It’s a beautiful jacket, very well made. The shade of green is LOVELY. It will go with a lot. I am a little nervous about all of the pilling others wrote about, but I bought a lint remover, so I’m prepared. :) While it’s not too big (size S) it is roomy so I can easily fit another layer or two underneath it. As reference, I am 5’ 7.5” and 120 pounds, broad shoulders, lean athletic body type.

Great to dress up and dress down. Fits true to size. The only issue is that it pills fairly easily, but I have a hand pill-shaver and just keep on top of it and it has never gotten out of hand. I absolutely love this jacket and would own it in every colour if I could afford to!

I thought this was going to be more of a jacket and it was more of a sweater so I returned it.

I bought this jacket in the grey and green because it's such a beautiful coat. Nice to have for the slightly warmer months before it get's superpuff cold. The grey I bought in a medium and the green I got in a large. They both fit really well and you can layer without feeling to restricted.

It runs big, so if you do end up buying it, buy it a size smaller. But the pilling is so bad. I’ve worn it maybe 10 times total over the last year because of how bad it pulled over the first year. I take amazing care of my clothes and I read the cleaning instructions and still it’s pulling EVERYWHERE. For $250, it should be a nice luxury jacket, but it just looks super cheap.

It’s crazy warm & the perfect combo of casual/chic. It does pill around the sleeves but they are the softer east kind that you can just pick off. No need to damage the fabric.

It's a bit pricey but it's worth it. Perfect for LA weather, and enough room for a sweater underneath. Very comfortable and stylish.

This lightweight coat is just lovely for crisp fall days. I would normally take a M, but after trying it on in store, I went with a S and it is perfect. Roomy enough to wear with a bulky sweater, but not too large to overwhelm. One star off because there is noticeable pilling on the arms after each wear. A quick once over with the electric “fuzz shaver” takes care of that, but it is a bit of a chore. Lots of Eileen Fisher vibes with this piece without the hefty price tag!

This jack is beautifully designed but there are some precautions to it. There is no liner so you will need to wear long sleeves if you don't want to feel scratchy. Also, all wool/cashmere products pill (especially since there is no liner) so treat it accordingly. Otherwise, it's a nice piece to wear

Beautiful fit and beautiful jacket at delivery however just purchased and it already looks quite pilled and somewhat dirty looking (Herrington Bone colour). Disappointed as I wanted this jacket so badly!

This coat pills and is not worth the price. I wore it a few times and have not worn since then. Looks really old now.

love my jacket, i got two of them! perfect for our Michigan bipolar weather. So cozy, light, and elegant, and feels amazing on.

I love the jacket — it’s soft, warm, and looks great. However, it pills like crazy. I took it on a trip and had to de-pill it almost every day. At this point, I’ll probably wear holes in it from removing the piling, and I’ve only owned it for a month.

Wore it once and it’s already pilling

i love this coat and have purchased it previously in four other colours.
i love the new green colour so i ordered another one to freshen up my closet.
when i received it i realized it was quite a bit shorter than previous years, so i returned it as i knew i would always reach for one of my longer ones.

This is a perfect jacket to dress up and down, it runs big I would size one size down.

I absolutely loved this jacket, until it began pilling within the first winter season of wearing it. I submitted a "quality concern" and they told me that pilling is natural and to be expected. I do expect pilling after years of wearing a garment, not after one season. Very disappointed in the quality of the coat and the customer service after addressing the issue. Don't buy this if you intend to wear it for more than 1 winter.

I purchased this in the camel color and while it’s beautiful, it started pilling on the fore arms within a few hours of wearing it and has pilled a lot in other areas since. Runs large I got a small but wish I would’ve went with xs. For $250 I wish it would’ve looked new longer

It isn't warm, it is hot and cozy when you are wearing it. That's it. I am super happy with my purchase, I am considering to get another colour as well!
