the '90s joni hi-rise loose jean

I’m normally a 24 so ordered that size. Was expecting them to be a bit loose but I looked like I was trying to wear my husband’s jeans. Returned and didn’t consider sizing down because I don’t think even a size smaller would help. Otherwise the material seems really nice and I wish they had worked out!

These jeans are a dream. Well made, nice fit, and flattering. A note of caution: believe the other reviewers who say they fit larger! I am 5'7, approx 140 lbs, hourglass shape but athletic. I have sized up to 29 (usual size is 28) in other Denim Forum jeans (e.g., the Yoko and the Arlo), but they did stretch out quite a bit and I probably should have gone with 28. For these jeans, I ordered a size 27 and they fit well, but I probably could have gone with a 26 assuming that they stretch out.

Absolutely love these jeans. I have several pairs. They fit great and are so comfortable. Highly recommend.

Fits in all the right places. Super soft and at 5’2 regular can be worn with heels or flats.

I ordered these jeans in a blue wash and decided to send them back for a different color. I agree with previous reviews that the fit ran large. However, I ordered the bone color (looking for that perfect winter-white jean!) in a 25 and 26 and omg -- I could hardly pull either size over my legs and booty. The 25 in the blue wash fit perfectly but the white wash does not run large or TTS at all. I'm in love with the color so I just ordered a 27 and 28 hoping they'll fit. Just keep that in mind if you're purchasing the bone color!

I actually loved these jeans, but it took a couple tries. I’m typically a size 26/27 (I’ve bought more 27 then 26) so originally got size 27, which was too large. So I got size 26.. which was better, and in certain colors fits fine if not a little loose (which is in the name). But other colors in size 26 were huge on me which is kinda crazy, since size 26 is my small size. I got two pairs in size 25.. black licorice destroy, and I can’t remember the blue name, it’s like a medium/dark blue with no rips.. and it has the cat whiskers on the front pockets if you know what I mean. They both fit great.. how I want them to fit, which is not loose on the waist. (For reference I’m 5’5” 120-125lbs 34-27-36 - last time I checked anyway) I hope this helps someone else out.

I liked the fit on the model so I got the black eyeliner in what should be my size as indicated on the size chart, 27 (also my normal size with levis). They are comically big on me. Like 2 or 3 sizes too big. Definitely returning them.

The fabric is also just okay. I was hoping it would be a bit more robust but it's on the lightweight side. Doesn't feel that "vintagey," but it's still nicer than most mid-range denim. Probably pretty comfy.

Okay but fr these feel like what good quality OLD jeans used to feel like. There's no stretch and the button up instead of zipper caught me off guard but that's my fault. Girl if you've got more than a cute lil pouch, wide hips and a 3D booty these are surprisingly forgiving, just make sure to size up. The 28 in Black Eyeliner is so chefs kiss I love denim forum for their spot on the sizing and colour. I'm 5'2 so these hit the ground and with a bit of drag w/o shoes but I intend on only pairing these with some lug boots or platform uggies also I noticed that the back pockets are bigger than usual so it can look like it's ALL pocket back there but the front and side angle makes up for it. If your size is still available and you need a staple jean throw these in the cart immediately

I’m 5’5 and a half , 140 lbs, lululemon size 6, usually a size 27 in jeans, I got these in a size 26 in the 7 year wash colour .. these are my new favourite jeans!!
Love the super high waist (I have a long torso) and could never get behind the baggy jeans thing until now. Soft cotton , I am in love.

The jeans fit great everywhere except the crotch. I found that the length was good, and the waist fit perfectly I would not want to go a size down, which is why I found it so weird that the crotch was so baggy. I tried pulling the jeans up more and down lower but still, there was so much extra fabric only in the crotch region that the extra fabric folded up, leaving a underwear-shaped fold that would come back each time I moved. I liked everything about the jeans other than that very comfortable and cute, which is why the crotch was so disappointing, it was too noticeable to overlook, so I'll have to find a different pair.
