Responsibly sourced down comes with responsibilities. But you can easily handle them.

How to Care for Down Fill

Machine Washable Styles
  • 1. Check the care label for style-specific care instructions.
  • 2. Close all zippers before washing — this will help prevent zippers from snagging
  • 3. Machine wash separately in cold water, using a front-loading washing machine on a gentle cycle.
  • 4. Use a gentle detergent, but do not use any bleach or fabric softeners.
  • 5. Complete an additional rinse cycle, with no detergent, to ensure all detergent is rinsed out of the down. Residual detergent may prevent the clusters from regaining their full loft.
  • 6. Tumble dry on low, ensuring your garment is fully dry before removing (it may take several cycles). Add two clean tennis or dryer balls to best restore loft.
Hand Wash-Only Styles
  • 1. Check the care label for style-specific instructions.
  • 2. Hand wash in cold water, using a gentle detergent. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners.
  • 3. Rinse well, then squeeze gently to remove excess water. Do not twist or wring, and do not allow to remain wet.
  • 4. Tumble dry on low, ensuring your garment is fully dry before removing (it may take several cycles). Add two clean tennis or dryer balls to best restore loft.
Additional Tips
  • 1. Upon arrival, your garment may appear flat after having been compressed into its packaging. You can restore loft by fluffing the garment by hand, and/or hanging it in a warm area for up to 72 hours. If your garment has not fully regained its loft by the 72-hour mark, tumble dry it on low along with a slightly damp cloth for 15–30 minutes. Repeat this last step as needed.
  • 2. Make sure your down garments are completely dry before storing. This applies if you have worn the garment in rain or snow as well.
  • 3. To maintain loft, avoid compressing your down garments for long periods. Store them by hanging in a ventilated closet or a large cloth or mesh bag.
  • 4. Regularly wash your garments to best maintain any waterproof or water-repellent fabric properties. Washing helps remove the oils that naturally occur from wear — oils that impede the fabric’s ability to repel water.
FOR THE PLANET
Use Cold Water Washing with cold water is not only gentler on your clothes, but it can also save up to 90% of the energy normally used to heat the water.
Wash It Less Each load of laundry uses approximately 18 gallons of water — and a bunch of your effort. Save yourself the time and resources by washing less. Or try a gentle cycle — it can help reduce microfibre shedding by about 70%.
Choose Mild Detergent This will minimize any chemicals entering the waterways.

Lightweight At 700+ fill power, our down delivers superior warmth with less weight.
Responsibly Sourced Our down is certified to the Responsible Down Standard, meaning that an accredited independent certification body that upholds the RDS’s strict requirements has approved every step in our supply chain, starting with the farms.
