Yes, the comments about this coat sizing is 100% correct, I would have loved to get a medium so it looked slighly more tailored on me, However for $240 off the original price! i took the large..
The length is suburb, i can't complain at all about this coat, just beautiful.

The jacket is way too big and doesn’t look half as good as it looks in the images. The jackets image and size is very misleading. I’ve tried on sizes in the store however this jacket does not have the even close to the same fit.

This coat is beautiful. Truly.
I had to size down to an XS. For reference I am 5’6 130lbs and the XS fit perfectly oversized with room for layering.
The only downfall to this jacket is that it attracts everything. It seems that any hair, yarn, dust, etc will stick to it. I have to lint roll it before and after each wear.
I was able to snag the black on sale, and it was absolutely worth it. I love this jacket. A great alternative to the slouch coat, that we see everywhere. :)

This is a 100% wool coat and so worth it for this price. I usually wear a large in aritzia coats but these run really big. I sized down to a medium and it’s still roomy for a sweater or another layer.

The quality of this coat is unmatched. It has boxy shoulders and is a bit oversized to give a complete 90's look. I am a size S and normally prefer to buy medium sized coats so i can layer up under without feeling tight. I got this coat in S (after reading reviews) and I'm so glad i did cause it has a lot of room for layering without looking snug. So i would say size down.

Overall, this coat is superb. 10/10 recommend

Size is too big. Website recommended I get a size large but ordered a size medium. Way too big. Should’ve gone with a size small. Purchased it as final sale and unable to get my money back.

Nice, quality feeling jacket. I love the style and the fit. However, every single piece of fibre or hair sticks to this fabric. I need to carry a lint roller in my purse whenever I wear it.

It is a very beautiful a little oversized coat. Make sure to size down

The photos do not show that it is a relaxed fit. It does run large so had to size down. It seems to attract fluff and hairs quite easily. It also feels thinner than what I expected seeing as the temperature rating is up to -10C. It's still a nice classic coat but not as good as others that I have from Aritzia.

I originally ordered a medium bc I do like an oversized fit/wanted to layer under the coat—but that ended up being a mistake. TBH I loved it so much I reordered in a small even though I couldn’t return the medium, & I’ll just hopefully sell my extra. The small still fit oversized enough for my liking with plenty of room for layering. The medium would best fit someone who normally wears a large in coats. I normally wear a medium.

Best jacket ever. Went to Poland to see my boyfriend, the coat held up wonderful. Only issue I had was the buttons, one popped off and I’ve been making sure to take care of it but that’s the only issue.

It's a classic oversized wool coat, definitely 90s vibes in a good way, and it's a great investment piece. Unfortunately one of the buttons did fall off after a week of wearing it, but I'm still happy with it. Definitely size down as it's oversized - I'm normally a XS/S and needed the 2XS, which is still oversized enough to get the right vibe for the coat.

Exactly what I was looking for! Black, Single breasted, long, classic, slight oversized fit that will never lose its style. The Italian wool is so nice and smooth, the lapel is larger than that of the stedman, I had to size down to 2XS, my regular and suggested size is XS. It hits halfway down my shins as I’m 5’3”, which is the length I wanted. Love this coat, cannot wait to wear it!

Struggling to find a wool coat and not merely a wool blend, I decided to purchase the New Manhattan Coat. I purchased a size XS as that is on average a normal size for me (for reference I am about 5'3, 100lbs, 24 in waist, 30 bust, 36 hip) and felt like I was drowning in it. When looking for coats I didn't particularly care if it was more fitted or more loose, however it was loose to the point of looking ill-fitting. The length was fine but the arms and shoulders were where it was most noticeable. I exchanged for a 2XS and it fits far better! They didn't have this exact coat (The New Manhattan) at my closest location so I tried others on in a size XS and they fit totally fine. So this particular coat just happens to run small, not all of Aritzia's. Fabulous coat, just order a size down! :)

While the is larger, it’s a perfect relaxed oversized look once you size down. Very happy with the quality of the wool and lining. I’m 5’3” and it sits just about calf length.

I'm typically a size medium for Aritzia outerwear or a size 8. The small fits me perfect with a bit of room for layering. The medium fits extremely oversized and looked unflattering.
Other than the large sizing, this is a great coat. It's soft, structured, and feels durable. I'd recommend trying it in store.

Feels huge on me, maybe because I have a small frame. I'm 5'5, 120 lbs. but it makes me look like a little kid wearing their parent's jacket. Sleeves are too long and the shoulders are quite wide.
