How do I care for my Super Puff?
Keep a good thing going by giving this Super the care it deserves:
Machine Washable Styles
- Check the care label for style-specific care instructions.
- Close all zippers before washing — this will help prevent zippers from snagging.
- Machine wash separately in cold water, using a front-loading washing machine on a gentle cycle.
- Use a gentle detergent, and steer clear of bleach and fabric softeners.
- Complete an additional rinse cycle, with no detergent, to ensure all detergent is rinsed out of the down. Residual detergent may reduce the fill power.
- Tumble dry on low, ensuring your garment is fully dry before removing (it may take several cycles).
Hand Wash-Only Styles
- Check the care label for style-specific instructions.
- Hand wash in cold water, using detergent specially formulated for down. Steer clear of bleach and fabric softener.
- Rinse well, then squeeze gently to remove excess water. Do not twist or wring, and do not allow to remain wet.
- Tumble dry on low, ensuring your garment is fully dry before removing (it may take several cycles).
Additional Tips
- To best restore loft, add two clean tennis balls or dryer balls to the dryer.
- Make sure your down garments are completely dry before storing.
- To maintain loft, avoid compressing your down garments for long periods. Store them by hanging in a ventilated closet or a large cloth or mesh bag.
