I sized up because I wanted room for mobility and layers, and I’m so thankful I did. I would have had to return if I ordered my usual size (I’m a size small in my Super Puff for reference). Overall I love the jacket, great weight and length, exactly what I was after. I’m a little disappointed with the lack of zipper garage, it’s pretty rough on the chin when it’s zipped all the way. I got this jacket on sale- it’s a good jacket but definitely not worth the usual price tag of $450 imo.

This jacket fits great - I like how it doesn't make me look bigger. Apart from that I really love how light it is compared to the regular powder parka. I've worn it in the wind rain these past few days and it really did it's job. Also, love the backpack straps and storm cuffs!! Would recommend this jacket if you are not a fan of the faux fur and the heaviness of the regular powder parka.

Great jacket, very warm, magnets are super strong but that’s not a bad thing just something to note. Would definately buy another one!

I was desperately in need of a water-proof down coat for Vancouver’s winter, and found this parka. It’s even better than I thought, warm, comfortable, light (considering the length), and the hood is amazing against wind and rain. Once you put it on, you won’t want to change to another down coat until it gets too warm. If you are between 2 sizes, choose the smaller one as this is a loose coat. The return policy is not user-friendly at all so I can’t change it. But I kind of like that I can wear thick sweater in it now. Again I would recommend everyone to try in the store before you buy, as the return policy sucks.

Great winter coat. This is my favor coat so far.

Love the coat however wore it in the rain when I got stuck without an umbrella in a down pour and it leaked through the armpit seams. Got soaked!

If it weren’t for the zipper this jacket would be great. Unfortunately, the zipper is terrible and is constantly sticking. As a mother, I don’t have time to fight my jacket so I’m often stuck with my jacket open, only zipped a half inch before it sticks, or stuck in the jacket having to climb out of it when the zipper sticks part way through. I’ve had multiple people try and help when the zipper sticks and all of them are shocked at how terrible it is - for the price of the parka, there’s no excuse for TNA to get away with putting out such a faulty product.

I was choosing between the Powder DRI and the regular Powder Parka, and wanted to share my comparisons for those considering the same options. I went with this one largely for the reason mentioned below--the Powder DRI is MUCH, MUCH lighter than the Powder Parka, while providing the same level of warmth. A few other (smaller) differences I wanted to note--the Powder DRI has thumbholes at the wristband, the Powder Parka does not. And, unfortunately, I like the Powder Parka's pockets better--they are open and roomier, while the Powder DRI has zippered pockets (I really don't like zippered pockets on a winter coat, because they are harsh against bare hands and awkward for big mittened/gloved hands, so I knocked off one star). And, more apparently, the Powder DRI doesn't have the fur lining, which I didn't want anyway. Overall, I think this is a great coat and hope to wear it for many years.

On sizing, I am usually an XS but I got an S because I prefer a roomier fit for coats.

I wear medium in Aritzia and this fit nicely with some room to layer underneath. The difference between the Powder Dri Parka and the Powder Parka is that the Dri version doesn't have the same channels for the filling, no fur on the hood (which I prefer), a thinner stretchy sportlike fabric for the cuffs with thumbholes (the Powder Parka has a thicker ribbed knit at the cuffs), and overall is MUCH lighter weight than the Powder Parka which I think is the main selling point. It's super light whereas putting on the Powder Parka adds some serious weight to your body.

I purchased this parka for my daughter. She is 5'2 and apprx 110lbs. This jacket is definitely a more relaxed fit, but still a good fit for the XS she normally wears. We live in Muskoka and a warm parka that is waterproof is a must. So far she is loving it and I'm sure it will keep her warm all winter with proper layers underneath as the temperatures drop further. The outer fabric has a pretty durable hand feel, which can be seen as a pro or a con. For an all-purpose parka it's great, but for someone wanting a softer hand feel, this would not meet the requirement. I would definitely recommend this parka to anyone, and would happily buy it again.

I bought this coat a year ago, so it's gotten a LOT of wear. I had had the same parka for over 5 years and it was time to upgrade. It was a PROCESS finding something that wasn't ridiculously feminine, didn't have a goofy hood, had a big enough hood, came in a color other than white black or gray, and was warm enough. I think I tried over 10 coats, and this was the clear winner. It is absolutely waterproof and it's SO warm. I am 5'10 with long arms and broad shoulders, and this doesn't feel constrictive in the way many other coats do. I am a true medium and this fit me. I never thought I'd use the backpack straps but I have a few times! I love the fleece-lined pockets. The hood is big enough that I can tuck my curly hair in and not wear a hood. This thing has seen every temperature from -10F to over the 30s (you can't wear it beyond 35F it's too warm!) and I love that I don't have to wear a big sweater under it bc it's so warm. Totally worth the investment.

This coat felt very light & airy which was exactly what I wanted. However, I ordered my usual coat size (XS) & it was very large for me. I believe I would have need XXS or XXXS.
It was very baggy & unfitted. But yet the armpit area was very tight & uncomfortable so if I did order the smaller size I’m unsure if I would be able to move my arms freely / comfortably. I decided to return & ordered the powder parka which was sized & fitted much more accurately for less cost. Unfortunately I was charged an $8 fee to return this coat even though it’s manufactured poorly.

I was hoping that it is a good warm winter jacket, something like Bancroft which I wear it for 8 years. But this one is very lightweight and thin. The zipper is a pain, and hard to work with it. Unfortunately, I returned it. I prefer the Powder parka to Powder DRI.

This jacket is really comfy and has a nice, fitted look. It's not bulky like a lot of winter coats. I do wish it was cheaper, but it comes in clutch for Portland rain and cold weather overall.

I'm a teacher and this is the best parka for outdoor recess! No matter how cold or windy I've stayed warm in this coat (and I'm a winter whimp). Worth every $$.

It’s not as good as the powder dri long parka

Light, soft, and warm. Wish it is about 2 inches shorter, but don't mind it too much.

Initially I was going to purchase the powder parka, but came across this one, and after considering pros & cons I decided to go with this one.
As far as look goes, I like the simple clean style. I don’t care for the faux fur on the hood (I know it’s detachable, but no point in getting one with it if I won’t use it).
I got it just in time for winter storm, and it kept me warm when out walking my dog for 1.5-2hrs, even with one thin layer underneath! The hood stays on nicely even in the wind, huge plus for me.
The colour didn’t quite match the listing at the time, I bought the warm taupe and on the website it looks way more pink (I notice there’s a new listing and it shows the colour more accurately), but I’m not disappoint with the actual colour when I received it.
Overall, it’s a good purchase. Now I’m just hoping it’s durable enough to last more than just a couple winter.
Fits true to size to me. I’m a S (135lbs) and I got a S. I can still wear sweatshirt underneath, but it’s not necessary.

I love the fit ! This parka is perfect for keeping you warm and comfy. The only thing that bothers me a little is that there is two zippers ( which is great ) but the bottom one keeps getting stuck in the fabric on the inside lining when using it. Besides that, I would recommend buying !

This is the jacket you’ve been looking for! It’s flattering, warm and easy to wear. Only complain is the zipper getting stuck. But other than that it’s amazing!

Amazing! great for skiing, and quite comfortable. Would recommend for those who like to walk around, and play in snow. It isnt meant for being rough. I got it in black, and it looks outstanding with my snow gear. Its very puffy, and the pockets are very deep
