A new favourite!
Was a bit surprised by the weight of this skirt. It’s quality material and construction. It may be too much for the heat of summer, but I’ll be wearing this almost year round. The calculator recommended size 4, but the size chart said a size 4 was a 26” waist. The actual waist measurement lying flat is 14 1/4” and hips are 18” so this sits comfortably lower than my natural waist. It also has some stretch. The total length is 30” so it isn’t too long for me. Nice deep pockets. Back split is not too high. The gold colour is dark, a tobacco colour. A great neutral colour that goes with a surprising number of other things. For reference I’m 5’4” and 116 pounds. Was concerned the cargo pockets would stick out and give me a strange silhouette, but they are low profile. Will need to steam the back pocket flaps down but not a big deal. Happy with my online purchase!

literally my new favourite skirt
I went to try this skirt on in store just to see and immediately fell in love. It’s really comfy, sits nice and low, and I can hold everything I need in it. I can be picky with my clothing construction as someone who sees, and this skirt is really nicely made. I made a bunch of outfits with it as soon as I got it, and it’s already my new favourite skirt. For reference, I am 5’0” and around 140 lbs and usually wear a 4 in other brands but a 6 at Aritzia, and a 6 was perfect. I could have sized up for a tighter higher waisted fit, but I like how it sits on my hips below my belly button.
