I have a few pants from Aritzia but this is my first Effortless pair and went for the wider version because I love the look. Sizing has been very consistent throughout the different pants styles and materials. For reference, I'm 5ft 5in and weight 140lbs and size 6 looks and feels great!
The pants are nice but the size was too small in the waist so I am returning and I will have to size up, I think a size up will do the trick if I decide to repurchase. The fabric was nice and soft. I ordered the sage green and the color was a little dull from what I was expecting. Overall a nice pair of pants but not perfect.
I ordered the short regular size 4 and it was still so incredibly long i had to get it tailored. i think these pants are meant for short torso and long legged people :(
The fabric quality and fit are great. I am 5'4" and got the 4 Short. Length was perfect and hit below the ankle. The only issue is that the waist is very tight. I usually wear size 2 pants in JCrew, Banana Republic, and Club Monaco and sized up based on reviews, but I'll need to exchange for a 6 Short.
The drape is beautiful but these run about 2 sizes too small in the waist, and are so ridiculously long. I’m 5’7, ordered the regular length and they dragged on the floor. Exchanged for the short length and they’re still hilariously long. Will have to get them altered.
I wanted to like these but unfortunately, the short length was too long. Quite shocking as other items I’ve purchased at the short length haven’t been an issue and fit great.
I bought two pairs of these pants and loved them. I've now ordered and returned two more pairs. Both were the same size and style, but significantly smaller - at least one size but probably more like 2 sizes smaller. I have been a loyal customer for years, but I've been steadily losing trust and interest in the brand for their lack of size consistency and inclusiveness. Such a disappointment. Even for this review I can't select the size I actually ordered, or my usual size, which with this brand is 14.
I wanted to love these pants so badly. Then I saw that yet again, another company that uses our girl Polly as the material. 100% polyester. Almost $150 for 100% plastic? Honestly tragic. Immediate return.
These are great pants. So comfortable, so light and so stylish. For me these hit right at the floor so work best with flats. Can dress up or down. Very flattering.
Great fabric , I find them more of more casual dress pant , I wore with white sneakers and nice slides , could work well in the spring /summer with a tee , but a beautiful pant . I am slim medium build, but with big hips so I was so happy with these pants I ordered navy blue after loving the black
Have bought several of these blanket scarves colors in the effortless, crepe tte, linen, wool in my past 2 yrs. Unfortunately like more of your items this year do not stand the test of quality, construction and off sizings
I have two pairs of effortless pants - 1 pair is a size 10 and I got them two years ago. The other pair is a size 12 and I got them a few months ago. I ordered these ones in a size 12 (same colour as my size 10s) and they would barely go over my hips. The sizing is completely inconsistent and the quality has gone downhill. I’m extremely disappointed, as Aritzia used to be my go to place for workwear
What can I say , quality has definitely gone down I have two effortless pants wider in size 4 one fits like a size 2 the other one fits like a size 8 one is navy one is green. One is made in Vietnam. The other one is made in China you need to have better quality control. Btw I’m normally a size 2, the size 4 made in China fit like a size 2, so I bought a size 4 in the blue colour Admiral and it fits like an 8 that’s made in Vietnam.
Received mine and couldn't be more pleased. First of all the packaging was lovely, which matters when you pay up for an item. The pants are beautiful, versatile, .......happy customer.
I thought these were beautiful with a nice drape. I’m 5’8” and did a regular and I think they would be perfect with flats, sneakers, or a low kitten heel. I found them to run small. I’m typically a solid size 8 and these were tight. Had to return but plan to order up.
These pants fit great in the waist, but they're too long for my 5'4 frame. They looked good with heeled boots but not sneakers. Unfortunately, for the price tag these need to be perfect so I had to return.
They fit nicely around the waist so even though they're wide leg, they still show off your shape a bit. The material is nice and feels good quality, they've got a good thickness (they look/feel expensive). I can easily dress these up or down, wear them with heels or flats. They're pretty long but I prefer that to pants being too short because at least you can hem them if you want. I'd say these fit pretty true to size. There's no stretch to them though.

Love these pants! The fabric is nice and flowy. Im 5'7" (37"x29"x42" 161lbs) and tried a tall, which fits perfectly wearing a pair of sneakers or sandals with a bit of a lift. That being said, there is only two colors available and would like to see more selection. Same with fabrics, this one might be a bit chilly in the winter. Also, FYI for sizing, regular would be just a bit too short for me and I do need the waist taken in a bit. Will definitely purchase more if we can get either of these!
Love the extra width in the leg, I have the regular effortless pants but these just have a different feel. A little more relaxed. I can wear with Tekees, runners or heels. Love love love. I wear a 12 and I usually need a tall in pants but these are the perfect length.
I love this pant so much this is the 3rd colour I’ve ordered. Love the fit and feel of it when wearing. Flattering style. I travel a lot and it doesn’t wrinkle, so love that!
I bought the regular effortless pants a few months back and there was something that just felt odd about them. Ordered the wider version a few days ago and they fit me so much better. They are perfect for girlies with larger hips !
For reference, I am 5'0 and 120 llbs. I'm usually a size 6, but had to size down in these pants to a size 4. The SHORT style is still long for us shorties, I will still have to hem them at least 3 inches shorter. But love the style, comfort and look.
The high waist is very flattering and the wide leg style is classic and elegant. The material is great: wore them on an overseas flight and they kept me warm in a cold cabin and stay wrinkle free. Highly recommend.
So happy with these. The original effortless were a little tight around my butt and hips while loose around my waist but these ones fit like a dream. I wish all my pants fit like these.
I did not expect to love a pair of pants so much. I sized up accounting for the model size proportions and it was the right move. They fit perfectly and the material is so comfortable, I feel like I can do life and work in these pants all while looking like a million bucks.
Love these, I wear them to work often. I have the black and grey colours. However, took a star off because the lighter colour (white birch) was pretty see through. Got the short size and I’m 5’2, they fit perfectly.
The wider effortless pants are perfect for the pear and hourglass shape body! They are so flattering comparing to the regular effortless pants which suit the rectangular and the inverted triangle body shape more. I will be purchasing the few more colors of this wider fit version. Love it!
