The Cocoon Long Coat - Wool Cashmere

The Coccoon coat has great lines. I have not worn it yet so I am hoping that it wears well. The coat has an over 10% man made materials so the coat may not have the same longevity as a 100% wool coat. We will see.

Looks so elegant on my daughter! Had to go up a size due to the sleeve length and ability to wear a bulky sweater underneath.

Love the coat! I wasn’t sure if it would actually provide warmth in -20C weather. However, the coat has surpassed my expectations and kept me toasty even when it was -20C and windy!
You definitely need to wear a scarf to keep your neck warm.

The only reason I am taking one star off is because like many Aritzia clothes, the sizing does not work best unless you are petite. I have broad shoulders and big boobs (DD) and the fitting is a little shy of being perfect. When I lift up my arms the sleeves do stretch a little. Overall it’s fine but the fitting could have been better.

Can’t comment on the longevity because I will be returning just after receiving. I ordered a size S (5’7”, 120lbs) and it looks wonderful unbuttoned. However I think the silhouette of this coat is cut to suit someone with a straighter build because after buttoning, the bottom button was creating tension and pulling the fabric so it looked too snug at the bottom even though it fit everywhere else perfectly. I consider myself somewhat pear shaped, not overly so though (26 waist, 38 hips). It’s the combination cut and length that sadly doesn’t work. Maybe the shorter length would.

I’ve only worn this coat a handful of times, and it already looks shabby and worn out. I’m really disappointed, especially considering the price point.

Beautiful coat but unfortunately the fabric pills after a few wears and ends up looking low quality. Very disappointing for the price and should be made with 100% wool to avoid this.

Beautiful jacket but unfortunately it was too big on me and did not like the fit. Ended up returning it. It gives that box look, which I’m not into.

Small was far too tight in the arms but fitted which looked very flattering. Went up to the medium to fit in the arms now there’s so much loose fabric and looks sloppy :(

Any suggestions on which material should I pick in the cocoon coat as they have 3 options ? I want more of a structured look.

The cocoon long coat is luxuriously made of fine materials and quality construction. The design provides great shoulder room for when wearing sweaters, and the length of the coat and sleeves makes for great fit. I highly recommend this coat!

I received so many complaints, I'll buy another one in other color.

I had another same branded wool coat and S size is too tight to me. I ordered M for me and it’s bigger than I expected. The sleeves are very long. The stitches were not strong. The clothes is baggy on me.

I have three of these coat from previous years and they look new still, but the new version look old already, disappointed.

Gorgeous and warm fabric, soft to the touch. Tailoring is excellent and fit is just right for a slim teenager. Elegant!

I wish the coat pattern was drafted a bit larger in the hips, but it still fits ok. It would’ve been massive in the shoulders if I sized up, so I’ll make do! Overall very nice, very warm. I get a lot compliments on this coat.

I thought I wanted a double breasted coat like the Only Coat or the Slouch but after trying those on and then trying on the Cocoon, I felt i looked best in the Cocoon. It's very warm and I feel chic and comfortable in it. I"m 5'10" and i found the arms to be long enough. It fit me very well in my usual size large. I think it's a great coat for the price.

I love the style of the coat, especially that it covers the neck and chest for warmth. The wool was nice and soft, not itchy. However, I tried two different sizes, and although the second one fit fairly well in the body and length, the sleeves were still way too long.

I am so glad i bought this coat. It is perfect for work or events. I feel sophisticated, polished and put together. The camel colour is gorgeous and the hidden buttons add so much elegance. I sized up so that i could have a lose fit and not too snug and tight around my chest area.

The coat is true to size. Nice and soft material. But length of the sleeves is a little bit long ( 1inch long) and the same for any size. I bought XSM and 2XSM and sleeves of both coats were the same. I decided to return them because alterations service would be more expensive.

Most likely f Artiza items fit me well. Not only was it too long, but it was very loose fitting. Extreme disappointment. With that being said, I LOVE this store and will always go back. I'm petite and the 00 and 2xs usually fit me well. Not every brand is going to fit perfectly. They have excellent customer service and helpful in all ways!

The quality, style and overall look of this coat is amazing. It’s a beautiful coat for winter.
The sizing on the other hand is off.
I’m normally a large, but it looked a bit large and too long for my height. I tried on a medium in store but it felt snug on my arms (the length was a little past my knees which was perfect)
I decided to go for the large in case I would like to wear a sweater underneath. However I still did not think I could wear this coat out (I bought it on sale so it was final sale)
I decided to take it to the tailors and shorten the length and adjust the buttons to make it a bit tighter.
Now the coat is perfect. By the way I’m 5’4.
I took off one star because of the sizing issue and had to spend extra money to be able to wear it.
Overall it’s a really nice coat and warm.

Love the style originally, however, it’s not like the label says it resists-20 degrees.

This coat is a 10/10 would recommend. You can dress it up or dress it down. I’m actually 54 so the code stops about 3 inches above my ankles.. I like to wear it mostly with jeans and a fitted top and some sneakers to run errands. It’s really one of those fashion statement pieces.

The cocoon long coat is comfortable, warm and looks great dressed up or casual.

I’m 5’8 and this coat hit me mid calf which is exactly what I was looking for. It’s super soft, well tailored and wears beautifully. I’m obsessed with this coat.

I own 4 pairs of cocoon jacket 3 in shorts & one long so this pair might be my 4th if I don’t decide to return them because of the fabric

I was on the hunt for a good quality coat. I purchased this coat last year. Although it feels good, looks good further inspection shows patches of wool missing. I was hoping no one would notice but while out to dinner my husband pointed out that my jacket had patches of wool missing. It’s a shame because it’s a very nice looking coat but for the price I was expecting better quality. I have cheaper wool coats that don’t have that issue of missing patches.

Very warm, fits a bit loosely in the body which I like because I can wear a sweater underneath and still have room. Beautiful dress coat.

I wanted to love this coat but instead of being stylish it swallowed me up. It was very long and seemed to hang on my body even though it was the right size. Great quality though!

It is a pretty oversized look - I was in between sizes, so I had to size down. I’m 5’7, athletic/thin build and the XS is perfect for me.

Jacket is absolutely gorgeous. Very happy with the look and the fit.

The structure of the jacket is lovely, but the quality is just not what it used to be. The wool of the coat looked as though it had already been worn, and the sleeves were easily 3” too long (and I’m not short, 5’6”). It went back.

The quality of the cocoon coat had really gone down. I’ve purchased a few of these in different colours over the years and they have never pilled, but this one started pilling after a few months of wear. It looked old and fuzzy. Very disappointing.

I love the new long Cocoon coat! It fits perfectly and the wool is of very high quality. This is a coat that I will wear for years to come. I am also a fan of the outside pockets!

I received my order online so excited but wen i opened my package folded from the box wrapped in aritzia paper bag its wrinkled on the bottom part.. i hate it when i wear wrinkles clothes..i wish i could iron d cocoon wool coat, i dont want to spend $just to bring in dryclean store. And bec i dont want to wear wrinkled i decided to return it to the store. Love this cost style & fit i wish they could put in hanger & garment protector wrap & use longer box for coat.

I am so pleased with this Wilfred Cocoon Long Coat with Pop-up Collar made from Italian Wool and Cashmere. I purchased the Size XS in Bone (which is easy to accessorise with any color) and have received numerous compliments. It is beautifully made, looks and feels luxurious. The fit is contoured and flattering. I am 5’ 8” (173 cm) and weigh 120 lbs (54 kilo) The length comes to mid calf. The pockets are placed perfectly and the collar makes the coat stand out from any other. This coat will not disappoint.

This is the type of coat you keep for a decade+. The fit is beautiful, looks way more expensive than it is. Soft material, impecable finishes, and it really keeps you warm! Everywhere I go wearing it people comment on it. highly recommend.

This is such a beautiful coat. Super warm and soft. Easily dressed up or down.

I ordered this coat after purchasing the shorter version of it, which fit perfectly and looked flattering. I assumed the size would be the same as only the length was being increased. This coat is much larger and doesn't fit well and isn't flattering. It looks bulky and square and hangs off me. I should have sized down but the lower size isn't available in stock, so I'm stuck with it.

I own the shorter cocoon coat from a few years ago and the wool was super soft, non-itchy and good quality. It is too bad that the new version looks cheaper, as well as the lining material and stitches and the material is more itchy and it is still the same price...

Overall the style is great and I prefer the longer version. For reference I am a size 8 or medium (5''8, 150 lbs) in Aritzia clothing and I got a size L in this coat since I have broader shoulders.

Arms are awkwardly long for small and extra small sizes. Really bad return policy too.

Beautiful coat, looks great with collar up, but love it also with collar down. Ordered size XS, as I am a smaller person, but found it too tight under the arms for wearing it with bulkier clothes. Small was perfect!

Got this is camel and love it

I get so many compliments on this jacket it's unreal. And I know this price point is an investment for some, but I'm telling you, it looks WAY more expensive than it is. Stunning.

This coat is such a classic! Love the sleek, clean lines and the popped collar, which makes you look effortlessly put together. The material is very nice too - soft, thick and warm. I purchased this in the colour 'cigar' and am very happy with it - it's somewhat neutral, but still a statement piece on its own. The length works very well for me as well (I'm 5'6) - hits me slightly above mid-calf. My only concern with this coat is the buttons, which I can see becoming loose over time. Thankfully the jacket comes with a backup one. I went with a M for this jacket, which is my usual size for Aritzia jackets (Powder, Connor, Montage) and it fits perfectly. Please keep producing this jacket Aritizia, and don't compromise on the quality! Looking forward to buying a different colour in the future.
