I needed a lighter jacket than my powder parka but still warm for Canadian winters, waterproof and no fur. Really loved the look and feel of this jacket! I love that the fit is slightly oversized to wear a sweater or layer underneath. There’s a drawstring inside to cinch at the waist which is nice. This jacket was also perfect to run errands and on days you want to wear a less heavy jacket.

This is a great winter jacket. I’m not suren if the jacket was improved since the reviews, but the zipper on my jacket is sturdy and smooth. I have no issues with it. It is lightweight and warm, which I love. My previous jacket was just so heavy. I also thought the fit was true to size. I could go one size down, but if you like to layer underneath, you don’t need to.

Earlier I bought the same size, a longer version of the same parka, in 2 colors. I am very happy with both. Wanted to have also a shorter version for a slushy weather. This one is too short, up to the knees, and it does not look flattering at all on me. It looks thicker and bulkier than the longer ones.

Size runs a bit big. But overall its fine

Great minimalist, warm, waterproof parka. Perfect for Vancouver wet winters. I sized down from my regular S to an XS and fit perfectly. For reference, I’m 5’7” and 115 lbs. Love the additional magnet closures. But careful, those magnets are powerful. I walked out of the house once with a fork stuck to the flap and did not notice for a long while.

I was reluctant to buy one more black coat, but I wanted a combination of things that my existing winter coats don't have. I bought this at the last minute before a wintery vacation, and I am so glad I did! It was just what I needed: warmth, length (to keep part of the legs warm, soft fabric along the wrists that prevents air from flowing in, waterproof exterior and built in hat which allows this to work as a raincoat), good sized but discreet looking exterior hand pockets and an internal pocket, and zipper and magnetic buttons. The material for the most part is appealing: I like the matte surface of the exterior, and the interior fabric is silky to to touch. Details like this and the fact that it is sleek in cut keep it from being just a "parka". I also was surprised at how much I like the magnetic buttons. I never bothered with the zipper on my trip because the magnetic buttons just effortlessly snapped into place with a will of their own ! At the same time, it is easy to undo them when necessary. I first ordered the medium since I tend to be a medium in tops, but it gave a bit of room along the sides, and I wanted it to be more fitted looking. I found that with the small size I could still wear a heavy sweater underneath with no problem. The only minor detail I would change is that the interior pocket has a plastic cover. I am not a plastic fan and don't know how this will hold up over time, but at least this is a detail that no one sees since it is the interior pocket. Otherwise, I am very pleased with this purchase, and was impressed with how warm it kept me in cold temperatures.

The silhouette is nice, but for how pricey it is I would expect a higher quality zipper. It was difficult to use every time I tried it on. I also feel that it fits true to size - I got the XS as recommended by the website and it felt a bit snug on my arms when wearing with a sweater underneath. As a result of the zipper and size, I had to return the coat.

I would like to talk all about how much I like this parka, but all I can think about is how annoying the zipper is. The parka is slightly oversized, it is sleek, kept me warm in -40 weather, but the zipper is cheap and it takes me 5mins to figure it out each time. I have debated returning the parka based on that alone.

Pros: The Navy colour is beautiful. As someone who isn't a big fan of puffers, I love how sleek and simple the exterior is. Good quality overall.
Cons: The coat fits slightly larger and is somewhat shapeless. I got a Medium and I could have sized down (5'6", 140 lbs). Another con is the plastic zipper. I've had trouble zipping up the coat every time and it doesn't look very durable. On such an expensive coat, this is a shame.

I was debating whether to get this coat in the mid- or long length version and opted for the mid-length. I loved the coat, as it is high quality, well made, and sleeker than most puffers. Yet, I am large-chested (38DD) and found that my usual size XL was too tight around the chest area. I like my coats a bit roomier. So I returned it and hoping that Aritzia will re-stock the size 2XL.

This parka is very warm for the west coast climate that I live in. I gave it 4 stars because the zipper seems cheap compare to the rest of the coat and it is often a struggle to get it zipped up. Aritzia please invest in better zippers when we are paying $400 for a coat.
I ordered a medium to allow room for a sweater but given our mild winters it is warm enough with just a light top underneath. For reference I am 5’2” and 130lbs.

What sold me on this jacket is that it's sleek (no extra details that don't have practicality), it's windproof and waterproof. The magnets on the zip are also quite strong! For sizing I measure 46" in the hips and 35" in the waist and I got an XL at first but went to change it for an L and it's very comfortable and roomy enough. So far I've not had the chance to wear it in the rain so far but wind wise it's very protective. Love my jacket so far!

I tried this coat on in-store. It fits larger so you might need to size down. It's quite light and looks nice on, but I had trouble with the zipper every time. The zipper also felt like it could easily break. For a winter coat that is used daily, they need to have heavy-duty zippers, not a cheap plastic one. I would buy this coat if not for the zipper choice, truly a shame.

This parka is great. I am usually a size medium, but after trying a medium I went with a small. I am 5'4" and it falls just below my knees.

I love it, it's well made with beautiful fabric. I love the matte finish on the outside and the pearl lining. Beautiful super warm jacket. Worth every penny.

I bought this coat last year. My usual XS was quite loose on me, so had to exchange. I liked the style and looked like it was going to keep me warm, so didn’t mind it. But after a season of trying to make this work, I regret buying this. 1)It’s not warm at all. Feel draft on my back all the time even though it fits. 2) Hate the cuff material. It pills like crazy, super tight and thin, very uncomfortable. 3) Magnet too strong. Stuck everywhere including dirty salty car doors and public washroom doors. 4) Don’t like how outer shell holds up. It fades easily(mine’s black) and gets white marking even when lightly scratched, since it’s tough material. 5) Hood and collar very uncomfortable.
I buy winter coats to wear everyday for several years, and this isn’t it. Total waste of money and time.

I was pleasantly surprised by this jacket, it is worth the price tag. I owned the Powder Parka but needed to upgrade because I grew out of the size. This jacket is much better in my opinion. Flattering slim fit but very warm, light and comfortable. So far it has remained waterproof and has kept me toasty for the west coast winter. I am normally a size M (135 lbs/5"3) but I got this in a S and it fits perfectly. Really happy with this purchase.

Love this parka, super cozy and warm, nice low-profile and timeless fit. Only complaint is I wish it had more pockets and that pockets were bigger. (Purchased in December 2021, so may have changed since then)

I'm between S and M and went with S. For reference, I'm 130lb, 34D. It fits well, slightly loose (room for a sweater!) but not oversized, I quite like the look and ease of movement it allows on long dog walks. Very lightweight yet plenty warm and waterproof, I like the sleek minimalistic design. Very happy with the purchase.

Ive purchased this jacket twice. The first time was last year when I was needing a winter coat and found that it was a little too thin for my liking (at the time). I instead went with the Superpuff which I dont regret. I needed a a slightly lighter insulated waterproof jacket that could help me transition between BC's warmish winters and early springs. This jacket came back to mind. Bought it again and happy that I did. Sizing is good, it is a pinch (very slightly) tight around the chest when I do have a heavier layer on underneath. Without a layer it fits perfectly. I wear S usually but with the reviews saying to size down, I think the XS is 95% of a good fit. This will be a fall/early winter/ early spring late winter jacket for me !

The fit is slightly oversized, but not excessive. The fabric seemed delicate at first compared to my wool coat, but it is durable enough for casual wear. I wouldn’t do farm work in this. In the rain, water would bead or sit on top of the fabric, surprisingly light weight, and amazingly warm. I was in need of a new winter coat, glad I picked this up. Definitely use down coat wash care.

I usually wear size M so bought Size M but definitely fits me big! Especially the sleeves are too loose and long. Recommend me size S But I didn't notice it until later and It was too late to return or exchange Because it was on sale. Otherwise it should be worth buying because the quality is good and the style is good And it won't feel heavy. It's light and warm

Fits big. I bought xs, which is my regular size but I should’ve got a 2xs.

The jacket is very comfortable and warm. Tried it in cold weather and I liked the palm detailing which keeps the whole arm and body warm. However, the hood isn't big enough and doesn't cover the head well. In windy weather, it's quite difficult to keep head covered.

Unfortunately i had to return the parka due to a faulty zipper

I am in between M and L so I initially ordered L but found it way too big. I exchanged to M and it fits much better. I haven’t tested in extreme cold weather yet but it kept me warm and toasty in colder weather (-5). It’s very lightweight and helps me to stay active. I love it so far!

Great quality parka and pretty warm. I've had it for a month and I've worn it pretty much every day. I love the magnetized buttons, although I agree with another reviewer who said the last button makes it hard to walk at times. It does fit pretty large -- according to the size chart, I should be a small but when I tried on in the store, the XXS and XS both fit well. I ended up with the XS to make room for multiple layers underneath.

First I bought my usual size L and was way to big exchange it for a m still big I kept it because I love the style of it. i wear it on colder days with extra layer.nice color also love it.

Hidden magnet buttons, so it's very easy to "button up" the jacket without using the zipper at all.

Great coat keeps you warm outside and doesnt over heat you inside! Fits larger then i expected to i orderes according, i actualy could have even done a xs but i like having extra room. Oh and i ordered gun metal green and its darker then in the photo which i was actualy really happy about ! Was worried the light wouldnt go with everything but the actual color does ! Oh and for reference im 5'6 135 pounds.

I like the simplicity design of the parka. It’s a bit of oversized tho, has too adjust the waist elastics.

I really wanted to love this parka because I bought it to replace my older Aritzia parka - which I loved for its minimal look and length. This parka was the same price and similar design as my last one but I was so shocked to see how thin it and how poor the stitching and zipper construction was. It might work for a fall jacket but I don’t think this is ideal for anything lower than -5c.

I love how simple this parka is. No fur, no neck/wrist cuffs etc, just very clean. The fitting is great and slightly roomy in your regular size, classic fit with room just as it says. I haven’t worn it out yet but I just love it. I ordered the modern taupe, I was worried it has the potential to get dirty, but after looking at I think that is not the case.

This jacket is super cute, loved the design and how warm is keeps me. I bought this jacket solely because it was listed as 100% waterproof. sadly that is not the case. i was outside in the rain for a good 5 minutes just to see the water soak all the stitching and edges of my sleeve, wish i could refund,

I wanted a parka that wasn't as tight as the TNA Bancroft Parka, and this was perfect. It was super nice and warm, and has an adjustable waist! You can also adjust the hood. It's usually hard to find coats that fit my petite frame, but this was perfect. The sleeves are a bit long, but thanks to the built-in storm cuff, it keeps the sleeves above my hands. Highly recommend!

I wasn't sure about it because it's so different from my last Aritzia parka. It isn't bulky. It has nice long aleeves and the fabric is soft. I'm happy.

Top quality parka. I ordered modern taupe color and it looked more like light olive color and was beautiful. It was very light and high quality. I am 5'4", 34D/29/37 and ordered small. It fit roomy except for the chest area where it was too tight and unfortunately I had to return for this reason.

I own the tna summit parka (in pink from 3 years ago) I bought a couple years ago but I wanted a parka that was a little less pink. So I had my eye on the explore parka for a while before I pulled the trigger and got this. Weight wise it incredibly light and also so warm. Weighs a lot less than the summit parka and kept me toasty through the month of Dec’e three weeks of frigid cold weather. Only complaint is that it’s pretty roomy. My shoulders fit but the torso area was baggie and I contemplated about getting the xs but I was worried about shoulders not fitting so I just kept the small. I’m a M in the summit parka. I’m 5’2’’ and 145lbs

This jacket is lightweight and wind proof. I received it just as the stretches of -30 days were coming to an end. I don’t feel that it will stand up to those temps alone without a bunch of layers but I will say that it fits larger so size down. I found the zipper and magnetic buttons to be sort of annoying and low quality. This jacket is not inexpensive but it feels like the quality has gone downhill in recent years

I don't usually write reviews but this parka is very good. I was back and forth on a few styles in the store and settled on this one because it was so lightweight. I wore it yesterday at -30deg for a 1hrs walk and I was 100% warm everywhere this parka touched me. Super happy and the cinched waist is a nice touch.

I don't typically write reviews but I love this jacket. It is lightweight, warm, waterproof and chic - literally everything you need for a west coast winter. The magnetic buttons are so handy and much more flexible than the traditional zippers. My only suggestion is that it does run a bit large, especially for someone petite like me, and it would be great if they could produce an XXXS option. If so, I would definitely get it in another color!

Love this jacket, I was looking for a lightweight (but warm) parka and this is perfect. It’s very waterproof and holds up amazing in the wet snow/slush we typically get in Toronto. It keeps me warm but I don’t overheat if it isn’t super cold.

It's a very warm, lightweight coat! I love wearing it since it's not bulky or cumbersome, and while it's super warm I don't overheat either. I'm 130lbs, 5'3", anywhere from a size 4 to 8 depending on the clothing and the small definitely has quite a bit of room for me, though when I cinched the waist it was fine. I also love that it doesn't have any fake fur since the texture of it freaks me out a bit. The only sort of criticism/warning I have is if you walk very close to anything metal, the magnet button things will probably stick to it but I mostly find that entertaining since I have the maturity of a preschool child.
