ty cardigan

I love the Ty Cardigan and have repurchased in another colour. Super soft, a bit of stretch and true to size. I wash on delicate and hang to dry, still looks brand new.

Beautiful cardigan but is a bit heavy. I would prefer a lighter weight.

I would completely recommend this cardigan true to size. Great quality looks amazing.

I love this cardigan. I have it in four colours. It is true in regards to the pilling that others have mentioned. They do pill quickly and that is why I gave 4 stars, not five. I still wear them all the time, just likely won’t wear to work anymore.

This cardigan is beautiful. Can be dressed up or down. I ordered my regular size Medium.

This item fits well but pills VERY quickly. If you purchase a dark colour, be aware that you will also see bits of white elastic that fray at the elbows. I tried cutting them off but there are so many of them it's an exercise in futility. I am normally quite happy with my purchases but this is one that I regret spending money on.

I am 5’4” 110 lbs and this sweater fits perfect. I love it so much I have it in 4 colours. You can throw it on with anything and it elevates any outfit

I love 85 percent of my Aritzia wardrobe. I am a fan. I often by in multiples colours if I like an item - which is why I bought two of these full price a couple weeks ago.

I have worn each twice and they are literally COVERED in pills. I don't mind a bit of maintenance but this is very disappointing. These have gone from front row dresswear, to wear around the house frumps in 2 wears for a total of $300. :(

Am usually a size L, but I Got the gold camel in a 2 XL. I absolutely love it! Getting it oversized makes it look like a coat!! You simply don’t need a real coat in Southern California. Get that calf length oversized coat look but without all the weight, bulk and price.

Fits well! Love the color

The quality is great, the fabric is soft. But it is made for people with no hips and does not look good on someone who does. Unfortunately if you are like me, it was too big on the top and hugged my hips in a way that was completely unflattering. Wish there was a slit on the side to made it flattering for all.

This was a gift for someone else. She loved it and the color and the size.

Paired with leggings and a crop. Fabric is soft and thick. Love it!

Everyone was saying to size down, but I would say it’s a little big on the sleeves but around the waist I feel it is a bit small. I’m not sure if this is supposed to completely close or stay a bit open, but I would usually order an extra large, but I would size up for my hips. I think it would look better open rather than closed with the tie in the front.

I purchased this cardigan last winter in birch and loved it. I have received many compliments and I have found that if you treat it with care, it will not pill. I am going to purchase a darker colour this season so hopefully it is made the same as it was last season. For reference I am 5'8 and 150 lbs and I find a small fits perfectly. I originally ordered a medium and found it too boxy.

I normally do not love long sweaters but this one is a must!!! I have it in black and a tan color. I have received so many compliments! I have worn it a few times and no piling. Great to dress up and down. I would love every color!

This pilled terribly after just a single use, especially in the center of the back. It now looks very old and used. I expected a much better quality product given the price and the brand. Best save your money.

Love the fit and length for me I’m 5’3”.

It’s a gorgeous cardigan on but it won’t last more than a few wears. It pills extremely easily and it looks very shabby unfortunately.

I bought this cardigan to wear to a conference (and to the office afterward). I really love the fit of this cardigan and the feeling of its fabric. The sizing was a little larger than usual (I'm usually a medium at Aritzia and I wore a small in this). It was really easy to pair with all of my outfits for the conference, however, after the first day I noticed several large "pulls" in the fabric right on the center of the back! Super frustrating. (Note: I haven't seen any pilling, like others had mentioned.) I really wish I could return it because after 1 day of wear looks so terrible and I can't wear it out!!! It makes me so sad whenever I see it in my closet!

Don't waste your money

Bought approximately a year and a half ago, and I have only worn it a handful of times since the fabric is delicate and pills quite easily. Now, one of the pockets (I don’t put anything in them because it is so delicate) now has a split seam. I would expect better quality from an Aritzia product, do better.

I purchased this sweater about a year ago and have wore it to the office a few times. The fabric is already looking worn in spots and not the quality I would have expect for the price point. Unfortunately, I won't wear it for work anymore.

Buy this now! You won’t be disappointed.

I’m a fan of cardigans and I fell in love with this one as well. Will definitely be getting different colours of it.

Fabric quality is great

Quite disappointing as within days of wearing, I noticed quite a bit of pilling. I purchased 2 of them because I loved the style and fit, but expected much more given the price. Aritzia can do much better!

Love it! Kinda big size down.

Fits true to size, I’m normally about an XS or small in sweaters and I got an XS and it’s not super fitted but not baggy. Super nice, just right thick material, soft, and falls beautifully. Easy to dress up or down. Perfect transitional fall sweater, to still be able to wear more summery outfits under for when days are hot but evenings are cooler. Will work great with winter outfits too. Highly recommend this sweater!!!

Great sweater - material is lovely. I gave it 4 starts because when I received it the small belt loop came loose from the sweater very easily (I ended up just taking the belt off in the end because of it) and when I hand washed it in cold water, it shrunk a little. Overall, the sweater is very nice and I get a lot of compliments on it, but kind of sad about those two things. I would recommend ordering true to size - I’m 5’5, 165lbs, and wished I ordered a medium.

Ordered online so wasn’t sure this would be the classic tan I was looking for but it is! Beautiful weight and hangs really nice.

I have 2 ty cardigans that I’ve purchased recently. It’s been too hot to wear so I can’t talk about that. But the material is thick and the length is fine (I’m 5’1). I’m usually a small in aritzia, but I got a size XS in both and they fit great.

I love the length and shape of this cardigan but I find that it does pill quite easily, especially around the arm area where you tend to rub against your body naturally throughout the day

I ordered this cardigan in "fluent taupe" as I loved the colour and can wear it to the office. I am usually a small or xs depending on the fit, but I find cardigans I have to size down so I ordered the xs (and also thought the small might be too long for me as I am petite). Before purchasing, I read some reviews were positive and then a couple that stated it was prone to pilling. Once receiving, I noticed it was very soft and has a nice weight to it. On the first day I wore it, I received lots of compliments. Day one was good - so far, no pilling. (I sit at a desk so I don't move around where I can rub against anything to "cause pilling" from lots of movement or brushing up against other fabrics). I wore it again about two weeks later in the office and I noticed the undersides of the arms getting "fluffy". I hoping it was just my eyes "over noticing" because I read that it was prone to pilling and I was watching for it to happen. Today, (third time) in the office and you can visibly notice the pilling happening under the arms from the wrists to the arm pits (there is no pilling on the tops of the arms part, just the undersides. I was planning to buy the brown colour next as it is really gorgeous in person if the one I just bought didn't pill, but sadly it is pilling and I don't want to spend money on a "garment investment" if it looks "tired looking" after three wears. I feel wearing it three times in an office shouldn't make it wear out so quickly, especially if you are just sitting and occasionally going up to the photocopier. The pilling is different than my wool sweaters as the pilling from wool or cashmere can be removed so it looks new again, the pilling from this cardigan is like a blended fluff that can't be removed as it is "attached" so I can imagine after wearing it only a couple more times, it will look "old and worn" and not in brand new looking condition with a smooth fabric appearance (it came smooth in the package, but it is becoming fluffy on the undersides of the arms now). If you don't care about the pilling, the colour, weight and length is nice. Perhaps the black you won't notice it as much (it will still pill, but it will be darker to notice). If you like to keep your clothing is immaculate/new-like condition like I do, the pilling will bother you and be an annoyance considering you only wore it three times before it starts to show.
