This is my second Slouch Coat ! It’s the warmest coat I own , and my Go To all winter Fabric is High quality , and worth every penny. Highly recommend this Beauty !
I’m 5feet and 115 pounds so I went with the short version, the material is beautiful and surprisingly warm, I’ve been wearing it all winter with a scarf the only downfall are that the sleeves are a bit short, not when I’m standing straight but when I’m driving they go above my wrists at least 2 inches. I’m usually xs I would say it is true to size considering this style is not snug, made to layer with sweaters, also the shoulders aren’t boxy at all.
In the past couple of weeks, I purchased 5 coats , 2 super puffs 2 Only and 1 Slouch, love every single piece I received!!!! All in S!!! I love wearing all my tops baggy ...so been looking for an oversize coat for years and never have any luck until now!!! and then came upon the Slouch !!! PERFECT!!! Concierge service was AMAZING!!!! Looking to add another Super Puff Matte Pearl to my collection soon ...Highly recommend!!!
The fit is amazing, a bit oversized for a casual feel but still makes any outfit feel put together. The wool is also very soft and not very itchy, can’t wait to wear this all winter long!
I got the black recamel slouch in size s two years ago. I am usually between a small-medium and this coat fits well and allows me to move and bend comfortably even with thick sweaters underneath. This coat is WARM. I loved it so much I got the newer version in burnt cedar. I am not sure if its due to the color but the older version was way softer and more fluid than the new version. I sized down to an xs in burnt cedar as I did feel at times like I was swimming in the black coat depending on the outfit i had on underneath. I only took off a star as it can be itchy at times around the neck. This coat gives you the relaxed “put together” look. Def my style.
I got the slouch coat in ReCamel Wool, and it’s so nice and warm. I am usually between a small and medium in Aritzia sweaters, and I got this in Small, and it’s the perfect fit.
The coat fits and is tailored very well but the fabric for the price is thin and light. With what I paid and the materials advertise I expected the thickness of the material to be more and to be able to feel the weight.

I really appreciate the short length for petite women like me! The coat is very high quality and I receive many compliments. It’s soft to the touch and warm but not too heavy. The quality of the re(camel) is evident just by looking at the coat as you can see the luxurious texture of the material. I got the brown cedar in a size 1/XS. I vary between 2 & 4 but the coat is an oversized fit. The coat will last many years & you can see the details that were put into crafting this coat! The perfect stitching & re-inforced buttons are only some of the distinct details. It’s worth EVERY PENNY! Love this coat!
I've been on the fence of buying this coat because I wasn't sure if it was worth the money but I finally pulled the plug and bought it and I've been obsessed with it ever since. It elevates every outfit and keeps me warm during the cold weather. If you're reading this and you're on the fence to buy it, I say go for it, you won't regret it!
I cannot tell you how many times I read each review for the Slouch and Only coats taking note of peoples height and dress size to try to choose the best fit for me...not to mention the amount of instagram/tiktok videos I watched to try to make a decision...I was originally drawn to the Only coat because of the cut and cashmere/wool material. I do not live near an Aritzia boutique so I just ordered both online... I am 5'7.5, true size 6/M in Aritzia clothing. I am also athletic build and have broader shoulders. I ordered a Small in both coats. They both fit oversized in the perfect way - a M would be toooo big - and I love an oversized look. As I tried them on with a variety of outfits - sweatsuits, casual jean outfits, dressy dinner outfits etc.. The slouch was the front runner for me and ultimately the one I decided to keep. I still LOVED the Only coat but it just struck be as more "tailored" look and didn't go as well with the casually styled fits IMO.. I also felt like the Only coat accentuated by shoulders and made me feel even more broad than I am.. Hopefully this review helps if you are on the fence like I was.. I will likely end up with an Only coat in the future but for now, I just think the Slouch fit the bill of what I was going for - can be dressed up or down, oversized, not trying too-hard, not too-dressy overcoat.
Got the camel wool coat and it's so beautiful. The colours of these coats are so nice. It's hard to choose. I got the Nomad Taupe. It's not as yellow in person as it shows on the screen. I would say it's a soft muted griege. The fabric is soft and very warm I haven't tested it yet but I am happy with the purchase.
It's very warm for -10 to -15 kind of weather. Great quality love the colour and it's worth the price. I am loving it in my pregnancy and can't wait to enjoy it after pregnancy as well
THIS USED TO BE THE BEST COAT FOR PEOPLE WITH INVERTED TRIANGLE BODY
The arms used to be loose allowing more space and bulk at the same time. My go to coat everytime! I decided to buy this year 2024 at the start of fall but noticed the sizing was off on the arms. My slouch coat was size small and still had room on the arms. I decided to buy another one size up which was medium but was disappointed that it felt tight on the arms! I was just even wearing a thin t shirt. I had to size up to large but my small two years older slouch coat still had more room. Even sizing up to large wasn’t the issue but, the length of the sleeves made it look hideous. How can you still call it “slouch” if it’s not even a “slouch” coat anymore? It’s more like the other coats stedman or constant.
I like it but not love it. I mean it looks good cannot say much about the quality until I wear it over certain time period. Color is great, I got brown one in camel wool. Bit loose I got size small
I have been eyeing this for a year now after watching an influencer promote it. I believe we have the same measurements, 5ft and 100lbs. However, when I tried this on it looked so oversized that I thought I had ordered the regular vs short. I ordered the color burnt cedar in XXS short. I now see there is an XXXS short option in another color. On a positive note, the color is beautiful and it is amazingly soft. The quality is definitely worth the price tag.
I’ve wanted this coat for years. Finally purchased it in camel and it’s truly worth every penny. I love the slouched fit of this and how perfect it looks thrown over a sweat suit and dressed up too. The arms are a tad short but not too short that the fit looks off, otherwise the coat is perfection. I sized down to a small from my normal medium and it’s still oversized, even over a baggy hoodie. Definitely a timeless investment piece but worth it.
I love my slouch! I am 5’7, about 120lbs, I ordered the XS tall and it’s perfect. I tried the XS regular and tall in store, and the arms on the regular were way too short. The tall is perfect, arms are the right length without being too long, and I love the extra length of the jacket. Really elevates any outfit and is warmer than I was expecting. Only downside is it gets wrinkled pretty easily.
I am 4'10/96lbs/34-23-32 and I got the short version in XXS. I am amazed at how well it sits on my small frame! The sleeves are the perfect length, and I still have space to put a hoodie or a blazer underneath. If the short version was available in XXXS it would have been more snug but oh well! Very satisfied overall.
Unfortunately I had to return it because the quality and fit are not the same as the previous slouch. The new one fits boxier not flattering at all compared with my old one. The quality is different too, it feels much thinner than the previous version. This coat should be sold for not more than 200$!
This coat is AWESOME! I have gotten compliments from men and women. Love the oversized but not sloppy fit and the color is camel perfection!! I am 5'4" and weigh 150lbs. Curvy
I was fussing over this jacket for a LONG time before I saw the Black Friday deal and decided to go for it. Initial thoughts - the camel hair makes the jacket SO SOFT (!!!!) which no one seems to mention in the reviews!! I am a consistent size 4 or small but went with the size recommendation of XS, and glad I did. The XS is roomy but tailored and the sleeves fall to a really good length just below the wrist bone. The burnt cedar color looks old money and is a little more exciting than the black or camel in my opinion.
Love the style and fit. Slightly oversized but that is the style. I just do not love the (re) camel wool as I found it very itchy on my neck. Going to try again in the wool/cashmere blend instead!
Beautiful color, warm and slouchy indeed but without that strict soldiery look. It is elegant enough but not too polished which means that it can serve well very relaxed and very polished style without looking out of place. It fits slightly bigger (I even sized up ) which I really like on a winter coat because it makes it fall well behind without wrinkling around booty when you wear chunky layers. Iit also fits longer in the sleeves witch is also my preference.
Unlike many winter coats that are open in front - this one you can actually wear buttoned up all the way in case it is really cold. Roomy fit fits great over boobs when buttoned up even with chunkier knit on without wrinkling anywhere.
However, it did come stained and with a heavy perfume on it! It seems someone wore it for a while since perfume got deep into it. Two staines are small but visible which is absolutely unacceptable ! They should sell this as already used and for half a price and then maybe it would be ok - but not as new ! When I showed stains to my husband who usually does no really see those kinds of things he noticed them right away and adde d "it also looks worn out ... good coat material should not look that way even years after". And he is right. Material seems to wear out quickly ... or maybe that person who stained the coat tried to clean the stains so it is worn out on that spot. All in all this is not acceptable I feel like I bought something second handed (the perfume, the stain and all ). Really disappointing.
I've been on the hunt for a long wool coat for 2 years and I think this is the one. The key detail is no shoulder seam, which makes this coat look effortless (seamed shoulders always look too broad and bulky; overly masculine for my frame). This coat runs large. I'm 5'1", 147lbs and the size small short is still a roomy fit with a big sweater underneath. Length hits about mid/upper shin. It's heavy and soft, but does not look sloppy. I only wish this style was available with a single button or single row of buttons, the double breasted style is warmer, but its less flattering on me.
I have a slouch coat that was purchased a few years back and the fit is just not the same anymore with the new version. My slouch coat from a few years back is a size small. When I purchased the medium recently, the arms were sooo tight and did not have the same “oversized” and relaxed feel as the old slouch coat. The older version is the perfect oversized fit, even in a small. Strange how the medium is now smaller than the previous version. Very unfortunate as the older version is my favourite wool coat and fits perfectly oversized!
It’s warm and I love the slouch fitting. I’m usually between S or M, but ended to get the XXS in regular length. I wanted to have the under knee length and dropped shoulder and this was the one. Even with the xxs, I still have rooms to wear thick sweaters for arm area.
Love this coat! I’m about 5’1”, 100lbs and I got a size XXS in the short length. It’s quite roomy but doesn’t overwhelm my frame. This is a classic black coat that is well worth the investment.
Love this coat! Can be dressed up or worn casually. I ordered xs tall even though I’m 5’3’ to get the oversized long fit. It’s perfect! Cocoa sand colour is gorgeous!
I absolutely love this coat! Core item to have in your wardrobe. It’s very versatile so you can wear it formally and casually. It’s very comfortable as well. A classic “oversized” coat that you don’t get lost in. 10/10 can’t wait to get more colours! I usually wear a small or medium in some items but I got an XS in the coat. I feel that the length is really nice as well, not too long but not cropped either
I actually love the fit of slouch coat and I think that it that it has the best “oversized” fit for all Aritzia coats. I bought a lot of wool coats and slouch was the best for me. It has been my go-to coat whether it’s just casual or out for an event. I have an inverted triangle body type and quite have some weight on me plus I’m short so it’s so hard to find “oversized” fit that wont look weird or bad on me. I have S regular from 2023 and sooo love it. Indecided to size up so I recently bought the the 2024 version M regular and the fit on the arms felt like as of the stedman 🙁 overall doesn’ have that “slouch” anymore. So funny that my S feels roomier than M.
