the melina™ slim pant

You can dress up or dress down with these pants. I purchased size 4 and it is true to size. I am 5’0 and 105 lb.

I took my normal size 8 and they fit perfectly, if a tiny bit snug (but I think they will give with a little wear). Some people recommended sizing up, but I can’t imagine doing that. It would have been way too loose in the waist. Go with your regular size. For tall girls like me (5’10) it hit at ankle, so a little cropped. But not too cropped that I look like I’m going clamming in the ocean. Got them on sale 50% off which is even better!

The size was right, but the fit is just terrible. Not flattering at all, and the vegan leather from Aritzia seems to be getting thinner (and cheaper) and feels like it would stretch out and ultimately lose its shape. Not that it has much shape or structure to begin with. I am very disappointed with the direction Aritzia has been going in. I expect high quality for Aritzia prices, not Zara quality for Aritzia prices.

The fit was perfection I'm 5'1 110lbs the slim fits my body amazing difenatly recommend if your going for a slick look .

I thought the Melina Slim would just be a slightly tighter version of the original Melina but they are significantly tighter and also shorter in length…. They still look alright but would be better if longer

the fabric was nice but the cut of the pant just didn’t work for me - while I am a fairly slim person - the waist was too tight for my postpartum stomach area. I’m usually a size 4-6 and the pants fit great in hips and thigh but way too tight in the waist - I tried sizes 6 and 8 and no luck.

These pants look great on some people, but they kind of made my legs look like a black leather sausage casing. I'm on the fairly shorter side so it just didn't suit me well.

If you're the lucky few they do look good on, they're incredibly comfy. I do worry about these jeans stretching around the knees though.

The green ones are on sale for ridiculously cheap and they look waaaay better in person than in the photos. Almost have a vintage look to them, get loads of compliments on them! Definitely noticing the sizing in all the Melina line is smaller than usual for Aritzia. I am normally a size 4 and had to swap out for a size 6 on these and they fit perfectly. Love love love!

If you have thicker thighs size up , i bought them on sale for 44$ but wouldn’t buy them full price.

These are some of the best pants I’ve purchased from Aritzia. Very comfortable and flattering. They do run a little small so if you’re in between sizes I’d size up.

For me, these fit about a size smaller than the Effortless pant (I bought a 12 in the Melinas, and wear a 10 in the Effortless). Overall, they fit really nicely, but I've noticed that the right half of the Melinas (in both the slim and regular cuts) are somehow tighter than the left half -- I don't have a weirdly assymetrical butt so I'm not sure what that's about! It's not noticeable to look at them, but just feels bit weird at first. They have a bit of give after the first wear, and the waist certainly starts to gape a bit, but I think that's mostly due to my body shape. Overall, I'm really happy to have a pair of slim black "leather" pants that are nicely high-waisted and can do the casual --> dressy thing super easily.

I bought the same size as my regular melina pants, but these fit probably an entire size smaller. Luckily I was going for the more fitted look, so they're fine. Great for a night out, can be dressed up or down. Love them!

Great fit! It is truly a skinny and not a legging. Note that they run small. I am always a size 2 in all Aritzia pants. I am a 2 in the regular Melinas as well as in the Charms and in the Rebels. I had to go up to a size 4 in these. The red is a great colour and the price was right! For reference, I’m 118lbs and I’m 5’5”.

Great slim fit with lots of stretch

I wanted to love these so much, but they just didn't fit me right in the right places. I love the look of this version of The Melina Pant because I have skinnier ankles, and the straight leg with wider hips and thighs doesn't make me feel comfortable either.
I don't think I'll ever be able to pull off the vegan leather look, unfortunately. :/

Awkwardly short, and run much tighter than my other melinas

I initially ordered a 6, and the waist was TINY but the legs were wider than I thought they would be. Exchanged for an 8 and the waist measurement/fit seemed to not change much, still very tight, but the legs were big and baggy, not slim at all. Unfortunately returned.

Love love love these!! I have struggled to find a pair of leather pants that looked good on my body type (I have no hips) and these look great.

These are not a slim fit they are skinny leather pants

Loved it until I wore it for a few hours. The pants stretched out 2 sizes. These are now my “baggy pants”.

So glad they made a skinny! I ordered a 14 (regular size). The back gapped and legs weren’t as tight as I wanted. I returned the 14 and got the 12. The 12 were a little tight at first after 5 minutes they became perfect (they stretch). I do wish they were cropped though I’m 5’6 ish and the length is a little bunchy at the ankle.

Fits larger than all other aritzia pants even the classic Melina pants. Recommend you size down.

I have given up on high waisted pants. I ordered the Melina Slim in rich mocha brown. Although the name tag on the pants says ‘Skinny’, they are named ‘Slim’ on the website. When I tried sitting in them, they cinched at my waist and I can’t sit. Maybe a size 3 would have been better but they don’t come in that size. Also, the ones I ordered bunch up at the bottom whereas the ones I tried in store don’t and have a more tapered look which I prefer. Also, I wish the colour was more of a rich chocolate brown and not have gray undertones. I am returning them as they aren’t flattering. I Maybe the low rise slim ones will be better for me. Although I am of a slim build, they were still uncomfortable at the waist. Melina pants definitely aren’t for people with more curves and are on the bigger side.

Im 5'5 150 pounds and ordered the size 8 -- they were super tight to zip up i could barely breath but walking around they stretched out in about 2 wears and i am happy i did not size up (i also prefer tighter fit) before these i always bought the charm pant because i do not like melina straight leg (they are too wide for me personally) -- but the charm fit more like an ankle pant on me and these are a bit longer! Love love love that they finally have a slim version! I would recommend getting slightly tight if you prefer the tight fit otherwise size up!

Does not fit curve bodies

Fit is the reason why I’m returning this pants, waist and length was good 👍🏼, but the lower butt area is not flattering at all, it was not only tight it doesn’t give you a nice shape. Flattens you 😕

Love these Melina’s! I’ve tried to regular ones on before but I just don’t love straight leg pants on myself and so these tapered ones were perfect! I’m 5”5 140lbs 27” waist, 38” hips and got a size 6. I’m very athletic so the thighs are a tad snug and the waist is a bit loose but that happens with a lot of pants for me. Overall very happy and they are so soft!!
