The '90s loose short
Inspired by the zeitgeist of ‘90s grunge, The Joni has a super high waist and a loose leg — much like its taller twin, The Joni Loose jean. They’re slouchy, relaxed and down to hang whenever and always, thanks to premium 100% organic cotton denim from Italy. This version has a longer inseam and a raw hem. It comes in a medium light indigo wash.

Fits small
I got the black hemmed and light blue raw edge versions for a trip to Mexico a year ago. I already own two pairs of Denim Forum jeans, they're my most comfortable, flattering jean, so I assumed the shorts would be the same. I bought the size recommended for my proportions at the time (31) and found them to be quite snug. They gapped at the waist though, so I figured they'd stretch a little with some wear, but I was so wrong. I couldn't really wear them. The waist digs in creating muffin top and the thighs are uncomfortable. I've lost weight since last year and they're STILL too snug in the tummy with plenty of room at the back, but no muffin top. HOW SWAY?? Please have another look at the design to try to improve the fit!

Worst shorts
“Loose long” these shorts get tighter as they get longer, it should be the other way around. They look so weird, it’s like cutting skinny jeans into shorts. The waist is to big and the bottom of the leg is to tight. I’m going to have to cut these shorts if I ever want to wear them. So disappointed. Do not buy!!

honestly they fit weird
these shorts are honestly awful and I do not recommend them. I have a pair of jeans from denim forum and am absolutely obsessed that's why I was inclined to buy these... and I am sad to say they do not match in sizing at all... and I'm an average sized girl and they are so tight on my quads its uncomfortable, as well the gapping in the back is a ridiculous amount VS. my jeans which fit perfectly.... make it make sense.

Sized down, but flattened my butt out
Loved these on a co-worker, so I bought them. I usually wear a 26, but I wanted a tighter fit. They flattened my butt out so bad! They were a super cute fit overall. But they’re made to fit loose, so just order them in your usual size!

tight thighs
I got the hemmed version, not the raw edge version, and the thighs are pretty tight. The waist fits fine, but I find the hem on the thigh digs in when I sit down. Otherwise, they're great shorts and the perfect length for me. I'm 5'10" and a size 8-10 and I got a 29
