the jane ribbed tank

A couple years ago I bought a green and black Jane ribbed tank from Aritzia. I loved them both - thick material, nice fit. So, I bought one in white. When it was delivered, it was not at all the same tank - super thin, like paper thin, see-through, different straps. Unfortunately it was final sale and the customer associate I spoke with didn’t believe me that the tank had completely changed. I ordered one in another color thinking maybe the white is just a one-off, but nope! Beware if you’ve previously bought these; they’re an entirely different tank, fabric and feel now.

Love these tanks. So soft & nice fit. Bought them in 3 colors.

Super disappointed in the weird fit and cheap material. Do not recommend. I usually wear XS at Aritzia but this XS was too tight under my arms and it rides up to your neck. And the material is transparent despite ordering in pink.

I have these tanks in a couple of colours from last year in size small; they were a little loose. I purchased the pink and the white one yesterday, size xs because of my previous ones being loose.
I’m not sure wtf happened when they transitioned to a remake, but this is garbage. These tanks are super thin and see through. Not at all like the original ones.
If they weren’t final sale I’d be taking them back asap. Now I’m stuck with arm warmers. Wayyyy too small.

Old ones, size down. New ones, size up 2X. Sooo disappointed.

High quality but the arm holes are a little small if you have toned arms/chest.

The ribbed feel adds to the feel of this tank top, I got it in sage and love it.

Love the colour but the fabric/fit isn't great. Even putting the top on stretches it so it ends up being super unfitted and unflattering. I got an XS and I think and XXS would even be too big.

Cute tank - not too long or too short and the material is nice and soft.

The fabric was stiff and it stretched out after one wear.

I do quite like this tank top a lot. It's flattering and it's not cropped! The downside is it's a bit tricky to find a bra that works with it (I think other commenters have pointed that out). But if you wearing it as a layering tank, it's perfect.

Very cute cut and comfy. Hits above my hip bones. The main downsides are that finding a bra to fit underneath is difficult due to the cut, and the mauve I purchased states it cannot be spot-cleaned, which is very inconvenient for any piece of clothing.

fits perfect- not as tight as I anticipated, but not loose either.

After few washes, the neck lines start to get wrinkle all over. I got it in green. Very cute. Just too bad it didn’t last that long.

Would recommend. Good fit.

This is on the small side. I got large and it is too tight for my liking. Gave it to my neighbor. High quality, though.

Great length not long but not crop.

It is such a perfect tank! Looks and feels really high quality. If you're debating on buying it, do it! I usually wear XS/XXS so I bought two tanks, one XS and one XXS. They both fit really well! Definitely want to buy more in different colours.

This cami is cute but in the picture it doesn’t look cropped- but it is. It’s also too open on the sides :(

love this simple little top. it’s great for layering but is also flattering on its’ own. cut is perfect as it’s not too short or too long, i’m 5’-4” and it is just long enough for a half tuck into high waisted jeans.

The material was nice but the strap length is so weird, and same with the arm opening. It is very wide and unflattering, also wouldn’t know what bra to use with it, even going braless made it look weird.

Absolutely love this tank. You can dress it up or down. The fit is great. I am normally a XS/S in aritzia tops and this XS fits great.

I am not sure if the white tank was labelled incorrectly but the cut of the white tank was much different than the grey version. I kept the grey one and sent the white back. Grey had thicker straps and a more square neckline. White had thinner straps and more of a U-shape neckline.

Nice, fitted and ribbed. Also nice as it’s a thicker material. Extremely soft and comfortable

Nice, thick, natural feeling cotton with a bit of stretch.

Fit is good, stretches out a little. Will prob buy in all colours

Super thick. material and is very comfy. The black version is not see through at all, the white is slightly see through. The only complaint I have is that the style of the tank top is not the same as pictured. The straps at the front don't create much of a smooth curve as pictured, it is rather more harsh and forms straighter lines (if that makes sense). If you don't mind the different look then this is a great tank top!

Love the cut of this tank. More style to it than a basic tank. The material is thick enough so it’s not see through. All in all a good purchase!

Gets loose after 2 or 3 wears but bounces back after a wash.

Great fit and quality, only issue is the white fabric is see through, and it’s hard to find a bra you can wear with the fit. I’d recommend ordering it in black!
