the effortless short™ linen mid-thigh

Sooo tight and the inseam was way too short. The same size effortless shorts fit me in a different material so this was a disappointment

I like the fabric, it’s perfect for the summer. Looking at the comments from other others, I ordered 2 sizes up, I am a usually a size 2 but I ordered a 6, it is somewhat loose but it allows me to tuck in my shirt for work.

I love this shorts so much, the linen is super breathable and specially for the heat in summer. I could wear this shorts all day long on sunny days.

Definitely size down one. I am a 4 in effortless pants but a 6 in the shorts. Super comfy and chic.

Runs too small... Small meaning I fit a 6 in Conan and other pants and smalls in others but these, like the other linen shorts are 2 sizes too small. So as the other reviewers noted, go up. TRUST them... I should have listened and not bothered! :)

I ordered my usual size 8, which I have in the effortless pants and they fit perfect. I was able to ge the shorts to button up but the waist is just too tight. The shorts first perfectly otherwise, but I wouldn’t be able to sit or be comfortable because of the waist

I recommend sizing up 2-3 sizes up (if you are not a skinny female aka have NORMAL curves).

I am normally a size 2 or 4 in my effortless pants, in other clothing I am a small. I ordered the effortless shorts (linen) at first the 4 did not fit me (now I’m stuck keeping them because their return policy sucks - tags are still on them. Then ordered a size 6, thinking these will be fine - NOPE. I’ve just given up at this point because it feels that artizia can not get their sizing right. Truly makes me never want to shop here again. Your sizing should be the same across the board, and true to size.

If I could give the rating a zero I would.

fits smaller comparatively

I'm usually a 6 at Aritzia but per the reviews ordered a size up (8). Still uncomfortable...Way too tight in the crotch area. Generously gave it 2 stars because the fabric is nice and colour is beautiful, but terrible fit.

Great concept by the Aritzia design team, but DEFINITELY runs small. For reference, I always wear a size 6 (I am 5'6" and weigh 130 lbs), but in these, I had to size up to a 10!!! Not happy about that at all (please make the sizes more for 'real women') but I do like the style and the length.

Love the look of these but they are seriously so small, I recommend sizing up two sizes. I'm a 6 in the regular fabric effortless pants, tried the 8 and they were still too tight. The fabric was tight on my butt which caused the pleats in the front to not lay properly, creating a bulging effect in the front when I moved around. Will be returning.

These run slight small because the waist is snug/narrow but these really are a beautiful pair of shorts

Had to size up and still tight on the thighs.
Loose on the waist unfortunately. Wish they fit well the quality seems great.

Love these shorts! The material is great and does not wrinkle, the 5" is perfect for me being 5ft. I had to size up - I usually wear a 0 but 2 fit better. It is a classic look which I love - tailored but relaxed. It is high waisted which I also love so I can wear some of my cropped tops. It can either be casual or dressed up depending on the top.

5” length great for golfing standard. Linen so it’s breathable. sized up because it’s high rise and my body type (apple shaped).

Love the high waisted shorts and the length. I love how the material falls on my legs; loose fitting with a nice little flair. I love the belt but can remove it and change it to dress it down. Lots of compliments!

I found these were quite short on me and im 5’3. Was expecting to be a little longer and appropriate for work, however this is not the case.

Perfect summer shorts. Was worried they’d be see through but they aren’t!

I'm 5"2" in height and I should say the 5" effortless linen shorts is the right length for me. I tried the 3" but I think it's too short. Someone younger can pull it off. If you want to be able to wear this shorts to work I suggest getting the 5". Not too short, not too long.

HUGE FAN of any effortless item! The shorts are really cute, I'm petite so I went for the 5'

I am 5'10" and these bunched weird in the triangle region. Like the gusset area wasn't long enough so it was pulling? Idk but was just not a good fit however the waist and length was fine but the bunching part was a no.

Classic short in effortless style. Great for work.

When I tried on the white ones they were too opaque you could see my underwear clearly. Went for a darker colour and love them.

Shorts are great quality and well made. The fit was great and while the pleats are fashionable they don’t work for me. Found them unflattering.
