It fits perfectly and it’s warm! The only thing is that the top of the coat does have a chance of getting makeup on it just because it’s high on your neck but you can fold it down like other traditional coats.
I would say this coat fits true to size. It is stylish, and collar can be worn buttoned or unbuttoned, and both options are chic. It is a good length and I am petite at 5'3. It is not too long. I like the rich camel colour. Well made. The coat looks and feels high quality.
I felt the material in the coat was thinner and not as good of quality as what Aritzia wool coats once were. The sleeves were a little too wide. I should have purchased a small.
I liked the heavier, more sturdy-feeling material of this coat compared to some of the other wool coats. But the details overall were too fussy for me -- the collar isn't flattering for someone with a shorter neck, the fit was very tight for a coat, and the belt did nothing for me. I returned this one in favor of the Cocoon coat.
This is the first time I have ever purchased a wool coat from Aritzia, and I am truly glad that I did! I have been searching, high and low, for a funnel neck wool coat that extends all the way right to my knees, and I was only able to come across this one during my search. The inner lining is extremely well made, and the outer body of the coat looks and feels similar to a high-end, luxury branded item. It came in a nifty package smelling like freesias— just like how I remember the store smelling like once upon a time 10 years ago when I was still living in Canada! Although the website says that they are unable to issue exchanges online, they still issued an exchange for me from a M to a S for the same discounted price I got the M for. I overestimated my size for a 5 ft. 3.25 woman who weighs 129 lbs., but the S fits beautifully, and the coat sits right on top well even while I am driving. Well-worth the $300 splurge!
Sizing of the cost is perfect. My only complaint is that the sleeves are way too long for a petite person. I will have to get them hemmed. Other than that the coat is 10/10
While the overall colour design and style of the jacket is nice, I would prefer an oversized fit for women’s hips and this jacket buttoned up on the top, but not on the bottom
Poor quality of fabric and stitching for such an expensive coat. Sizing is off. I got a small but it runs bulky on the shoulders and arms and doesn’t look flattering at all. I will be returning this but they only offer an Aritzia card for returning items on sale. So I guess I have no choice but to try another coat from Aritzia. Hopefully I can find something that’s worth the money.
First…. I was sent the wrong colour of jacket. Secondly the jacket doesn’t feel the best? The inside is silk soft but I have cheaper jackets that feel and look better. And third! I made the mistake of washing this jacket on delicates then hung to dry and it absolutely destroyed this jacket. It’s unwearable. So be warned that if you do buy this jacket it CANNOT be washed even in the most gentle cycle. Hopefully you live somewhere that does dry cleaning if you buy this jacket. Highly disappointed.
Why does the us site have the much nicer version with the detailed collar? I have this one from a few years ago and wanted to replace but the collar on the coat on the canadian website and in store is not nearly as nice:(
Didn’t fit as slim as expected - Should’ve gone with usual size. Love it but regret getting black… it always looks dirty because of the fuzz and lint and blonde hairs that get stuck to it!
I bought the long version last year. The quality is so much better compared to the ones from this year. I’m not sure why they changed it! The fabric looks and feels cheap, the lining is not great, and the tie belt and shoulder pads look so sloppy. Disappointing
The design is a little different than the one I bought last year. The botton at the neck is not as easy button due to the buttonhole. It also feels a bit lighter in weight than the previous jacket.
This coat is definitely something you should try on before buying. I'm about 5'3 and 127 lb. I priginally wanted the long version but it came up to my ankles almost which was so weird! I can fit between xs and small for the costs overall and was switching between this and the cocoon, in which a small was perfect on me. In this I went with a small, only because the shoulders would stick out if I chose a medium. It's slightly tight on the chest and centre of my stomach when closed, but I just loved how it looked enough to look past all of this.
I have an xs in the puffer coat but the xs in this coat is too small on the bust but perfect everywhere else. The sleeves are too baggy in the small. The small looks too big everywhere else. So sad because the quality of the coat is amazing!
The coat looks and feels high quality, with no fraying threads or issues with the wool, and the buttons solidly attached. The fit is a little off if you have curves - I ordered size small, I’m 5’4, 130 lbs, 34C. For comparison I wear a XS in the super puff long and that’s a roomy fit, I could have gone for the XXS. The Connor is snug across my bust but the sleeves are loose and the shoulders are almost too broad, so I wouldn’t want to size up. I appreciate the inner buttons to help keep the coat closed but if you have boobs and a butt, a button or two are liable to undo while you walk. The pockets are good although the liner fabric feels thin which makes me worried my keys could make a hole in my pocket. However overall I’m happy and decided to keep my coat. I really like the high neck and classic cut and I expect to keep this coat in my closet for a long time.
Wanted to love this coat but the sizing is so weird and the sleeves were so so long. I’m 5’1 and ordered a size small. It was swimming on me everywhere, but when tied together the bust was quite tight. Sent it back and ordered an XS in hopes the sizing is better on me.(and hopefully not too tight in the shoulders) If not I will return and not order again. Really want to love this jacket. Makes you look put together and the quality is amazing.
I got xxs and I'm 5ft. Just like other reviews, sleeves are longer compare to my other coats. And the breast part is slightly tight but since it's a belt style coat it doesn't bother me. Good for beginning of winter. It has great quality.
