canberra cardigan

This cardigan was given to me as a gift. I followed the instructions on how to wash it and I know for sure how to take care of wool clothes. It shrunk so much and the cardigan was so stiff and itchy after one washing and it looked like nothing like it was handed to me. I contacted the customer service and they were insisting that I should talk to my friend to get the payment information. If you’re thinking of buying expensive clothing such as wool, consider other clothing brands. I wouldn’t want to risk buying here and be disappointed considering the prices.

I received this sweater as a gift. I love the look and it is extremely comfortable. I am not giving it 5 stars because I had washed the sweater in the washing machine one time on cold and a delicate cycle. Afterwards it was hung to dry. The sweater shrunk soooo much and the quality of the sweater looks awful. I was not aware this was a hand wash only. I am so disappointed and I cannot wear it.

Shrunk very very badly although I washed it with cold water and proper wool washing detergent like my other cashmere or Marino wool sweater…

The length and material is perfect! I’m about 5’5 and 125lb, and ordered the small for a looser fit. It sits just above the hips.

I purchased 2XS. I usually like sweaters oversized especially longer on the arms. But this cardigan fits just right. TTS

I bought in size small and it's perfectly cropped but not too short, and the sleeves still have a nice volume. V neck is not too sexy so I can wear to work. Merino wool is extremely soft. Some pilling, but that is to be expected. I love it. Would buy it in other colors.

I fall in love with this cute cardigan at first sight. It's quite roomy. You may need to size down to get the ideal fit. It's well-made with beautiful and quality yarns.

It's very soft, warm and comfortable. The length is just right.

When I received it, it already had three yarn out, and look so old.

I’ve had this cardigan for 2 weeks and probably worn it 4 times - to work, out to dinner, etc. It’s super soft and the color is very rich! The cropped length is perfect with high waisted pants. For reference, I ordered an xxs and am 5’3, 105lbs.

This is a beautiful sweater that I can’t wait to wear with high waisted jeans. It’s a bit of a cropped hem but the sleeves are normal length. I purchased my usual size and the fit is good without being too cropped. However, I do wear only high waisted jeans so I’m not sure how this might look with lower or standard waisted jeans, just to keep in mind! So soft and cozy.

I was weary of purchasing this as I usually fight merino scratchy and tend to like my sweaters tighter. But, the material is very soft on my sensitive skin (I can't tell it's merino), and the cut is very flattering. It's not too baggy. The top is cropped, so looks very nice with high waisted jeans and does not show my navel. The cut is low, but it looks nice with a sports bra, bralette, or tank. I'm usually a small in Aritzia clothing and purchased this in a small. No regrets!

Really soft, cozy material. Very warm. Got it in the birch, loved the color. HOWEVER, there's something about the fit that I didn't love. I got size S as usual and the back sagged slightly in a way that felt a little ill-fitted. Sizing up would've made it worse, and down might've made it too form fitted for my liking, so not sure about what that was. That being said, it didn't bother me enough not to like it and wear it.

The reason for 3 stars is that it is extremely difficult to wash. The label says hand wash in cold water and lay to dry, which I did but it just pretty much messed up the material irreversibly anyway. It also does not feel clean to dampen the sweater slightly and watch the material get screwed up. I then tried to wash it in the washer on cold on "hand wash" setting, which is like 15 minutes and really delicate on other clothes I have that say hand wash, but I guess fully covering it in water really ruins it because when I lay it to dry, the wool was entirely balled up and shrunk like you wouldn't believe. Obviously unwearable as it looks like a ratty dog sweater now lol.

Overall, it's nice but still overpriced and never wash it even by hand. Be prepared to bring this item to the dry cleaners whenever you want it cleaned. Too much work, time and money in my opinion.

This is just a classic, easy piece. I wear it with my high waisted pants and I’m sure it would look great with skirts too. I went with my regular size and wasn’t disappointed!

Like this cardigan. Fits a little larger but still looks good. Nice color ( I've bought dream blue). Very soft to touch. Overall - good.

I like this cardigan. It's not exceptional and thus not one of my favourite sweaters, but it is cute, decently warm and fairly versatile. It's slightly big in the chest on me (I ordered my usual XXS), so I can't wear it without my under shirt showing quite a bit unlike on the models who appear to have nothing underneath.

I got a size small & it fits so well—the perfect just barely oversized. I love it

Nothing special. Looks really worn after just a day of use. You can get the same or better quality sweater for a third of the price.

It's just perfect. Lenght-wise, fit-wise. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE : Make an identical version made of 100% cotton (just, make it a little thiner) for summer season? =D

I have three colours in the new plunge front cardigan from Wilfred and this is my first time getting the Canberra from Wilfred. Overall the size S is quite flattering and not fitted like the size S in the new plunge front cardigan. I might have sized down to an XS but am perfectly fine with the slight oversized look of the S on me. I'm a mix between neutral and cool toned depending on the season, but overall the camel is a nice colour, and pairs well with my Agolde jeans in black tea and photogram (both shades of faded black).

Personal measurements: 88.5cm bust, 74cm underbust, 69cm waist, 102cm hip, 28cm arm circumference/ each, 41cm shoulder (flat), 173cm/63kg

Shrunken badly - bad pruchase

I typically wear a size XS or S in Aritzia clothing depending on the fit. Unfortunately my size in the beautiful copper colour was sold out however, XXS was available in store. I tried it on and it actually fits very well. I know this sweater is supposed to be oversized, however if you need to size down, it fits comfortably. The sleeves are a perfect length and the sweater isn't too short. Definitely cropped, but not too short. Bottom line is, this sweater is warm and comfortable and if we share similar dimensions, then you can get away with a XXS.

style is great and love the versatility of wearing it done up or open ...only thing negative is it pills a bit so I have to pull the balls off around the armpits and arms.

I got it in Heather Birch and I am so happy with this piece! Easy to style casual or more formal. It's super comfy and warm. My only complaint is it pills very easily.

Super cute, soft, and warm cardigan. Sizing is a little weird because the arms fit slightly oversized so I sized down to a S and the arms fit perfect, however it is a little short in length (hits 1-2 inches below the belly button). My chest is 35.5", waist 29", and weigh 140 lbs.

I love Aritzia knits! This sweater is really cute - I got it in Rich Copper.

However, this is more cropped than I realized - even with high waisted bottoms, it feels a little shorter than I prefer. I would have sized up if I could do it all over again. For context, I am about 5'8" and 135 lb and I usually get an XS at Aritzia since sweaters stretch. That said, it's still a high quality, warm and stylish sweater that I can wear for years.

Very comfortable and cute sweater. It's also quite warm. It is shorter than I expected and the sleeves a bit larger than I had hoped for, however.

This is a great everyday sweater. Great quality and keeps me warm. Looks nice with jeans or can be dressed up. I definitely would recommend it

Fits true to size and goes with everything!

This cardigan is so flattering when wearing high waisted whatever you want (pants/jeans/trousers). It’s also incredibly soft. This was my first purchase ever from Aritzia and it did not disappoint!

Such a good staple. Fits so nice. The V is high enough that you don’t need to wear anything under it and it’s slightly cropped but not too much so it looks great with high waisted pants and jeans. Really love it.

I was worried about this sweater since some wool fabrics tends to be itchy but this is so soft, comfy and surprisingly warm too! Perfect for fall! I’m 5’4” 118 lbs, 34A and bought a XS. Fits me like the model.

This Cardigan is amazing. It is of course on the pricey side but its super super soft and can be paired with a turtleneck underneath to add warmth in the fall I'm usually a L or XL but in this I decided to go with a M as I didn’t want an oversize look and like my sweaters to not fit super jiggly in the arms.
I would love to get more colours in this sweater for spring!!! :)

I normally wear size XS and it fits true to size. It's slightly bit shorter than I would have liked but at least it's not crop-length, which still works for me. The sleeves are just the right length as well.Overall, it is very comfy and I would definitely recommend.

Not my favorite cut or color. I got it in a light grey color. I think for the price you can find more unique sweaters that feel less trendy.

Colour was way off in my opinion.

This sweater is super cozy, yet still compliments a slimmer fit look. The length is perfect.

I bought the black, it is very versatile.

I’ve exchanged for a smaller size. The arms were huge and the upper part of the sweater adds a lot of bulk. Hoping a small will work better because I love the material and style of the sweater. Just the recommended size was too big in the end.

A perfect stylish, warm and cozy sweater to go with anything!

The shoulders were huge! and the way they were dropped was not flattering on me. I looked like a football player. I am petite - 5'2" and 110 pounds and this was very unflattering on me. Also, I got the copper color and from the photos I thought it would be a warm rust. It is more burgundy/cool maroon. I look best in warm colors and this color was also not flattering on me.

Beautiful Cardi! very smooth material

Words cannot describe how perfectly this fits! So soft, not itchy at all and quite warm. The scarab colour is beautiful. I found the XS was perfect (I'm 5'3" or a bit taller). It was a nice cropped length, not too long but not so short where you can't raise your arms. If you're between sizes I recommend sizing up for a longer length, the size down was shorter.

Very versatile cardigan you can wear virtually all seasons!
I wore this piece with high waist Bermuda jean also with a black dress. Received many compliments..
I'm normally size 4 (5'4" 120lbs) but I got XS for this and still bit loose.
I will get more colours for sure.
