Just in stores: Jeggings!

OCTOBER 4, 2009 BY themarianista IN Raw Style

At first, we couldn't help but laugh at the word too...seriously? Jeggings? If jeans and leggings had a baby they'd make a pair of Jeggings!  But since we've tried a pair on we're in love with them.  How often do you get as comfortable a fit and fabric without compromising sexy body shaping form?  And since apparently you ladies can't get enough of them either we've brought an assortment of them in including our favorites by J Brand, and Citizens of Humanity's Super Stretch Avedons! Their exclusive Super Stretch fabric won't sag, bunch or stretch on you! (top and right photos).

I just bought two of these and I am SO in love with them, but I'm hoping somebody can help and this is the only link I see with anybody is talking about them - I went down TWO sizes (28 now, at my skinniest is 27 but I bought a 26) and they fit beautifully, until I washed one of them ... and now the legs are all saggy and bunchy and nowhere near as comfy when I first got them (they feel very jean-y now). Should I throw it in the dryer as well to make it "shrink" back to being fitted and maybe be more comfy? I haven't washed my other pair yet so hope to get some advice!

Glad you are loving the jeggings, we love them too!

The best way to wash denim is inside out, on a delicate cycle with cold water.  We wouldn't recommend throwing your jeans in the dryer - it is always best to hang them to dry!  That said, denim can feel a little stiff after being hung.  This goes away after wearing them for a bit once they're dry.  Another little hint...you probably don't need to wash your denim as much as you think you do ;)

Depending on the brand, denim can fit very differently, which could explain why you went down a couple of sizes (and who doesn't love that?!?).  Denim usually does tend to give a little through wear - the amount of give depends on the brand.

When in doubt, ask your Sales Associate how much the denim is going to stretch after wearing.  The jeggings in store right now tend to stretch, on average, 1/2 a size after purchase.

Hi Jegging fans I need your help! I just bought a pair from Aritizia and the sales assistant (who I have to say was wonderfuly helpful and patient!) insisted I get a size smaller than I felt comfortable in. They are super super tight! I really need to know how much they will stretch out once they are worn for a day or two. Right now they are quite uncomfortably tight and i'm tempted to go get the bigger size. Cheers

I would say that, on average, our jeggings usually stretch out about a 1/2 size.  Jeggings are meant to fit TIGHT, but you don't want them so tight that you feel uncomfortable.  If the tags are still on and you have your receipt, it might be worth going in and trying the next size up just to be sure.

These jeggings are really cute . they would probably look really great with uggs and leg warmers or plaid shirts. I just have question ; how much do the jeggings cost ? I can't wait to buy them . ( :

I bought these a couple days ago and they are super comfortable and I love that they are so fitted! What shoes is the model wearing in the bottom 3 pictures from the fall/winter show?

I love these! I have a pair and are quickly becoming my favorites! The only advice I would offer is to purchase them quite fitted, as they do tend to stretch after wearing them for a few hours. They are great with flats, boots and killer with heels. Wonderful!

Just the thought of jeggings makes me cringe... but I must say these photos make them look good. Mostly because these models are cute and have very slim legs, though.
