There are photos, which means it happened. On a moody February evening, a bunch of NYC creatives
gathered inside the Nine Orchard Hotel (fancy) for a night of looking and tasting in celebration of
Wilfred’s Spring 23 Collection.
The main attraction? People wearing Wilfred, yes, but also a bunch of custom installations created
by artist, chef and Wilfred muse Laila Gohar. Borrowing colours from the Spring 23 Collection, Laila
designed an edible art gallery and set it on a table. People enjoyed this concept — in fact, they
ate it up.

Confections included meringue tea cups, cakes baked inside eggs, four-foot long eclairs, fruit that
wasn’t actually fruit and Marie Antoinette-style cakes stacked on top of each other. Very Wilfred.
“In the most basic sense,
it's
nice
when people just feel happy when they see or experience my work,” Laila told
Aritzia. “And I'm very lucky that's often the case.”
