The Slouch™ Coat - Virgin Wool Cashmere

I would definitely recommend this coat. It's beautiful. Heavy and warm and the material is like silk. I like my clothes big so I ordered an XL but I was swimming in it. Exchanged for L and it's perfect. I am 5'8" tall and average build (160 lbs). This coat could be worn dressy or casual.

I am typically a size small in most purchases but found that this coat didn’t have the same oversize fit that I was looking for across the hips. I ordered a medium and found the fit I was looking for, except the arms where extremely long and went passed my hands. I also had issues with quality and had to contact Aritzia concierge. Beware of massive amounts of thread coming out on the seams and exposed stitching on the Cashmere melton. I have to say, I love the fabric and the look of the coast but it has not been what I would call a $500 winter coat.

I am usually a small and I got a small. It is big but I like the oversized fit. The arms are also a great length for being oversized which is why I stuck with a small. The jacket is soft and a beautiful color. I’ve had this in my cart for a while and I’m happy I finally ordered.

Okay, I adore this coat. I love the color (I got bitter brown), the material feels amazing, and on first glance, the quality blew me away.

However...within 3 wears, a hole developed in the pocket where I had my phone. This was super disappointing for a $450 coat. I have to bring it to the tailor anyway to get the sleeves shortened (I'm 5'6" for reference), so it's not that big of a deal, but that's why I'm taking a star off.

In Love with Black Slouch coat in wool cashmere melton. I have been on the hunt for staple wool coat for a long time. This one met all my requiremebt.This has the right weight and fit. Material is so soft. I would have preferred xs but it was out of stock. Size S is Little oversized but thats so much in trend now and I love the oversized look.

I really like the colour dark grey that I got this coat in, but overall, it was too big and too heavy on me. I’m 5’2 and it hits down to my ankles. It’s very weighty, which might help protect from the cold (haven’t tested it) but it’s so heavy that it strains my shoulders and neck. A coat shouldn’t cause you neck and shoulder pain. What finally helped me decide whether to keep it or not was when I finally noticed the multiple areas of loose and untidy seams, and realized the buttons are sewn on quite loosely. I will try to exchange this coat for something else. Too bad because I love the colour!

I usually wear a medium but got a small. This wool/cashmere blend is the best out of the slouch composition, great quality

I purchased the black slouch and was excited to wear it for the winter.
It does not old up to its described -20. I wouldn’t wear it below 0 degrees if I wanted to stay warm.
I unfortunately had horrible luck with the quality of this coat - loose thread on button holes, loose lining - I was offered a refund and I will be taking it. Not worth anything close to $450

This coat is beautifully crafted with a gorgeous seam detail. The fit is perfectly oversized for a classic fit and allows for layering. The coat has held up in -25* weather with only a cashmere sweater and scarf on underneath. The classic grey is a rich deep grey that I was pleasantly surprised by (I had initially hoped for the butter brown). This will be a staple for years to come!

After endlessly searching for a wool coat I settled on the Melton Wool Cashmere Slouch. The coat is structured but not too stiff. It's weighty and feels good quality. It is slightly oversized - roomy enough for a thick sweater or even a light down jacket/vest underneath on really cold days. I probably could've fit XS but I'm happy with the S.

Coat was so pretty and high quality especially in the bitter brown color. But being 5’1 it was just way to huge in shoulder width and general sizing even in the 2XS. Would be perfect if they made it in a petite version!

Such a timeless classic coat. I feel like I could have gone two sizes down if I wanted to. Cool chic oversized look. I was skeptical whether if it would actually be warm or not but such a warm coat. Definitely opt for this version as it is 90/10 wool/cashmere. Great purchase, wish I can buy in other colours.

Was trying to decide between The Only Coat and the Slouch. When I was looking online I thought the Only was the one but after trying on in person the Slouch was the clear winner. I love it!

I've been looking for a dark brown coat for a while and Aritzia did it for me! I love the color (bitter brown), the fit, and overall texture of the coat. At first it feels overweight but as your body adjusts and loosens it if you will, it becomes more comfortable and doesn't feel stiff. I got an XS (I'm between sizes xs/small), and it is still oversized, but for me it is simply perfect, especially the sleeves. Overall, this coat is a win-win for me!

I'm 5'1'' and 50kg (155cm, 110 lbs) and bought the dark grey one in 2XS. It is still a relaxed fit, but not overwhelming. The sleeves are a little bit long, but acceptable. While the length hits my lower calf, it does not look sloppy at all. The fabric is of good quality. Overall satisfied with my purchase.

Needed a nice black coat and this is perfect. You can easily dress it up or down. I spent a while trying to decide between the camel version or this one and I’m glad I went with the wool cashmere. It’s warm enough for most days and has a good weight to it.

I was looking for the perfect oversized wool coat, and this was it! I was tempted to size down based on reviews, but I went with my true size and am glad I did. It fits slightly oversized, but I don’t find it overwhelming. I tried on a size smaller (XS) and found that although it fit well, it didn’t have the oversized look I wanted. Very happy with my purchase!

Has an oversized fit. The wool cashmere blend is definitely worth it. No issues so far. Very warm and makes any outfit feel elevated.

I prefer my trenches super oversized where it almost swallows me (like how Kendall Jenner's trench coats fit her). I'm 5'5", 115 lbs, and typically wear an XS but ordered a small. Based on the other reviews I was expecting the size small to fit way bigger but I honestly could have even gone with a medium. The coat is great quality, it's pretty stiff at first but hopefully will soften.

I sized down because I’m petite and curvy and the small was overwhelming me. Unfortunately it pulls a cross my hips a little when I close it fully but I can get that fixed. I really very happy with my purchase and it’s a very versatile coat that can be dressed up or down

This coat is amazing. I got mine in bitter brown colour and it looks soooo good. It's very versatile and can be worn in a formal/ casual setting. It's also has deep pockets which I can hide my hands in when I'm cold. Also, I love the slightly baggy fit! Totally worth every single penny!

This is the most gorgeous coat in the most luxurious material but a total no go for any petite girly. It runs huge. I would LOVE if aritzia came out with a short version in the wool cashmere and sized it appropriately.

I'm usually a size small but wanted a medium for that bigger oversized look (kind of like it's swallowing me). The wool-cashmere is worth getting because of the material content (90% wool and 10% cashmere, no mixed synthetics). You're getting your moneys worth with it.

I’m 5.5ft 130 lbs. Tried XS it was too big. Ordered size 2XS Still oversized but cute. Looks not cheap like other camel hairy version

I sized down and am still finding the coat a little too oversized. It’s a gorgeous coat tho and I’m going to find ways to style it that don’t make me feel like a toddler wearing an adult’s coat.

For my birthday i knew I wanted an Aritzia coat. When I walked into the store I immediately fell in love with this coat. The material is a tad firm and she explained it will soften over time. It feels luxurious!

Yes, it runs large! Size down 1-2 sizes. I am usually a Medium in oversized coats or Large in fitted coats, so when the sales rep suggested a Small for my 5'11" Athletic frame I thought she was insane. Well she wasn't. It was perfectly oversized. I can wear thick sweaters under and it fits perfectly!

Beautiful thick, heavy coat. Super warm. Also doesn’t get staticky and pick up lint or cat hair like synthetic fabrics do. Worth the $$

Would give 5 stars but coat isn’t as soft considering it’s wool and cashmere.

I am 5'4" and the XXS fits but the sleeves are too short, they stop over an inch above my hands making the coat look silly.

Got this coat in the wool cashmere blend in black. It’s such a great piece that will instantly update my entire wardrobe and stand the test of time while still feeling modern. It’s an investment piece I am happy to make as the quality of fabric and workmanship are impressive.

I stalked Aritzia for weeks trying to decide which coat to get, and in what size. Slit pockets and a drop shoulder, and mid-tone color were my must-haves. I was so excited to see the Cashmere Wool melton version of the Slouch in grey! I have to say it does run slightly large. I normally wear a S in Aritzia (5'6, 107lbs) but I sized down to an XS in this coat and I'm glad I did. I'm also glad I didn't write it off after seeing the camel version in store. That version feels cheaper and the color wasn't flattering. The cashmere-wool is MUCH better, like other reviewers said. To the earlier reviewer who said the shoulders are bulky because of the seam- I know what you mean, but it's not because of the seam. The shoulders are actually padded! You can feel the thickness. If I care enough, I might open up the lining and cut out the padding, but it doesn't bother me too much. Only other thing is it's a little itchy around the collar where there is no lining, but I find all wool to be itchy so I won't ding this coat. Love it and looking forward to wearing it when it's colder out.

This was way too big and long for me. I am 5'1 and have a small frame so this swallowed me. Please make this in a short version PLEASE, I need it lol. The quality is AMAZING.

PLEASE make a slouchy coat with a drop shoulder hem instead of the one down the arm, it would be so much more flattering!! The hem down the arm makes me look like a football player around the shoulders haha (I’m a size 26 pants/size small). And please add a back vent! It would be so much more attractive!!! I’ve been looking everywhere for a high quality camel wool coat with these features ! Also I love the new cashmere wool blend, feels so luxe!

The material is more substantial than the camel fabric. Since it is 100% wool the material is more stiff, the underarm and the upper armhole area are designed too big when I put my arms down in the natural position the extra fabric gather in the upper arm area ( you can see from the model pic) and look so bulky, awkward and unnatural.
Also the sleeve length will be too short for women over 5"8 in the size S.
If you are taller than 5"8 and need a size smaller than a small the sleeve length will be too short for you. The sleeve length in size small just reached my wrist bone. I am 5"8 for reference.
Size small is also too big for me. My waist is 28, hip 38.5

I never liked the original slouch coat material with the camel/wool blend because I feel like it looks cheap/tacky—sorry. But when I found this version, I fell in love. I bought S and M (I’m 5’5, 150lb, 32-28-40) but opted for M because it gives me the cool, oversized look I want. S fit perfect but it looked too proper for me and was a bit restricting when I raised my arms. This material is stiffer than the camel hair version so the armpit area on the back of the coat doesn’t lay flat so it kinda looks awkward but I’m willing to look past it because this coat is gorgeous!!!!

Getting the sizing right on this coat was tough! I had to order a size XS, S and M, because I wasn't sure how it translated to the 1,2 and 3 sizes which Aritzia previously used for this coat. I ended up sticking with the XS. Both the S and M were to oversized for my liking and didn't look as polished. The XS still had the oversized look but didn't swallow me.

For reference I am 5'2, 135 lb and typically a 4-6 in pants.

I received my coat today and to be honest I was skeptical because my husband had bought me a slout and it did not have the impressive quality of this new one, top quality, medium weight but looks spectacularly high class style, I certainly would not think of buying it in another color For reference, I ordered size M and my measurements are 5,11 height, 165 pounds, 36c bust, waist 42 cm and hips 62 cm.

I tried both this version and the other version (the one with less cashmere) and this one is far more substantial and thick - doesn’t feel cheap at all. Very beautiful fabric and drape. This version is worth $400 in my opinion. Fits pretty large, but maybe that’s also my height (just under 5’4). I had originally ordered a S but it was comically large and had to exchange for an XS. I usually wear a size 4-6 at Aritzia.

This coat is absolutely gorgeous and such a timeless piece. I wasn’t a fan of the camel fabric after seeing it in store (it looks like cheap felt), but this one is so much better. The fabric is a nice weight, but the coat doesn’t feel heavy on. I would call it smooth instead of soft and not itchy. I sized down and it’s still oversized. I’m generally a size 6 and the sizing guide suggested a size S or M, but I my instincts told me to go with the XS and that was the right size. I also wear an XS in the Super Puff. It is still oversized without swallowing me. The sleeves are the perfect length and I can still layer sweaters underneath. This will be my go-to “nice” coat for years to come and I love I can also wear it dressed down. Please make other styles and colors in this fabric!

I ordered the Camel Hair version and returned it because I did not think the quality was great for the price. I ended up ordering this one and the quality is exceptional. The wool and cashmere blend is much better for the same price. The Gold Camel is more of a cool tone than other coats in the colour at Aritzia that lean more yellow. It is a great colour for anyone who is fair.

My first slouch coat and I’m so in love. I’m glad that I waited for this version as the camel hair one looked cheap in my opinion. The material looks and feel smooth and doesn’t feel too heavy on my body. I’m surprised that this is the same price as the camel hair version yet this version feels so luxe. I’m petite and the hem hits my calf which is exactly what I wanted. I prefer my coats to be slight oversized and long. I went for XXS so it’s not too oversized, just the right amount.

It is not as soft and thick as the last year wool/cashmere fabric but still gorgeous. The colour is rich and of a coolish tone rather than yellow. My second the Slouch coat. The softer fabric suits this model better but 90% wool/10% cashmere still promises good quality.

and cashmere one and i wanted to get a black one but it was sold out last year and i waited this year and finally came back with upgrade version. I just got it through
mail today and omg i LOVE it!!!!!

Size medium black was HUGE! Fit like a tall man's large coat and looked like it too. I got medium because a size 2 regular length in the other (camel hair) Slouch fit so well, and was told a medium in this version would be its equivalent...but it was nat, it was giant in both width and length (I'm 145lbs and 5'8. 32i US bra and 28 waist in Levis for ref) and it was like lower shin length and the body and sleeves were massive for a medium.
