the ganna™ shirt jacket

So cozy and way warmer than I expected it to be. I'm usually a 2X and was expecting this jacket to be small fitting on me, but it wasn't at all - it has the oversized look it's supposed to.

Too bulky - not a flattering silhouette

Classic, effortless look. I loved my first ganna in heather bone so much I bought 4 more! So warm and cozy I am able to wear them all winter long. The quality of the solid color ganna is much better than the plaid.

I love the Gamma it’s so warm and cozy. My only irk is that it pulls very quickly along the arms and sides but that’s because the fabric is a natural fabric. Otherwise I love it I recommend it to everyone !

I really like this jacket. It’s warm and soft and oversized enough to wear over my sweatshirts. I purchased it in rustical brown which is a greenish/brown color in the tall length. It’s a beautiful neutral color that goes with anything. Definitely order tall if you are over 5’7. The length is generous to wear leggings. I took off 1 star because it started pulling on the arms within a minute of wearing it.

I like the slightly oversized fit so you can wear a sweater underneath if you need. It is a super soft wool fabric. I have it in 2 Colours.

Third Ganna I own and it’s perfect! I like to size down but I also have one that’s true to size. Super cozy and looks good with everything

Love style . Was hoping for it to be a little heavier/ warmer on the inside as it is quite light but otherwise fits really well .

Love that this style is just something you can throw on for errands or hanging out on a lazy weekend but makes you still look very put together. I was surprised that the arms weren't lined, but I guess that makes this jacket closer to a shirt than a jacket, and it is cozy. So glad it comes in a short version as I am 5' tall! Overall it's such a great quality and timeless piece to add to your wardrobe.

I purchased the Bancha green, it’s absolutely gorgeous! Very comfortable, warm and lightweight. Good quality fabric. The only thing I noticed that this one is smaller in size compared to my other two. It still fits me well.

Ordered online my usual size, when it came it, the fit was all off. Confirmed the shorty version was not ordered or sent to me. Needed to size up due to stock availability. Size up is a touch big, not entirely how I prefer them to fit. Must be a manufacturing issue as this is my third one.

I received my ganna today and I ran to the door so excited to wear it. I tried it on and the sleeves are sooo short. I have a previous ganna from a couple years ago in the same size and the sleeves are almost a cuff longer than the new one. What the heck? So bummed.

Its a perfect fit, high quality jacket.

It looks beautiful and the merino wool is warm and soft, but already on day one it’s beginning to pill. The fabric is thin for the price and the sleeves are awkwardly short.

Just like other reviewers, I've been discouraged from wearing this piece after wearing it twice for short periods of time there is so much pilling it looks as if this is a piece of clothing you've been wearing for months and not just two outings. I've never ever experienced something quite like this is any other piece of clothing from another retailers.

I love my long Ganna. Warm and can be worn casually or night out

I bought this same jacket last year in small, and I absolutely loved it. After putting on some COVID weight I decided to size up, and unfortunately it fits the same as my small jacket. I sized up, and it was perfect.

I really love this shacket, I wanted it for a really long time and waited until it was on sale enough to accept lol. Finally did it. It's so soft, the color is perfection (iron grey), it looks great. My only hang-up is, and this is why I deducted a star, because for a $200 garment, the finishing quality is brutal. Thank God I got it on sale, because if I'd paid full-pop and it was finished like this, I'd have been even more upset. I legit stood there for 20 minutes going through the garment with manicure scissors cutting off lose ends (threads) that should have been trimmed; you should have seen how much I took off. The stitching in a number of locations is off, even run off the garment, wrapped around the edges from front to back if that makes sense, like, the stitching/sewing quality is just terrible. I expect more from Aritzia, and especially on a garment priced at $200. I do love this piece, but that definitely took the whole experience and excitement down a notch.

I have one all ready in size small but that one is bigger.( why size is different with the same product). A good basic item to have in your closet. (Over priced) for the quality of the product.

This jacket is cute and surprisingly warm given the weave, but it pills like crazy and I don’t think the quality matches the price. I also sized down because my regular size looked too oversized on me.

This shirt jacket is amazing. I've gotten tons of compliments each time I've worn it. The material is not too thick or thin. It's warm even without lining. The shirt jacket works great for layering and can be dressed up or down. Depending on the look you're going for, you should buy your regular size or size up. If you're 5"8+, I strongly suggest getting the tall version. I purchased the tall version and the length hits perfectly. The regular length would have been awkwardly short. It's a pricy piece, but certainly worth the investment.

Ok this is very comfy and stylish. No really warm though. I can't believe how much they charge for this and I got mine on "sale". Would have returned it but sale items were exchange only.

I reach for this merino wool 'shacket' often. It is well made, warm and a good topper to go with many things. Highly recommend!

Love this jacket and have it in 2 colours. I’m 5’4” and purchased an XL regular according to the website’s size chart, but it was overly large and way too long in the arms. I exchanged it and decided to try an XL short, and this turned out to be a good fit for me.

Fits nice bit loose super stylish and comfortable

Very comfortable and I was surprised at how warm this jacket is. I can use a long sleeve top under and I am good to go on the cold weather. I sized up so that I can layer.

Perfect shirt jacket

I was really excited to get this jacket this season. I have 3 others from a couple years ago and I wear them all the time. This years version is thinner, cheaper feeling. I returned it. I put my old ones and the new one side by side and it’s very obvious this years is not the quality of years ago.

Please note I am literally taking time away from finals week to write about how cute this jacket is…. I’ve been on the fence for a while about buying this but I finally did and WOW it is soft and not bulky and unflattering like most warm, longer wool jackets are. This is wearable in the spring and winter. I live in Montana and was thinking this would be warm enough for the winter but I’ll have to layer. It looks way better in person and the Scarab color is really lovely. Haven’t washed it yet so I’m not sure about pilling…. But so far I think it’s very worth it.

I love the plaid green pattern but was very disappointed that the material was not the same as my other 5 ganna jackets. With the mix of materials it was scratchy and not as smooth. Too bad aritzia placed these plaid ones with the regular ones because I had to return it but only got a gc because it was on sale. Size is slightly larger.

I really wanted to love it more, It is warm enough for fall, it looks nice on the few wears but then it catches dirt easily and and started peeling from rubbing with the purse or backpack. And I should have read the care, only dry cleaning. The jacket is already pricey and now you have to spend money on dry cleaning and I chose a lighter color which attracts dirt easily.

Love this jacket. I had been eyeing it up for awhile and decided to take the plunge.
Oversized, comfy, super warm, versatile -looks great with anything.
If I had to pick it apart, I would just say the sleeves are on the shorter side.
In most brands I’m a size small. For this jacket I got the XS, maybe could have gone for the XXS.
For reference I’m 5”1, 120lbs athletic/petite.

Old Version = Incredible Luxury Quality --> 2022 version = thin, shapeless, fast fashion

I ordered the new scarab plaid jacket and the quality is terrible compared to my other 3 jackets. The fabric is terrible, itchy and thin. This jacket is basicallly a sweater now. I never leave reviews but I think it’s unbelievable to charge this amount for this decline in quality. Wait for the sale or better yet skip this jacket.

Loved the jacket to start but have experienced alt of pilling after only a few ears. Disappointed in the quality since it is noticeable. I got the heather birch and the pilling is grey and is seen inside, the back of the coat and the arms. Would advise you to rethink this and get a different type of coat.

Despite being such a lightweight coat, it is warm. I bought the one with eye-catching purple and am always getting compliments on how stylish it is. Highly recommended. Sleeves seemed a bit short, but still reached my wrists.

I had been eye-ing this jacket for a long time and I’m so glad I finally got not just one but two. Sizing really depends on what you want to wear it with. I have one smaller to wear with lighter clothes underneath and a jacket on top if needed and another to wear with sweaters. Would suggest sizing down though if you don’t want it to be too baggy.

Love Aritzia shackets, but this is not the one. The jacket is unlined and the material is super scratchy and leaves little fibers on your clothes. The fit is also not very flattering. Exchanged for a different style.

I have a few Ganna jackets, I wear them all the time! One thing I noticed with the most recent one I purchased is it fit a bit differently - the arms & overall length was shorter. I typically wear these in an XS but exchanged my new one for a S.

I was worried this type of clothing would just look like a girl wearing an old man’s jacket on me and somehow only tall model looking people could pull it off but I was surprised to find that it fits in a very flattering way. I have yet to see it look strange on someone. I found it does fit a little big, I ordered small and would probably order an xs next time. Just watch that you can fit a sweater underneath, that there’s no uncomfy restriction in the armpit area if you size down. The only thing I was disappointed about was after watching YouTube reviews I was expecting the sleeves to be lined. I guess that was a feature of a past years version? Little ol’ me would ask that aritizia bring this feature back, if you don’t wear a warm layer underneath and you opt for just a tshirt or thin sleeve you will feel the breeze on a windy day through the arms especially. I took a train back to toronto this past weekend, only wore a tank top underneath and froze my butt off sitting there on the train in my merino wool jacket…. But beautiful coat, would buy again in another colour, recommend to aritzia that they bring the lined sleeves back.
