Love these wide leg and easy to wear pants. Wear them dressed or with casual sneakers. The crepette is my favourite material.

Size was too small compared to other brands

I am retired, but I have worn these pants a lot to church and to evening functions. I have them in black and constant camel, and I find myself going to the constant camel the most. I actually didn’t like the crêpe material, and decided on the suiting material. I’ve only washed them once, but they wash great. The only thing with these pants is that I find huge inconsistency with sizing. The crepe pant fits bigger in the waist than the office pant, so I sized up. There is no waist gaping and they are an high fit. Actually I had some difficulty getting a length with both pant legs the same length. I bought the regular, but I had to take the camel pants to be shortened, and the black ones I had to take to have 1 leg altered because I couldn’t get both legs to be the same length.

I need to return it size small for me

While i like my pants, they are a bit tight around the bum, and maybe should have sized up for a more relaxed fit. However, when i tried a size larger i was swimming in them and were too loose. Overall i like the look of the pants, but found i am ‘between sizes’ i definitely recommend trying 2 different sizes to see what look you like better.

I saw mixed reviews about whether or not to size up. I'm usually a size 14 in pants but I should have sized up to a size 16 in these. They fit in the waist but the pants don't drape like they're supposed to. If I had a smaller bum they probably would've fit fine. Might try the crepette next time although this fabric feels better for winter. (The review doesn't offer a size 14 as an option for what I ordered and my usual size. I ordered a 14 and am usually a 14 and they were too small).

Bought these in my normal size, but the sizing is unpredictable. These are at least an inch smaller around the waist compared to the same size in the crepette fabric.

The item is beautiful however the pants are no where near short enough based on the information online.

I literally measured myself before ordering these and the size chart suggested two sizes above my average size. When they arrived, I drowned in them-- think my usual size, or one size up, would be the right fit. I'd only order up if you're between sizes.

Really happy with the quality of these pants. They fit very well. They don’t wrinkle easily especially when you sit.

These are perfect for me. They give a beautiful tailored look at work, but can be paired with a crop top when headed out with friends. I have 4 pairs!

I have had issues with the seams at the bottom coming undone. Given these are such a staple for me, I usually just get them sewed up locally although I believe Aritzia would probably honour their quality & take them back if asked.

I'm 5'9 and the tall version is perfect for when I'm wearing heels.

Love these pants! They hang a little wider and a little more straight than the crepette original effortless. So comfortable it feels like wearing pyjama or sweatpant bottoms. The length seems to be a little bit shorter than the original effortless as well - which is appreciated! The original seemed extra long to me and I could only wear them with heels. My size in the original effortless is fairly loose, but these are slightly more fitted at the waist. Huge fan.

These are beautiful pants but the sizing is off. I had to return and order two sizes larger.

I love the look of the Effortless Pants. I do want to flag, that although the style of pants is the same, the material used can be very different. I have three pairs (black, plaid, beige), each bought about one year apart. Each pant has a very different type of fabric, consistently, and in turn, feel/comfort. Something to think about if you are ordering these pants! I wear a size 6 and find them true to size, but could size up to an 8 for a less tight look.

They are a beautiful pant. Classy and the lining is great. I had to order 2 sizes bigger than what I normally am though which hit the ego a bit!

The effortless pants unfortunately don’t fit me the way I was hoping for. I am 5’7 and half with longer legs. My waist is 30inch/46inch hips, I got the size 14 but it didn’t sit on me well, the gap in the waist can be tailored, however it sits on my hips in a very unflattering way and the crotch sags. But the size 12 is too tight on my hips sadly, it will go up but the pockets stick out.

Great fit but they’re quite long. I’m 5’5 and got regular and I have to wear heels with them. I’ll prob get an inch hemmed. True to size as well

I’m 5’10, so I’ve struggled finding wide-leg pants that are long enough, but these are perfect (I got the tall inseam)! I wouldn’t be able to wear a high heel with them, but I’m mostly going to be wearing them with casual outfits or for work. The fabric feels like it’s good quality, and they have nice structure to them. I did find I had to size up though. Highly recommend!

I was looking forward to these pants because I love my other Effortless pants. I ordered my usual size 8. Unfortunately, these fit too small around the waist even though every single other pair I have fit perfectly at that size. Perhaps it’s the material that makes them fit differently. Nonetheless, I had to return them. It’s disappointing as I had come to trust the brand and knowing what size will work for me. The quality felt nice otherwise.

Purchased these in the heather rich cocoa, which is a beautiful dark brown. I usually wear size 4/27 in pants and I had to size up in these to a size 6 (5’4, 127lbs) so that the pleats laid nicely. I got the regular length and they look fine with a platform sneaker/heal. They also look fine with flat but a little worried about the material dragging on the ground. The material is nice and thick!

I bought regular length in order to get the color to match a sweater however I didn’t like the color together with the sweater and decided not to spend the money having them shortened. I don’t understand why short lengths are never offered in more colors only black and white.

These pants are well made and have a flattering fit. I would buy them in every color if I could.

I love the effortless pant, I have about 10 pairs of them in different colours and lengths. The fabric is a bit heavier than the crepe effortless pant and I prefer the flow of the crepe better. I got oat beige and I just love the colour so much I got the matching blazer as well. I always find I have to size up on these because they are smaller in the waist, also I always have them tailored slightly to make the legs not quite as wide.

I bought these in the navy and I'm absolutely in love with them. They're a nice stretchy fabric. Fits true to size. I'm 5'9, 130 pounds and the size 4 fits perfectly. The regular length sits just an inch off the floor. I probably could have changed it to the tall fit but these were purchased in store so that wasn't available.

Love these pants, they will definitely be a staple. They hang well. I think they run SLIGHTLY large.

These are the perfect pant for dressing up or down. I’m always a size 4 (5’5 127lbs) but had to size up to a 6. The waist was a great fit but the pleats stretched out on my hips; a size larger maintained the waist but smoothed out the pleats and gave more room in my hips/butt

I am always so excited to find pants offered in tall but these are far too short for my 5ft 10in frame. I can hardly wear them with flats much less heels. They fall about an inch above my heel flat footed. Otherwise, the rise is perfect and they do not wrinkle, which is great. Wish the length worked for me.

These pants have the perfect weight and wide leg soft material flow that make them so chic!

I’m a big fan of the effortless pant. They’re more than I normally spend on pants, but the fabric holds up well to weekly washing in the washer. The fit is flattering and really dresses up the plain tees I like to wear to work. They’re also great for going out when paired with a cute shirt. I’m 140 lbs and 5’6” and I go with the size 6 just to be comfortable on longer plane rides or when I’m sitting for long periods at a time. The only thing is that I need the size 6 is an inch or 2 too long, so I need them hemmed.

The fit and weight of these pants are worth the price. I wear them with trainers around town or a low heel for work- super versatile!

I love the fabric of these pants and the fit is so flattering. I'm 5'2 and definitely glad I went with the short option. A classic staple that will never go out of style.

Please release the tannin effortless pants in this material again and this time in sizes 12-16 please! I have a blazer in this color from a year ago and in desperate need to get matching trousers for it :,(

They did fit really nice but the pleats stuck out weirdly. I don’t know if they would have softened a bit and laid flatter after washing but I didn’t want to risk it. I got them in a tall and the length was great too. I return them and I’m ordering a different style of pant.

I purchased size 2 in Heather Oat Beige to go along with a blazer. Within a few wears of these pants, the seam around the bottom of the right leg became COMPLETELY undone. There are also several loose threads throughout the pants too. They had great potential if they were made with attention to detail and quality though!

Love the pant but I did need to get it tailored in waist and bum...a bit large...my tailor made tweaks which added to the price. Otherwise I like the pant overall.

I’m 5’5 and was drowning in these - way too long and will have to get them hemmed. Since the short version says it is for 5’3 and below, didn’t get the short version. Bummer.

These pants have a great feel and, most importantly, the "Short" length works perfectly for me – I have shorter legs and my thighs/behind are on the thicker side while my waist is small, and these fit my body really nicely. The oat color will be nice for summer workwear.

I recently bought these pants for graduate school in Oat Beige. The fit is nice however, a friend pointed out the stitching on the zipper is completely off and misaligned. I was so upset and kinda of embarrassed. I am aiming to look professional and the poor quality of the stitching and make of the pants is very disappointing considering the cost. I am looking hoping for a response from Aritzia on this matter. So be aware of the make of these pants.
