the effortless pant™ linen

Bought the linen pants cuz I have the normal effortless pants and they fit like a glove and are so perfect. Got my normal size in the linen and they were way too small I could barely zip them up. After reading review seemed that other people found them small too. Then bought the size up and the waist was way too big. Annoying that the sizing is so different from the normal effortless but I guess I just wasn’t meant to have the linen version.

The waist fits great, but they are very long. I’m 5’6 and the short version is still slightly too long.

I love these pants, I have them in black that I bought 2021. I purchased the Natural Ecru pants this year, wore them once and washed. I followed the care instructions on the label (in cold water and hung dry), but they shrunk so much they are now unwearable. I never had an issue with my previous pair, they are still in great shape after 2 years of wear and washing. It appears the material may be different, I'm not sure what changed over the past year or so. Really unfortunate since these pants are pricey and was hoping they could be a staple piece.

I am 5’2”. I have Aritzia pants in different styles in size 00, 0 and 2. The size 2 I bought when I was bigger and are now way too big. To be safe I went for 0. They turned out to be too tight around the waist. And even the short fitting was too long. I returned them and tried a size 2 which fitted more comfortably but were a little baggy. Fabric and quality looked great. Wished they fitted me better.

I needed work pants and purchased the effortless pant with regular fabric (Rich Mocha Brown) and linen (Ecru) in a size 2 short. I'm 5'3 with a 25in waist and a 36-37in hips. The effortless pant with regular fabric fit me well at a size 2 (but I will have to shorten the pants by an inch or two or fit with sneakers/flat shoes). The linen size, however, would not zip up. It buttoned fine, but my hips were too wide. I had to exchange it for a size 4 and it fits just as well as the normal fabric. The color Ecru is not see-through, but just to be safe, I only wear nude underwear with it. If you have a similar body type/measurements, i recommend sizing up!

When deciding on pants, I tried the agency pant and effortless pant. I preferred the way the effortless pant fit. But i did notice that this pant was longer than the agency even though i bought both in short.

These pants are great quality HOWEVER I’m usually a 6/8 so I sized up to an 8 and these pants still don’t fit. I have the regular effortless pants in a size 8 and those fit great but something about the linen version is not working for my body.

Such chic pants , made well, fit well. You’ll need a steamer tho as they get so wrinkled even tho I only hang them. You’ll also need to fold them on their pleat to keep their shape after washing.

I’ll start this by saying I love Aritzia trousers and have many different styles. I’m a true size 6. In these pants I had to size up to an 8 in the golden yellow color. I knew with Linen they would wrinkle but OMG, they are so wrinkled, I feel really unprofessional wearing them at work because I look so disheveled. Before wearing them, I tried to steam and iron. It helped a little but only for a short period of time. Not sure if I have a defective pair or if they are all this wrinkly. The color is gorgeous but I feel like this was a waste of money :(

I weigh 155lbs and have a big waist right now because I had a baby. My waist is anywhere from 31-35 inches. I was JUST able to get the size 12 closed. I ordered talk because I’m 5’9” and will have to hem these to wear with sandals as they are super long.

These pants are perfect for summer to be dressed up or down. Yes I should have listened to the other reviews when they said they fit small they fit small. I am a 6 in the other effortless pants (which I felt fit a bit small as I usually get a 4) So I purchased a 6 anyway and had to go back for an 8 they are just lightly smaller than the crepe material and linen can also shrink. I bought the linen shirt to match,

I have the regular effortless pants in a size 4 and they are a bit roomy around the waist. I purchased these in the same size and I could barely do them up. The vin gris colour has a very pink hue, unfortunately will be returning.

I sized up (from 4 to 6) and the fit is perfect in the waist/hips/thighs (I tried on the 4 in store and it was too tight in waist/hips) but the short is MUCH too long! Easily an extra three inches of fabric, and having to hem $150 pants seems a bit ridiculous to me. It's such a shame because otherwise the fabric is so gorgeous and the cut/pleating is really really nice, I would love to be able to keep them but I can't justify spending an additional amount of money on making them fit the way they should have from the beginning. Short should be for SHORT girlies

I normally wear size 0 or XS in Aritzia. I find the Effortless and Agency pant fit slightly smaller so I have to size up to Size 2. Not sure if the linen will stretch too much.

I bought and returned these! The short length is way too long (I’m 5”3), and despite people saying you should size up, I found that sizing up made them gigantic. Even at my normal size I just wasn’t into the fit. I had more luck with the carrot linen pant - better fit and perfect length, would recommend those instead.

I want these pants in every color, I was a little nervous to order my usual size because of all the reviews saying people needed to to size up, but I went with a 0 short and it’s perfect. I’m a 2-4 in lululemon and wear a 24s jean if that helps. The 0 is tight but in a good way, they are so flattering

Beautiful option for a structured linen pant that can be dressed up or down. The linen feels very nice, there isn’t too much fabric around the waist that you sometimes see with this style trouser.

Took one star off because the pants are quite long, even the short option remains 1-2inchs too long (5’3” for reference) so will need to be hemmed. The pants are also unlined so are mildly see through.

I have these pants in the regular polyester blend and love the way they fit and drape. I bought these in linen and could barely zip them up—same size! So sad!

These pants are amazing, I have them on linen (black) and wear them all of the time. The fit is true to size and I'd recommend sizing up if anything. I'm 5'10 (130lbs) and size 2 but I purchased the 4 for a looser fit and they are perfect.

I sized up one size after reading reviews. That was the right move. However I ordered a short size and the length is still too long. Much longer than my effortless pants in crepe which are also “short” size. Sizing should be consistent across the same style of pant and even the same brand. I will still have to get these hemmed so I will probably return them because that will increase the cost of an already very expensive item.

Normally I'm a size 2 but sized up to a 4 due to some reviews I read. That worked out well for me. I'm 5'3 125lb, the waist portion is loose on me but fits perfectly at the hips.

Had to reorder a size up from original effortless size. TALL GIRL APPROVED!! (If you order tall) I’m 5’7, 28 inch waist, 130 lbs ordered size 6 :) does wrinkle at crotch area.. but common duh.. it’s linen! Amazing colour. Happy girl!

These are so beautiful and flattering, and so classy looking, can be worn so many ways. Beware of sizing and majorly size up or go into the store to try on before purchasing. I am usually a size 2 through and through and for these I sized up to a 6!! I'm 5"4 and the short length hits at the perfect spot for me:)

These are flattering, amazing quality pants made from linen blend that does not wrinkle as pure lined does. Fit true to size for my almost rectangle shape figure. My regular size is 6 and effortless in any fabric size 6 fits me very well.

The length is good for my 5 foot 7 height with small hill.

The pants are very versatile - can be used for many situations in spring-summer-early fall.

Also, there is no lining which many of us does not like for summer and the fabric is thick enough so pants are not see through in light colors.

Size is so off that it w a laughable. Size 14 fit like a size 6.

I have several pairs of the effortless pant in other fabrics. I bought my usual size in the linen and the fit was not the same at all. They were smaller but in very odd areas. I returned.

Great for summer and holidays. You must size up on these. I wear a 6 normally but based on customer reviews I ordered an 8. The 8 just fits. The length on the regular for me was good.

There is no difference in inseam length between the effortless linen pant regular and the effortless linen pant tall in white. Also, the size 8 is even smaller than the usual size 8. It fits more like a size 6. I would strongly encourage Aritzia to be more consistent in sizing (length and width). Would it be too much to ask that all regular inseam lengths be 32" and all tall inseam lengths be at least 34-35¨?

Such a classic pant for work, weekends and everything in between. Note that the Linen Effortless Pant fits slightly smaller than the regular Effortless Pant because there's no stretch.

The effortless pants are definitely not for everybody. I am normally a size 6 but these were far too small for me. The size 8 were small in the hip and thigh and baggy at the waist. The 10s were enormous. Clearly not cut to suit curvy body types.

I ordered a pair in a size 8 larger than my normal size but correct in terms of the sizing guide. While I was waiting for that order I happened to be by an Aritzia and while I was in the store tried on a size 8 to see how they would fit when I eventually got them. The band was so tight around my waist that I could barely get them buttoned. I then decided to try a size 10 to see if it was worth ordering the next size up, and I had no fewer than 4 inches of gap around the waist band. It felt as if I went two sizes up instead of one. When my pants finally arrived they fit well around the waist band and not at all close to the pair I tried on in store. The manufacturing is very inconsistent and you roll the dice when ordering your size on whether it will fit or not.

I own several Effortless Tall Pants in other fabrics. I am always a Size 4, however reading the reviews that these linen pants run small — I ordered a Size 6. To my surprise, even the Size 6 was tight!

I really want these pants, so am going to try a Size 8. I am 5'10" and 135 lbs for any tall girls trying to find their perfect size in these pants!

I tried two pairs of the exact pant in different colors and found the sizing to be inconsistent, even though they both were a size 6. The light beige one ran small all over, especially in the waist. The blue pair fit beautifully, but I decided against the color. I returned both pairs but will try again in a different style.

I loved the color and how it draped but sadly it was too small for me ao i had to return. I will order again next time with the right size.

Fits great just need to go up a size. I’m a size Zero in all effortless pants except for this linen fabric pants. I ordered a size 2 for this and fits perfect! Amazing pants just need to size up. 😊

Overall the pants are high quality and all that, but they do indeed fit at least a full size smaller than the way my other effortless pants in the same size do.

I’m a usual size 6 for effortless pants, but the one I got is a small 6 , it fits me really tight on waist

This is the fourth time I have purchased the effortless pants and not 1 pair has been accurately sized. I have a black pair in a size 8, so I ordered the linen material also in a size 8. My black pair is great and fit very comfortably. When I received the linen pair, I could hardly get them zipped up. When I lay them flat against my black pair they are easily an inch smaller in the waist. The difference in material should not dictate the size of the waist. The inconsistencies in Aritzia sizing is inexcusable and frustrating, not to mention the potential for this to have such a negative impact on body image and confidence.

These pants are amazing. These run a little smaller in comparison to the regular effortless pants though. I’m 5’1” and short is still too long.

The pants fit perfectly and exactly what I was looking for. I am just under 5'4 and ordered the short length in 00. Perfect length for me (wearing wedges or flats).

I didn’t heed the majority of reviews and ordered my usual Effortless Pant size (a 0). In the linen, they were MUCH smaller than my crepette pair (at least an inch smaller in the waist) and very tight in the front. Once I sized up to a 2, they fit perfectly in the waist, slightly baggier in the thighs. But for a summer pant I don’t mind that they’re looser. I guess time will tell on how well they are made though!

According to the size chart a person who is 5’4, (that’s me) can get the regular length. That was a lie lol. If you want to be able to wear flat shoes and are 5’5 and under, get short effortless pants!!!

I can often fit into a size 2 but bought a size 4 tall just in case. Though I could close the button and clasp around my waist, I couldn’t zip it all the way up — like it wasn’t even close. I’m guessing it’s because I have a butt? Not a very big one, but one regardless.

Also, the tall size was still way too short!! Barely reached my ankles.

Lastly, the fabric felt cheaper than I’d expect from Artizia.

I bought effortless pants in a size 4 in linen and crepette. The crepette (which tried on in store) fit perfectly! Sadly as another reviewer mentioned, the linen pants are a much smaller (around 2 inch!)! I am very disappointed and can not return or exchange sizes because they are a final sale item. So I do not know if I should reorder them a size up or try another size 4.
