the effortless pant™ linen

I gave 1 star because of the inconsistent sizing not only in the waist/hips but also the length. I have the crepette Effortless pants that I love and wear a lot. I had to go up a size in them from an 8 to 10 and got them hemmed. I am 5’5 and got a regular length which was way too long. So I wanted this color in linen and heard they run even smaller so I bought a size 12 which were an odd fit but too big as the crotch was too loose and hips were huge. So I reordered a size 10 which were too tight thru hip. I’m disappointed and returning both pairs unfortunately. I am usually a size M or size 8 at Aritzia and Lululemon. 29 in waist, 38 hip(hip bone measurement but 40in. thru seat and pear shaped.

Absolutely love this linen version for the summer. They fit bigger: I’m generally a 4 and should’ve done down to a 2. They shrink a lot!! So wash in cold water and hang to dry before you decide to hem.

Bought the linen version of these pants as I have the black regular ones. They were a bit tighter than the style I have. Exchanged them for the same size in a different style and they fit much better, like my black ones in the same size. Wore this pair ONE TIME to an event and the hook to close the pants came off. Unimpressed. Why do these pants cost 145$ and last one wear? Quality at aritzia is going down..

Beautifully made as far as fabric and construction, but I am 0 for 3 on trying to make the sizing work. I got a 4 Tall, 6 Tall and 2 Regular because that was in stock. The 4 and 6 are both HUGE despite me being between a 4 or 6 on the size chart. I had about an extra 2 -3 inches in the waist for the 4 Tall. As a result, I tried the 2 Regular since the Tall was not in stock. These just arrived and they are TINY. I am busting out of the waist on these and cannot wear them comfortably. This means there is a huuuge difference for how the Tall and Regulars are made. To make it more confusing, the size 6s for the Effortless Linen SHORTS fit perfectly. How can a waist size change so much just from cropping the legs into shorts?? I assume I'll need a 2 Tall to make these pants work, but they aren't in stock for about 5 MONTHS from now. I give up. For reference, my measurements are 5'10", 27.5 waist, 37.5 hip. Do yourself a favor and just try them in the store, if you're lucky.

The sizing isn’t the same compared to the resential version so I’m in between sizes. The fabric is vey nice though and the length was perfect.

I am 5'3" and my inseam is 30, so i ordered short to not tonpay extra to hem on top of pricy pants but it says short but inseam of the pants were 33 inches, still had to get ot hemmed. But overall fit was nice after tailoring. Cute with the matching vest.

Best Pants EVER!! So cozy, & just the right length. I’m a size 6 & ordered a size 6. You can dress them up or down. I want them in EVERY COLOR!! The material is chefs kiss!

Very comfortable, soft and not too hot like most linen

I tried the effortless pant in the original fabric and liked it but returned these. The drape just wasn’t the same in linen and the darts made the fit look frumpy/makes your hips look wider than they are. I wish Aritzia made more of the low rise effortless because I loved the fit of those and think they’re more universally flattering anyways (don’t worry they’re not 2000s low rise).

I originally ordered the regular length, but they were way too long. I then ordered the short length and it was great!

These pants fall nicely, can be dressed up or down and are tts. I sometimes fit into a size 4 depending on the clothes, but I wanted a more baggy feel for these so I kept the size 6. However, I did purchase the limitless high rise cropped linen pants in a size 4 because they fit better. I have not worn the pants yet, so I don’t know if they will stretch.

These fit true to size (just ever so slightly snug in the waist though but fine). I’m 5’7” 133 lbs 45 years old athletic build. They come long so you can tailor as you wish. Classic fit. Flattering pants. The only ding for me is the linen is very heavy. Seems a bit warm for summer so I’ll probably wear mostly in the spring and end of summer/early fall.

These pants are a great staple for summer and nice to wear to the office and out during the summer. I would say they fit a little smaller if you have wider hips as they are a straight leg pant.

Not quite understanding why the linen version of the effortless pant fits smaller... but it does. However, I bought the wider version and it pretty much fits in between sizes. I'm an 8 across the board. In these I would've probably had to size up to a 10 and then taken them to my tailor to bring in the waist. I chose an 8 in these b/c for some reason the wider version allows for a wee bit of extra room in the hip/thigh area. It's just enough. Love these! 4 stars only b/c the white is a little see-through. You'd think that for this price they could work out a thicker fabric. In any event, throw on a pair of nude colored undies and you're good to go.

These pants are great! Nice cut, light fabric and flattering. Perfect office work pants. Fits exactly like the other effortless pants.

Love them! I can’t believe I waited so long to get a pair of Effortless. The fit and material are great- perfect for work or with t-shirt and running shoe.

I want to love it but I find it too wide for me. Looks like a pyjama to me & not flattering. I’m on the petite side. I hope Aritzia brings back the carrot pant.

Length is good, waistband is standard width , fabric is very soft.

I purchased both black and white linen effortless. I tried on the white ones, and they are divine! I love the linen fabric; it is pretty soft. The trousers flow and look so airy and classy. It makes me want to go on my summer vacation ASAP. I'm 5'2" 115-120lbs and got the short version size 4. It is very comfortable around the waist and a bit loose, but I wanted them flowy because the size 2 sometimes gives me a wedgy. As they are, I need 3" heels because they are "long," which is acceptable to me. These trousers look the best with heels. Based on a review, they may shrink after washing. We will see. I'm pleased with my purchase and looking forward to receiving the black ones!

Bought these for a conference as I figured I’d prefer linen over polyester and while I do prefer natural materials over plastic it also means wrinkles. These came out of the box a hot wrinkled mess which makes me worry and wonder how I will get them wrinkle free while traveling. Also makes me wonder if they’ll wrinkle throughout the day while wearing. While again I appreciate this is the true nature of linen it’s just not something I really thought through so I’ll be exchanging for the plastic crude oil ones which I fit in size 0 rather than 2 which is my size in the linen ones.

I want to like it but it’s way too wide and long for me. I’m 4’11 and 105 lbs. I ordered the size 6 in Short length but still long for my height. I’m thinking of ordering the cropped version instead. I hope Aritiza includes the item measurements in the description. It’ll make things easier for the buyers.

Beware! The sizing of these is not consistent with the original Effortless pants in crepette. I had to go up a size. The length ended up being almost two inches too long so I was planning on getting them hemmed (I usually need to hem pants) but I washed them first according to the instructions (delicate cycle, cold, tumble dry low) and they shrunk in length almost two inches! All in all love the pants and then linen, just size up and wash first before wearing or tailoring!

I am 5’7” and a half. I had to hem the pants because they were too long. But it was very much worth it. I didn’t mind. I receive lots of compliments. I wear with tennis shoes and T-shirt. They are very comfortable.

All my pants from aritzia are size 6, and I needed a size 10 in this (wtf?) . That being said, I got the white linen, they are a bit see throught as white linen is; wear your underwear accordingly. They are confortable and stylish. They run a bit long, but better long than short for me.

Love this style. Ordered in Natural Ecru, Regular length, Size 12. They were very long so had to have them tailored. Shortened them the width of the cuff and now they are perfect. These fit slightly smaller than my crepette Effortless Pants in the same size. Prefer them to the cropped version. Wear them with all my Contour tops. Very elegant, take-you-anywhere outfit. Ordering another colour today. Don’t hesitate to buy these if you’re thinking about them!!

Very nice well made pants and fits perfectly with 2” heels.

Generally fits well but the pants are too long, i’ll have to get them hemmed. I understand the style could work for dark pants, but to have natural linen pants dragging on the ground is not viable no matter how stylish it may or may not be. I might recommend going for the short option if you are 5’7 or under.

I thought these were going to be too small, but they wore in beautifully in an hour or so. The length is just a little bit shorter than my crepette fabric pants.. and I always hesitate to buy a long and get them tailored bc the long feels likes it’s longer in the seat of the pants and comes up too high on me. But I just have to wear very flat shoes with these

In this colour the linen is so soft. I’m 5’2 and I got the regular length to wear with heels. I also purchased the short length in black (not as soft) to wear with flats. One of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time. Really looking forward to wearing these light pants in the summer and on vacays!

I prefer my original Effortless pants, found these fit bigger and longer. The material was pretty but like all linen will wrinkle like crazy. Returned

Well made pants. I originally ordered a size 8 and while they fit, I exchanged for a size 10. I felt that being linen, the first wash would probably shrink them a bit too much. Linen should flow and I think going up a size achieves that. I am petite so even the "Short" length are too long so will have to have them shortened. I love 100% linen but I'm looking forward to seeing how this blend works.

Love these pants so much. The material is amazing (soft but structured), they’re not see through at all, and they are such a moment. I feel like if Sofia Richie shopped Aritzia these would be her first pick! They’re actually true to size — I’m not sure why people said they fit smaller but they don’t. I could even size down if I really wanted to but I’m going for a very comfy fit. Get your normal size / the same size as any of your other effortless pants. They will fit perfectly!

These pants reign supreme above all other tailored/pleated linen trousers out there. I’ve tried so many other brands. The pleat all the way down the leg, the cut, the fit, the not too wide leg - give these the classiest and most flattering look. The linen feels amazing on, so light. I am 5’4” 135 lbs, waist 29 hips 38-39, I’m pear shaped so it’s very hard to find straight or wide leg pants that will look good on my shape. I ordered a 6 and 8 to try and the 6 just fit, if I gain 5lbs they won’t. The 8 was a tad too big or just looser look which made me look bigger. The size guide is dead on. I was thinking maybe petit but the regular inseam and rise are just right, petit would not have fit.
