the duvet puffer

I am very disappointed in this puffer. I guess I wouldn't be mad if I got it for $180, but it is definitely NOT WORTH $375. It's VERY THIN. I feel like its goose down fill is only half of the shorter version. The shorter version is much better in terms of quality.

Love, but the black is not black?? I pretty much wear all black, pants, sweaters etc and the coat clashes so hard with anything else black, it’s not a true deep black it’s almost a blueish black. I thought i got blue by mistake but the salesperson confirmed with me that this is black and apparently it’s a common complaint they get.

I feel like this coat is designed more for aesthetics than practicality. I wore it a few times and the slightest bit of wind would blow the hood right off-it drove me crazy. I wanted to be able to wear it for everyday use, running errands, etc. but also for going on walks. On chilly days when the hood would fall back I was just like, MAN! I paid so much for this coat and I can't even use the hood! My head was cold...and this is only the beginning of the cold season. And also bear in mind that the buttons stop, I wanna say, about a foot from the bottom so when you walk/when it's windy/or when you sit down, it opens and the draft comes in. So when I sat in my cold car or sat on a bench I thought, daaaaang I really wish this would close all the way to keep my legs warm the length of the coat :(
Anyway ;-P these things totally might not bother you but I was hyper aware of them and just wanted to give you a heads up; hopefully this is helpful in you making your decision. Give some thought to how you plan to wear it.. I think it's a lovely coat if it's not too cold (for the draft on the legs) and NOT windy fyi the hood did stay up with zero wind. It is very comfortable and I love the pretty, minimalist design but didn't work out for me. Peace.

Beautiful coat. Ordered a Small after checking the measurements but probably could have gone for an XS but also wanted to wear thicker sweaters underneath so a S is probably better. Love the fabric, warm and because it’s probably slightly bigger the buttons don't pop when i sit down in a chair or the car. Received a ton of compliments and it kept me warm when I visited Utah in the winter.

Warm and light but I hate that it has snaps instead of a zipper. Extremely annoying but I am sick of searching for a new coat

The fit is to be expected. Perfect. The quality of the duvet puffer is slightly more lightweight than the super puff, but it is still very warm. I couldn’t be happier with the green colour and length. The hood is very large - it feels like a soft pillow. Minor flaw: it blows off easily in the wind!

Package arrived quickly but I was so disappointed in the quality of the material and the very small amount of filling which was also uneven throughout the coat. Those two factors also made it feel as if I was one wrong tug away from ripping out the buttons. Immediately returned and bought the super puff instead.

I have heavy expensive parkas from Mooseknuckles and Rudsak (worst splurge) and I always found my shoulders very tense and tired wearing them after a short time. I was avoiding going out often during Quebec winters because I hated that heavy weight on me until I discovered Aritzia!
I first saw this Babaton in short and loved how it looked on me but went with the short superpuff because I was advised it’s warmer. I recall I had a picture trying Babaton in my phone gallery and always liked the elegance and style of it when I looked back.
I was still so happy with the Superpuff light weight and their customer service for my zipper after, that when I decided to purchase a long parka after 2 years I decided to go again with Aritzia.
I tried both Superpuff and Babaton in long and Babaton looked classier on me plus it looked different than my short superpuff so I chose Babaton this time. I am choosing elegance this time and the length is long enough to cover for being a little less warm than superpuff. I’m also ok with the buttons as Im not planning to run in -30 for hours, So choose what matter most to you given your closet selection and priority. This is different than other styles and that is because every style has its own features and clients :)!
The sizing is the same as Superpuff.

Very cute/comfortable coat, but the snaps are tiny and constantly open at the slightest pull. There should be an internal hidden zipper, but there is not. Had to return. Warm - but not enough for super cold temps.

This coat is gorgeous but after trying to make it work for me for about a month in Minnesota winter I returned it—it snaps open with any little movement. It’s not a size thing either, the fit was quite roomy. I exchanged it for the long super puff and I’m in love

It is soft and light! But very difficult to walk when wearing this and it is is buttoned up.

Great coat, keep you very warm… only negative us that the bottom snap opens when getting iut if car… 😉

Obsessed with this coat, it’s so warm and comfortable! I don’t know why people give it a lower rating for having buttons and no zipper, literally shows the buttons online 🫠

The jacket is nice, I Just found it had no shape to it. I returned it.

The coat is gorgeous! Although cozy and comfy it does have the flaw of unbuttoning everytime I bend down to pick something up or sit down. I did size down quite a bit but I have 2021 version so it might run smaller than the current. I didn't want a bigger size because it would be too loose.
I still do love it for evening walks but won't wear it in the car. The emerald green colour is stunning but they don't seem to sell it anymore.

I love the length and warmth of the coat however it is completely impractical. Because the coat only has snaps to keep it closed, any small movements will make the coat pop open. No excessive movement by any means, the snaps pop open when I sit in the car, try to put on a backpack, it's very frustrating. I want to love the coat but I can't seem to get a liking to it because it's just doing what a winter coat should do (stay shut). The coat fits me beautifully its not too tight otherwise sizing up would solve the issue. If I were to size up I would be drowning in the coat and I still think I would be facing the same issues. Overall I am just very unhappy with the coat.

Light weight, very warm and cozy perfect length I’m 5ft2in casual but yet dressy.

Very light and comfortable. That's about it. I just tried it at the store but didn't buy it. If you are just into the look then yes you should get one. Experience tells me that their down jackets don't hold up to the temperature they said they could. Buttons are simply not practical for a jacket like this.

Coat is warm. My only concern is that it has snap buttons and not a zipper (I bought it online and didn’t realize it at the time). I’m worried they’ll rip from the material.

This coat is really pretty & I get a lot of compliments on it but OMG THE BOTTOM BUTTONS. It truly drives me insane that they can't stay shut for anything. I sized up & got a medium which has a lot of room but it still happens. I might add a zipper to keep it from happening bc I can't live like this.

Looks good and is comfortable standing but as soon as you go outside in the wind and start walking the bottom couple of buttons come immediately undone. Perhaps sizing up would help with this.

Super cute and comfortable but there is no way this would keep someone warm in -22 degrees F.

Also, there is no zipper and the buttons are the cheap plastic kind. I can't imagine that these buttons will hold up for an entire winter.

The coat looks nice but it feels very light and barely warmed me up in -2 degree weather. Pretty disappointed for the price point and the disclaimer that it holds up in -30 C/-22 F weather. The sizing is a littler bigger, the XS fit but the button at the bottom wouldn’t pull across to shut. The S fit is a little bulky when left open and sleeves are too loose.

I have the short version and I wanted a longer one. I’ve gained weight and thought the 2XL would fit. It turned out to be too big. Had to return it.

Really like this jacket! I will say it’s not as warm as the Superpuff and the bottom button comes undone quite often. Two downfalls for a pricey jacket, BUT I’m still glad I own it! It‘s a bit fancier than the superpuff so I find I wear it more often! The hood is so cozy, you truly feel like you’re wrapped in a duvet. I’ve received a lot of compliments too.

I looove how this coat looks and it’s so warm but if there’s even an ounce of wind the buttons don’t hold and the jackets rips wide open. It’s incredibly frustrating given the price I paid for the coat.

Coat is beautiful and warm but snaps are poorly manufactured and come undone very easily.

The jacket is very comfy and feels like wearing a blanket without looking like you are wearing one. It’s not as warm as my other jacket, which is perfect for our milder winter. Love the hood. Wish it has a zipper as well as the buttons though. I’m usually an XS and the 2XS fits comfortably. Also wished there were more color options as well but would definitely recommend.

It fits well. Even though it’s light weight it keeps you very warm.

i really enjoy this jacket! it keeps me warm no matter what! i wore this with just a t-shirt on underneath and was warm in -20° weather which is amazing. the reason for me rating it 4 stars is because i don’t like how there’s no zipper and it’s all buttons. when i climb steps the last buttons undoes and i get a draft up the jacket, but other than that it’s amazing!

I was skeptical coming from owning a Canada Goose. Now to be fair I wanted a warm coat without paying that CG or Mackage price. Now when I got this coat I was surprised how light it was. I wore it in the house and felt it was pretty warm and long.

The other day in NY it was in the 20s F. I decided to test this bad boy out and I was warm!! All I had was a crew neck sweater, black compression excessive leggings and Ugg slippers and socks. I loved how it reached down to my ankles. So warm so worth it!!! Only struggle I have is the shape in the coat and getting in and out the car. Lol

I love my new Catalina Duvet puffer. I wear an xxs and it fits great. I'm 5 ft. and 105 libs. It is long, but very similar in length to the Super Puff length for an xxxs which I have as well. I love the hood which is absolutely essential for the winter; it is roomy so it doesn't wreck my hair. It is very elegant and the quality of the coat is very good and lives up to its expectations. The Catalina colour is very nice and cheery for our long winters. The only thing I would suggest is although the snap closures are OK, it would be good to have another closing mechanism in addition to the snaps. I can see why a zipper might not be the best aesthetically (make the coat look sporty versus sophisticated). but then it would depend on the type of zipper. Maybe even larger or a different type of snap might be the solution. I am very happy with this purchase!

Love this puffer coat! Definitely warmer than any winter coat I've owned; however, the hood always flies off my head when its cold and windy outside. It's great for non windy days, but I live in an area where wind is extremely common in the winter and need to wear extra warm hats to keep my head warm.

Lightweight and very warm. Bought XS (5’6” 130 lbs 36-27-38). Not a fan of the button placement. Don’t really like how the jacket looks when closed. Wish it was more centred.

Warmest coat I have- I can wear at shirt underneath in 30 degree temp and not feel cold. Super light to wear. Soft material, waterproof. Love the color and look!
