i always order a way smaller size as I find it much more flattering, for example i get XS or XXS when I usually get M or even L in other aritzia clothing

Washed once and it shrunk it a quarter of the size. I followed the instructions and washed it cold and despite this dress is ruined and had to be thrown out. Material also got weird feeling.

It's soft and fits well! Don't know how it is after a wash/dry clean.

I love the feel of this sweater on, but unfortunately it has shrunk and is no longer a dress. I washed on delicates in cold water and lay flat to dry like the instructions stated. Very disappointed

I had been eyeing this for a while and finally bought it (back in December).
I'm 5'1", 110 lbs, 34DD. It just did not work for my frame. I have too much on top and not enough on the bottom so it just did not give me the silhouette I was hoping for.
The material was nice and warm. It wasn't soft, but it wasn't itchy or unpleasant. It would have been great for winter months with boots and I think would keep you very warm.
Overall a very nice sweater dress, just not for me.

I love the Montpelier sweater and thought that the dress would just be as nice. However it was too short and heavy for the type of look that I was going for.

I have been eyeing this dress for YEARS in the white. I finally broke down and bought it in the wine colour (I had recently purchased something similar in white). It is warm and cozy, professional enough for work, and the yarns used feel so nice on. So glad that I finally bought this!

The dress fits as expected everywhere except its length. It completely reveals your underwear if you raise your arms over your head. If you're into that, that's cool. I thought I was buying a dress. I'm 5'5".

Such a cute dress! I was worried it might be too oversized for me as I’m on the petite end (5,1, 115lbs) but it’s not. It’s that perfect amount of slouchy but I’m not drowning in it. I got the XS. Can’t wait to wear it when the weather gets cool!

First time I had it dry-cleaned, like instructions said it shrunk. I bought a size small and it fit oversized. Was a great sweater until, i followed the wash instructions indicated by the manufacturer. Another aritzia sweater brought to same dry cleaner at the same time did not shrink.

has some woolen yarn loose

I'm normally a small so went down to an xs as I read reviews that said it was oversized. In fact I should have gone down to an xxs or possibly smaller if it was am option. The xs can fit my 5'11 husband lol

I purchased my usual size and it fits perfectly without being too oversized. It’s just shy of a slouchier fit (which I wanted) but hugs in all the right places and doesn’t look baggy. I have this dress in 2 colours, it’s so cozy and comfy - I pair it with leggings and boots and I never want to take it off!

This little dress saves me so much time in the morning. I can just throw it on, add a pair of high boots and some cute earrings and I am ready to go in a chic little outfit. Love it! I love the quality of the knit as well. It feels very well made.

Love the dress fits perfect

Looks so good when you first wear it, but shrinks SO BAD after just one wash, even though I followed instructions and handwashed in cold water! Never had this happen with any of my other Aritizia sweaters, and now i'm out a lot of money and have a sweater, not a sweater dress :(
Don't buy unless you want to dry clean every time, or just never wash it I guess

I washed it a single time and it shrunk from a medium to size 00, while following care instructions. Money thrown away.

The knit of this material feels luxurious and I love the gold camel colour. I'm 5'7" and 120lbs. It's an oversize kind of look and the XS fits me perfectly. Looks great with leather leggings and boots. I've gotten so many compliments on it. I'm considering picking another colour up!

Bought this sweater dress for a trip/event in the Birch colour and love it. I'm typically a size XS but I am tall, I was afraid it would be too short so I sized up and the dress fit perfectly. Absolutely love it and can't wait to wear it again.

Good quality and warm. Ordered my usual size (medium) but it was very frumpy and sleeves too long so I exchanged for a small. Neck fits tighter but the rest of it looks better smaller.

Had to return. I bought the xxs, and I am 5’2 and it was overwhelmingly large. Nice color though!

Love the dress and quality but it is too oversized for a petite person (generally I am XX2)

I love this sweater dress, so comfortable. It’s stylish and versatile and good quality. A great staple, classic design. It has a more oversized fit, but I am tall and I appreciate the sleeve length.

I love this, but be very careful how you wash it. I washed one once and it turned into a sweater! I liked it enough that I re-purchased in 2 colours, but beware! I am pretty good with wool items and normally can avoid shrinkage, but make sure you dry clean this one! I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that you have to dry clean.

Very disappointed in this item given the price point. The under part of the sleeves were all balls of wool after just one wear.

This sweater is lovely, warm, and comfortable. I do find it quite delicate though whereby it can snag easily from long fingernails, jewelry, etc.
The size is larger than I thought it would be. I am 5'7, 115lbs, and where a xs from Aritzia. I should have purchased a 2xs to get a better form skimming fit suitable for the office. But for lounging it is perfect.

I’m 5’9/125lbs and a size small fit slightly oversized, it was perfect! The fabric is super soft and it looks great with anything

Love this sweater dress! It’s so versatile; dress up for work or down for dinner. I also have the Bianca sweater dress which is a more tailored fit, Montpellier is much looser fit through the body but the length on a small is still work friendly.

I love this dress. I've been looking a long time for a sweater dress that isn't too long and has some loosness. This dress hangs perfectly and is so cozy, it's like being in a blanket. I ordered an XXS and I'm 5ft0/100 lbs and it's loose from my body but not too loose.

It's so cozy! A little oversized as advertised, making it casual enough to wear any time during this pandemic.

I seriously contemplated this sweater dress for so long, like, does a sweater dress really need to be $170? Well yeah-it’s amazing, it’s soft, beautiful fabric, perfect length and looks great dressed up or down. I’m 5’4, 120 and a Small fits perfectly, with a bit of an oversized look.

Bought a size XL of this sweater dress for an oversized cozy look, love the fabric and overall fit, length is perfect with a pair of knee boots. Only thing I will say is I wish the hemline was a bit sturdier, something similar to the wider band on the sleeve cuffs would be good.

I love this piece!! I don't have many places to wear it atm, but the quality is fantastic. It is a smidge oversized, but a flattering oversized fit. I'm 190lbs (athletic build) and got a size large, it looks great, not boxy at all. Definitely size down if you want a slimmer fit.

The dress is beautiful but not worth $200. If you get the ivory color beware you will need to wear something underneath bc it’s see through and your gonna wanna wear something underneath regardless bc the wind/cold will go through the holes. I’m 5’2 117 lbs and I got xs (could have gotten away with the xxs) and it hit right at my knees, it looks nice once I added the belt, that helped shorten it on me. You honestly can find the same dress elsewhere for half the price. I still kept mine bc I had no time to shop for another. WARNING- I had on my charm bracelet when trying this on and it snagged alittle on the inside so be careful!!

this is nice. i am a true M and that's what i ordered. it's still oversized but nice. i'll pair mine with a bigger belt to give structure. the bottom part is a little loose which i don't love, but it's a nice staple. i bought black

I expected it being only 5ft, but it is a bit too baggy especially the arms that are really long (xxs hits just above the knees for me and I need to roll up the sleeves). However, this is definitely super comfy and I love it anyways!!
