market slit dress

I bought this dress last year in black, the year before in blue and this year in coral red. So many compliments on it! Love the stretch and fit. Ordered a small.. usually I am a medium but it does have a lot of stretch!

I managed to score this dress in the sage green shade before it sold out and very happy I did. It’s flattering, especially with the slit in front. Prefer this version over the one with pockets - it looks less “heavy” on the figure. I normally wear a size M or L in Aritzia dresses and I grabbed this in a S for a streamlined fit. The dress is quite stretchy so recommend sizing down at least one size. Would love to see this in a burgundy, navy or deep forest green shade!

This dress is absolutely beautiful.
It’s good quality, stylish and comfortable. It’s light and flowing for summer and you can still dress it up in the spring and fall with tights and high boots when it’s a little chilly. It’s stretchy so I can fit into a medium or large. The medium is a true midi length and the large sits right to my ankles. FYI I am 5”4 and 150 pounds.
I purchased the green sage colour. It’s such a pretty colour but no longer is available. I purchased a medium.

Cute stretchy dress for the summer. Love the split! I'm 5'3 and typically size 6-8 and ordered a M and it fits perfect.

I do really like it and needed a midi dress to wear to a wedding, however the dress isn’t made for us shorter girls. The dresses really should have a tall / short option.

This dress is so comfortable and flattering. I ordered one size down because I find the regular market dress runs a little big so thought this might too. One size down fit perfectly. I found the slit a little too high, but I just stitched half an inch or so at the top of the slit closed and it is perfect

The fabric is so soft and the dress is so flattering on. The Sage colour is beautiful and can be dressed up or down.

I bought this dress in Bitter Sage, it is unbelievably comfortable and is not see-through at all.
My only complaint is that being 5’2, it is basically a full length dress on me, which I thought it would look odd and was preparing myself to get it hemmed, but after trying it on with and without heels it does not look bad at all. I do wish it came in a petite for us short gals though.

I have this dress in 6 colours and absolutely love how versatile it is. You can dress it up or dress it down with a wide rage of toppers. It's also really flattering for those of us with large busts.

I was initially disappointed that it ran out in green. But the black is so classic and versatile. I found it doesn’t have alot of stretch in the bust and the medium was a bit tight on my 36 b chest. But I usually lose weight in the summer so it should end up being fine! Bought one for my mother too for mothers day!

This is just what I was looking for. Simple yet pretty and easy to wear. I would normally choose a medium but sized up to a large so it wasn’t clinging at all.

I was hesitant about ordering this dress at first as I am 5”1’ and thought it would be too long in both the torso arena and lengthwise! But was pleasantly surprised with the fit of this dress. It fits perfectly. Would consider buying in more colours!

I bought the light birch even if all the comments said it was see through. With skin tone underwear it will be just fine. Also, I’m normally a size small but they no longer had my size and comments were also saying that going a size under is ok since it’s a stretchy material. XS fits great. Now I can’t wait for warmer days to wear this cute dress!

This dress is amazing. The fabric is soft and flowy. I got a small and it fit amazing. I’m 5’7 and 130lbs. Loved it so much I bought it in 2 more colours. Would love it if it came in more muted colours!

This dress is a summer staple, and incredibly comfortable and versatile. The slit is a bit high, if you’re on the petite side, but the look is still classy. Definitely a good buy.

Im a 34DDD and I can not wear a bra with the dress without looking trashy. Highly recommend this dress. Great to dress up or down

I bought its black dress and it was absolutely beautiful so I also got this mint green one too. BUT SINCE THE COLOUR WAS SO LIGHT, MY UNDERWEAR WAS SEEN THROUGH, so I had to return the dress . I love the design but not light colours. If you wanna purchase it I recommend u to get dark colours.

Love the color (red), love the fit. I am usually XS, although I am larger in the bust area, so always battle between XS and S. I went with XS and it fit so well! Very comfortable and I can easily wear with a regular bra. Slit is flattering, and red color is not see through (some comments in other reviews stated the lighter colours can be a bit translucent on the skirt area).

I own the regular market dress, and the reviews are right, it’s a lot of material. But the market slit dress is has slightly less material and bulk and is actually perfect, simple and versatile. I want it in different colours now. I bought the black.

Lovely soft fabric with a nice stretch. Wrinkles come out easy with a steamer. The blue color is gorgeous and vibrant. True to size. (I’m 5’7 130 lbs 32D, ordered a small). The slit adds a little sex appeal without showing too much. Would recommend

So comfortable and cute. Fit is perfect. Good for throwing on anytime with flats or runners. I’m in between xs and s, I ordered xs, I could’ve gone either size as the fabric is stretchy and soft. Washes well.

I am 5’0 and 105lbs and it fits good and hits at right above my ankles

i purchased this in the light birch colour and it is incredibly see through, no matter what you would try underneath you see absolutely everything extremely disappointed in Aritzia lately, their quality is going down.

Fair warning that the 'Rainwash Green' is not as pictured on the website. It almost looked like a dingy grey (sorry Aritzia, I love your clothes but this colour is a miss for me). Also - the fabric is VERY see through.
But, on the positive side of things, the slit is not scandalous on my tall frame, and the fabric is nice (heavier material that won't fly up). Returning the rainwash green for a black version.

fit is nice and sculpts well on the body. very smooth, flowy, and lightweight. only issue is that i got the Light Birch colour and the bottom part is EXTREMELY see through. the bottom part has a more see-through material than the torso part which doesn't make sense. even if i wore white biker shorts inside, it would be extremely visible and just doesn't look good. so i will be returning it.

I bought this dress in 2 different colours, Rainwash Green and Black. It fits perfectly and is very flattering. But I found the skirt of the Rainwash Green to be very very see through. The skirt of the black was also shear, but not nearly as bad as the lighter colour purchased. Such a huge disappointment since I had such high hopes for the dress.

not as dressy as expected

I thought this dress was a no brainer due to all the great reviews, but the fit was so off for me in my regular size M that I had to return it. It looked really long on me and hit my shin at a really awkward length (5’6” tall). Also it just seemed so dreary with soo much extra material from the waist down that it looked like a sad black bag on me. Maybe if I got in it another colour other than black it would be cuter but now I know the dress isn’t really for me and I probably won’t order another.

First off, I looove Aritzia. The quality of the clothing they carry is really good. I’m 4’11” and this dress is more of a maxi, than a midi on me. The pros are it’s very stretchy and a rather heavy weight jersey fabric which is nice.

This dress fits tts, I’m 5’6 and 122 pounds the small fit perfectly. The dress is soft, comfortable and easy to dress up or wear casually. Love it, will get in another colour.

This dress is perfectly simple but elegant.. you can wear with any shoes or sleep on or sandals it’s nice on summer and comfortable texture love it❤️❤️❤️

I love the fit of this top of this dress. The material is so soft and comfortable and the slit in the skirt hits at a really nice spot. The only issue I have is the length. I am 5’2 with short legs and the dress is basically a maxi dress on me which is not really the vibe I was going for. If you’re taller or don’t care about where the bottom of the dress hits, this is a beautiful dress. The top does fit very true to size and it accommodates a larger chest

I am going to need this is every color! It is so flattering on this gal with curves. I took my usual medium and I love how it fits. The slit is perfect for a breezy and a little sultry vibe. If you're debating, get it!

I’m 5’5 and 125lbs and the small fit perfectly. It’s a great lightweight dress.

I got one in the colour Buoy, contemplating if the colour suited my skin tone. It’s a lovely colour, not as shiny as in the pictures but nice sky blue pastel. Fits perfectly! It’s perfect for when you want something breezy and cute. Hides away a bloat nicely. Accentuates yours waist. Can’t wait for the summer!!

One thing is as a petit girl(5'0), the straps are too long so it keeps falling. But you can always alter them

Love this dress. Fits so nicely and cinches you at the waist while flaring down. Super lightweight and comfortable and doesn't wrinkle - makes it perfect for travelling. Don't have to wear a bra.

The reviews on this dress are overwhelmingly good but it didn't work for me. I'm pretty tall (5'8, 32" inseam) and this dress looked awful on me. It was way too long and didn't look right - it either needs to be a lot shorter or a lot longer. I thought about having it hemmed but that would be too expensive for what it is. My own mother laughed when I tried it on and described it as matronly. Had to return. It was comfortable though, it feels like t-shirt material. I didn't have any issues with it being see through.

I love the dress. Material is soft and stretchy. I had gained a little bit of weight so decided to buy a medium thinking the small might be too form fitting. I should've stayed with my regular size small because the dress is sewn in a way that even if you are feeling a bit bloated it's not noticeable. Dress is very flattering and I love the slit. I bought the black color.

Such a flattering cut! Hugs everything you want to show off and hides the things you don't. Super soft and comfy, love the flowiness.

This material is more casual than formal. It is floaty and sexy with the leg opening; tight on the chest and loose elsewhere. If you get the classic colors, you can make it a little more versatile. I think the colorful ones are more summery, beach day

Bought the black one and loved so much I got it in light pink and blue. Have had lots of compliments on it. Fits perfectly and would say it’s true to size. If you have a bigger bust area, I would say go up a size so your boobs don’t squis out. 😀

This dress is so flattering. I feel confident, sexy, comfortable. I highly recommend. The Vin Gris colour comes off a little pink/beige/very light mauve in some lights. Also it can be a little see through, so wear your nude shapewear! I am a true size 20/XXL and the 2XL fit perfectly.
