Fun bright colour (vital pink). Good quality that keeps you warm. One star off because I’ve only worn it a couple times and it’s already pilling under the arms.

Shape is odd with a hem that is smaller than the body, which creates a bulbous fit. If it wasn’t final sale I would have returned it. Also a little small compared to the fit on the model shown in pink. I’ve purchased $30 sweaters on Amazon that were nicer.

I really love this sweater. Enough that I've bought 5 of them. It's luxuriously soft, it looks classy and the fit is perfection. Loose (size down if you want more fitted) and cozy. The problem is it does not wash well at all. Even following the instructions, washing in cold water on delicate and laying flat to dry, it never looks the same after washing, it shrinks in weird places and it's done after a few washes. It's a shame because it's a wonderful sweater but I had to stop buying them because it seems such a waste to spend so much (plus the waste for the environment!) on a sweater you'll only get a season out of.

Fit is perfect and a cozy knit

I love this sweater. I bought one last year but unfortunately I ruined it by washing it incorrectly. The one I purchased this year to replace the ruined one, feels a bit different in texture. Still a lovely wool sweater. Follow the washing instructions; they’re not kidding !

This sweater is incredible, until you wash it following the instructions *exactly*. I will admit I was one of the people reading the reviews thinking others were being dramatic or truly didn’t follow the instructions - but I can attest - washing it shrinks this sweater in the weirdest ways.

After one fry clean it shrunk and changed its look and texture. Not wearable.

The style and fit of this sweater is excellent and the colour is as- shown. There is a bit of pilling with the sweater material.

I had the same issue as others- it completely shrunk/changed after washing it in cold water, as instructed. I also found it had a strange smell after getting wet. Not worth it.

I’m so sad because I been wanting this sweater for years!!! It was ruin after the first wash. I washed it with cold water and air dried… there was a hole in it and an unpleasant smell from the sweater. :( it’s going to the trash :(((((

I only gave this 4 stars because I haven't washed it yet and some reviewers are saying there was a problem when they washed it. But great fit and gorgeous colour - botanical green. Lots of compliments and super cosy!

Love my Montpellier turtleneck sweater (pink, white & some orange knit) However, I would recommend to order one size bigger since it fits smaller then it’s original sizing.
I’ve always been very satisfied with all my sweaters bought from Aritzia in size L cause they all fitted perfectly, this is the first time that it’s a little snug and sleeves are slightly shorter ☹️

I loved this sweater up until I decided to wash it (a completely normal thing to do...) and it completely ruined it. I hand-washed it with cold water, reshaped it a bit when it was damp, and laid it out to dry. The wool is completely matted now, it is cropped, my arms barely fit through the sleeves, and it just is no longer the same sweater. Highly upsetting because I really loved the way it fit as well as the style and material. I have tried to pull the knitting apart to stretch it back out which has helped a bit, but it is nowhere close to what it used to be. Why sell a sweater you can't wash? It seems like many other people have had this issue, even with dry cleaning. Save yourself the money and get a different sweater! I am extremely disappointed.

I bought this sweater several years ago and loved it, but I rebought it this year and, after the very first wear, the sweater had already begun pilling badly. The yarn seems different and I don't expect the sweater to last long.

DO NOT BUY THIS SWEATER! I purchased this as a Christmas Gift. It shrunk to a child sized sweater. It is junk. It was washed by hand following instructions. Now out $168!!!

Looks great when you buy this sweater, but beware: wash it per instructions - it will shrink to a child's size sweater. Dry clean it - sweater shrinks a bit and looses its softness and drape. The sweater also pills and pills. Aritizia replaced the first sweater for me because it shrank which was kind but now that I had sweater dry cleaned, I see there is literally no way to clean the sweater. A salesperson kindly shared her technique - she never washes the sweater. Instead she "fresshens" it with perfume .

I was apprehensive about this sweater in cream but it as quickly become one of my favourite pieces to wear. Looks great with jeans or dresses up eighth a pleated skirt. The only complaint is the neck seems slightly larger in white than in black but it’s not too big a deal. It’s a great addition to my wardrobe

This sweater is absolutely beautiful at first look. I wore it three times and it started pilling so bad. First wash was in warm water by mistake and it shrunk to the size of a doll sweater. Very disappointing 😭

The color was great and vibrant, but the fit was boxy and the fabric not super soft. I ended up returning.

I’ve had my eye on this sweater for a while. I usually buy cashmere from Aritzia for warmth and comfort. This sweater delivered both and still was very flattering. I’d highly recommend it!

Loved the red colour and the softness of the sweater. I bought one last year and it fell apart. Baught a second one and wore it twice, hand wash, dry flat, and it's falling apart again. What a waste of my money. But I looked really good a couple of times :)

Lovely warm knitted sweater--very comfortable! Fit slightly larger than I expected for size S. I often wear a 10 or 12 American sizes or a 38 European so I wondered if I should order size M.. I am happy with it.

This is my second time purchasing one of these sweaters. I purchased one about 6-7 years ago and it is still going strong as a staple in my winter wardrobe. Decided to get a second one in a different colour since I love it so much. Buy it you won’t regret it! Just make sure to wash it with a special detergent for wool and be very gentle, it will last you for years!

Very easy to wash, keep is strengh. And it’s not to hot when you need to stay inside.👍

I am 5'6", 35-26-37, and I have two Montpellier sweaters. A few years ago, I ordered a black one in my TTS M. I like it, but the TTS fits more like the waist length style Aritzia has rather than a true comfy, effortlessly oversized knit sweater. I was constantly trying to pull it down because it felt cropped. When the botanical green hit stores late last year I contemplated purchasing it, but I didn't. When I saw it online again, I ended up buying it right away. This time, learning from the size issue, I ordered a large instead. It is SO MUCH BETTER. It fits more like the very popular ottoman slouchy tunic from another brand. If you want it to fit more "cozy", size up one size.
That being said, when I ordered the green one online, it came covered in both human and pet hair. I understand that stores are doing their best to ship quickly and locally, so I won't complain about it. I did, however, want to wash it immediately. I use The Laundress products on my nice pieces so, I handwashed this inside out with their wool and cashmere shampoo following a video on their YouTube channel. It came out beautifully! Soft, no pilling, no shrinking, and no more fuzz flying around. The sweater looks newer and better now than when I received it. The green colour is STUNNING - especially for brunettes.

I love wearing oversized sweatshirts, but wanted something appropriate to wear in an office that was good quality. The cut of the sweater makes it easy to dress up or down, while the wool is not itchy at all. I'm normally a medium, but they only had a small left in the colour I wanted. It's a little more fitted than I'd like, but oversized enough to be comfy and professional. If you want the same look as the models, stick with your usual size. If you want something more fitted, size down.
