the powder parka™ long

i am very petite and this fits perfectly from head to toe and not bulky

I love Aritzia parkas and have owned a few over the years. The Powder Parka is a great coat, but I find the range of motion with my arms is quite restrictive, which is odd because I haven't had this issue with other Aritzia parkas. I bought both XS and S, and the XS is too tight in the arms/chest area, but the S was too loose in the hip area. I ended up keeping the XS and hoping it will loosen even a bit.

Love this jacket, it fits pretty true to size, and the quality is really nice. I haven't worn it in cold weather yet, but it seems like it would be very warm. The length is also great, it hits right at my calf and the finish on the jacket is really nice.

Love the fit, very comfortable and perfect length I was looking for - longer then mid calf on me.

Love this jacket. It is super warm and cozy for cold Winter days. I love the zippers on the back for ease of walking. It is worth the $ and looks great on.

BEST purchase, kept me warm all winter and I'm always cold. Love that it's recycled down, and the colour is perfection. Also amazing how warm it is while still being streamlined.

love the coat! as warm as fur, vegan, animal friendly, waterproof, machine washable, looks great on a 5'3" frame...what more can I say?

I spent my birthday money on this parka and decided to also try on the long version; spending more time outdoors and not wanting to get cold, this fits the bill. Every time I wear it, I seriously feel fabulous as I get at least one compliment a day. Beautiful silhouette. Side zippers if you’re feeling your strides are inhibited by the length. Magnetic pockets are deep and softly lined. The merino wool cuffs keep any drafts from sneaking into the sleeves.

Absolutely LOVE this jacket!

Sooo stylish. I get lots of compliments whenever I wear this. This makes me look 5lbs less thanks to the great slimming design. Very warm. Keeps me dry and cozy in the rainy Vancouver weather.

Very warm, nice durable material like the Canada goose jackets. Very pleased with the front closure zipper & magnets.

The coat is beautiful, nice quality and fits well, but the zipper is hell to do up.

The fit, the fabric and the quality is top notch.
SO warm and comfy, it’s become my uniform and when I opt for a different coat, I’m often cold, I love the warmth around my legs.

This was my replacement parka for my 7 year old Bancroft parka from TNA that lost its wind and water proof ability. As soon as I put on the coat I immediately notice the difference. No cold wind was able to penetrate through the jacket, and I love how it covers over my knees because my legs gets very cold. But I would say the warmth level is about the same as the Bancroft when you first get it other than the extra length coverage. The fit is actually quite roomy for me(I have a slim body) so small fit me perfectly with extra room to layer. The sleeves were a tiny bit shorter than the Bancroft but just enough to cover all the important areas. I tested it out in the rain and it’s waterproof enough that I was not wet at all. Not sure how long the waterproof coating will last on this one. The parka is so warm I was sweating in -6 Celsius with sweater underneath. Only minor issue would be the zipper sometimes takes a few tries to get it right. So far I love the look, feel and quality!

I love this parka! I would’ve given it 5 stars but the zipper is a serious pain in the a**. I have a really hard time every time I have to zip it up

Love my purchase. Very comfortable and warm. I'm between a small and medium size, I purchased a medium and its very comfortable and roomy. Which is what I need. I'm 5'6 and the length is perfect, nice and sleek.

The coat is beautifully constructed. Materials are quality for the price. I purchased a medium based on reviews stating that the coat fit smaller than usual. I found medium to be slightly larger and have reordered the small. The coat was wide in hips and chest. I’m 5’5” and 125 lbs and wear s or m depending on the fit.

Fits a bit smaller than normal sizing, but it is a good slim and flattering fit. I also love the length because it keeps my legs warm!

Incredibly warm, made is manageable to be outside during our latest -30 to -45 cold snap. If I were to purchase again I would have picked the medium length and not the long. No issues with the long but I think a medium length would be more versatile for outdoor activities. Love the warmth of the pockets. The magnetic snaps are a brilliant addition. Worth every penny.

After reading the reviews, I decided to go for the Powder puff over the super puff. I am normally an XXS-XS in Aritzia coats but I went for a S for this one. The shoulders are indeed a tighter fit. If I had gotten the XS, it would've been a nicer looking fit but the shoulders would've been too tight. I'm 5'4 and 112lbs and it goes down to my mid shin. The hood is large and keeps me warm and I love the lined pockets. Some downsides to this coat are that it's very heavy and when I'm walking around, my legs definitely feel cold which is super disappointing (I wanted a really long coat to keep my legs warm). The zipper is also annoying and it takes me many tries to zip it up. The coat is warm but I'm not sure about it being able to withstand more than -20C like they claim it does.
Overall, the coat looks expensive and is cute but is heavy and isn't the warmest coat out there.

I am a medium in most brands and other Aritzia coats but this coat fit snug. I’m 5’6” and 160 lbs. I wore a hoodie and tights and felt tightly packed in and it was tough to comfortably sit down. The large would have been too big around the shoulders. Love the look and length and it felt warm but I had to return it because the sizing just didn’t work for me.

The parka is very warm. It was excellent sized pocket on the outside and a zippered breastpocket of excellent size. The two way zipper is great to allow for greater range of motion. Excellent Value for the price.

Ive never had a coat warm enough for a Canadian winter until now, I cannot recommend this coat enough

It’s very obviously a premium made coat! I am 5’-5”, 145lbs and ordered my normal size (medium) and it fit snug. It has great length, weight and style. I was surprised that it wasn’t as warm as I thought it was going to be though. The hood is very big and the fur trim is very nice but I personally felt it was a bit overwhelming. The fit is a little snug if you’re going to order your normal size, so choose appropriately if you plan to layer. The silhouette of the coat is however very flattering. Also its not “puffy” as a typical puffer coat, but that’s ok because the name implies Parka not puffer. Ultimately I ended up exchanging it for the Super Puff Long because the warmth was my main concern. Very pleased with the shipping speed and the exchange process/customer service. Super fast and convenient!

The Powder Parka-Long is beautiful and so well made, extremely warm and not too much bulk for warmth. The size is slightly smaller then I would have expected for a large, but love how its tapered to the body so I stayed with the size. The magnet exterior closings are magical and can work in a pinch if your on the go and cat zip up. The inside carrying straps are another hidden gem that I didn't know I needed! The coat is a bit heavy and the straps are great if your over heating and need a hands free break. I'm so thrilled with the jacket, price and how waterproof it is as well. A great find! I ditched the fur collar too fluffy and gets in the way for me, so appreciate that I could take it off.

Fit is great! I would normally wear 12 so glad a ordered XL as a L would be to snug.

Great quality warm winter coat!

I really liked this coat, but it was too long for me (I'm 5'3"). I ended up returning it and purchasing the mid-length version instead. Regardless, it's very well constructed, easy to get on and off (which is important for my issues with chronic pain), and very warm. The zipper is also easy to zip up without issues. Perfect for walking the dog. This length would be great if you don't want to wear snowpants and keep your legs warm. I love the soft material detail right by your face so the coat/zipper doesn't rub on your face when it's zipped up all the way.

I love the powder parka good workmanship not to heavy and very warm.I wore it out in -12 weather and I did not have any layers underneath and it was warm.The longer length is helpful too as keep your legs warm and toasty. Practical design!
Very warm winter jacket!

This is a great winter jacket! I wanted something that was longer, while still being practical & stylish. It keeps me super warm in icy, cold Canadian winters, topped with a great hood. It's definitely on the pricer side, but worth it for what you get.

I gave it 4 stars because the zipper is always a struggle! And I'd love to see Aritzia come out with more eco-friendly & cruelty-free options.

I live in Winnipeg so need a very warm jacket for those -20 C and colder days. This fits the bill. I am 140 lbs and 5’8” I ordered the medium and it is perfect. I can’t wear a big heavy sweater under it but I don’t need to this jacket keeps me so warm. Love that it has the backpack straps inside. I always find the armholes a bit tight in Artizia coats and I have slim arms but this one is tolerable. Not sure why they cut them the way they do?

I liked the look but the M was too tight across the chest to be practical. The L was way too big everywhere else, esp in the absence of a waist drawstring or way of cinching. Traded in for the superpuff long!

I had gone into the store to buy a Super Puff™ Long when my husband pointed to the Powder Parka™ and asked if it was the one I was there for. Seeing only size Mediums, I initially decided I wouldn't even bother trying it on but I grabbed one anyway and headed to the dressing rooms to try on a few Super Puffs and it. I wound up buying this one for the sleeker look and more heavy feel, with confidence the material would provide a bit more water resistance/proofing.

I was struck by the size, though - I'm usually a small but needed a medium in this (and an XXS in the Super Puff™ - talk about size discrepancies)!

The zipper is a little hard to do up at first but I think it's partially because it's so long. The jacket comes just above my ankles and zips right up to my chin for a super warm and cozy fit. Perfect for long dog walks on cold days!

It’s just a bit long if you are short. I am 5’2 and it’s basically down to my ankles. Not sure if I love that yet or not but it’s super warm and waterproof! The fur is great quality as well!

I am 5’5”, 117 lbs slim build and ordered an XS Powder Parka Long in Black. I was worried it would be too long but it is perfect length hitting about 2 inches below my knees. Absolutely no problem with zipper . Coat is very warm (Ottawa cold!) and is really well designed and made from superior quality materials. The hood with beautiful faux fur trim is extra warm and adjustable. Thick wool cuffs keep out any cold chills. The coat is beautifully shaped so you do NOT look like you are wearing a sleeping bag. This was a re-placement for a ten year old north face and it is superior in every way. Great looks, VERY warm, high quality....I should get at least ten years out of this one. Highly recommended!

Love this coat, I am 6 ft tall and it fits like a glove.

Warm, sleeves are nice & long, good is very cozy. The only improvement is that it’s not the puffiest - it feels a bit flat, for being a puffer style coat.

I like the coat a lot but there were a few issues. I am usually S or SX so I tired on the S. It fit perfectly everywhere except the chest was way too tight, I could barely move my upper body, and I don't have an overly large chest to begin with. I ended up with the M which fits in the chest but I wish it were snugger in the body for better warmth. Also the other complains about the zipper are correct. For a $400 coat, there should be a much better zipper without this kind of hassle. You have to clip and unclip it usually a few times before it clicks into place and can be zipped up. This definitely gets frustrating when you are in a rush!

I am very happy with the coat, have only worn 3 times. Seems well made but a little pricey. True to size and it tapers in at the waist a little more than the powder puff long. Would prefer it to be $50 less which is why I had not previously purchased one.

Best parka for these cold Canadian winters! It’s down to my ankles and definitely money well spent! I am 5’5 and bought the MEDIUM. Fits like a glove.
