Size 1 is too small and size 2 is too big

the coat is nice the fabric and quality is great and the label says 81% camel hair which was perfect, better than what's on the website, but the fit was disappointing. got a size 1 as it recommended but it was not a relaxed or oversized fit for me, or even a "tall" sized. the sleeves were a bit short, it was very fitted on me, and was not flattering at all and the length was exactly as the regular new slouch. I compared it to the new slouch and size 1 looked similar to what a xxs would look on. I exchanged for the new slouch and got a size small which was perfect. I am 5'8" and 55kg

The burnt cedar color is nice. But the fabric was too thin. And it feels cheap. Doesn’t lived up to the -20 c temperature. And i hot the tall size. size 1 im 5’2 for preference and 116 lbs. the sleeves were a bit short.

for reference I am 5’4” size xs/s, ordered the Size 1 in Tall. While the length and fit of the coat are great, the sleeves are so short!! I was surprised how short they were in the tall version, definetly not tall girl friendly, but the fit of the overall jacket is really nice!! i’ll have to try again in a different style

Do not order the Tall size 1 in Burnt Cedar color. Beside the sleeves being shorter than the regular sizing. The fabric of the Size 1 Burnt Cedar is much thinner than the other old sizing
colors remaining. I returned it and ordered the Coco Sand in Tall at the time and It was actually the Tall length and the Camel fabric is much more substantial and heavier than the Size 1 Burnt Cedar camel fabric. The Burnt Cedar fabric felt like the cheap felted quality in this batch. If you like the Burnt Cedar color get the New Recamel instead. The stock photo here for the Burnt Cedar is not accurate, the color of the actual coat is like faded and the fabric is so light comparing to the rela deal. Do not buy the Burnt Cedar in the numeric sizing. Go get the ReCamel.

So I felt as though I was taking a huge risk ordering this slouch in the Tall version at 5ft flat, but man, it turned out to be a fantastic length choice! - the Tall in size 1 hits me mid-calf, which is a great length IMO to visually elongate a petite body. The arms are juuuuust right for me (I actually wish that they were about half an inch to an inch longer) The sleeves hit me at about an inch higher than my knuckles. Coat hung on a hanger, I measured a sleeve and it’s about 22.5 inches long.

The slouch design (at least this older style) is for slender girlies though…and I am “curvy” with a 27 inch waist and 37.5 inch hips, so there is a small bulge in width when I button the coat up completely. Makes me think that a size 2 (at least for width) would have better reflected the straight-cut look of the slouch design, but there’s no telling whether or not the length or the shoulder fittings might have felt right with a size 2 regular or tall. There weren’t any 2s left when I ordered either haha! I am between 115 and 120 lbs btw, for reference.

Wearing this Tall 1 coat open is PERFECT though. I can fit a thick fleece lined sweater or a hoodie under there real comfortably that way. I got my Dark Firefox Brown color and she is teddy bear CUTE! Wish I could post a pic!

Sized down since I saw reviews that the coat is larger. I love the coat!

I was skeptical on purchasing it but I'm glad I bit the bullet. The Tall Length in Size 1 is actually not super long. It's just the right length if you want something oversized and long. It falls mid-lower calf. Don't sleep on this! Worth a purchase esp with the sale price. Im usually an XS for coats, under 100lbs.

This is the most beautiful coat Aritzia has ever made. I wish it was a little bit thicker

I’m short (5’3) but ordered tall version because it was on sale and I wanted brown colour one.
I was worried that it would be too long but it was just right size.
I'm happy with my purchase.

I’m usually a small so I sized down to an XS/1. I like the idea of the coat more than the coat itself, it just doesn’t do anything for me. No shape to it, it just hangs which some people may like but I definitely don’t - not flattering. Quality feels very nice though.

Dont miss on this jacket while it is on sale. I am 5’7 and 132 pounds got the tall version in size 1 - best decision ever!

This is such a beautiful, light and warm coat. The color is a light warm brown that compliments all skin type. I order this coat when it was on sale and i bought 1 size bigger than my usuall size (because of the price) - but it is worthing full price !!! I am considering to buy it and in a different color also! Good job Aritzia!

Amazing quality and well made coat!! I was hesitant to order online without trying it at first but when it arrived, I was amazed at how it fits on me. Perfect oversized coat!

It’s not for taller size I’m 5”3 and it’s perfect for me .

I go the caramel color and boy it's beautiful.
Downside is it wrinkles! Slouchy and oversized fit so you can layer. Makes my outfit look so put together and elevates casual Fridays. Warm and lux fabric

The quality of the fabric was great. And I love the colour. I’m usually a xs/small and buy things in tall sizes bc I’m about 5’11. The arms were literally like 4 inches too short. Coats overall body fit great, but sleeves were ridiculously short. Returned it.

I bought this coat in a size 1 a couple years ago. I’m 5’3” and 120 pounds (32B, waist 26”, hips 33”). I normally bounce between a size XS or Small on tops. It fits perfectly as pictured, slouchy but not overly oversized that it swallows me. I can comfortably wear a hoodie or a thick sweater underneath. The coat hits in middle between my knees and ankles. I get compliments all the time. This coat is perfect for the Fall and beginning of Winter in Boston. The coat is not thin, it has some weight on it.

Too short in the arms and did not fit well. Ordered a size 1. Returned

I bought a size 1 for friend who is 5'4" and slim. It fits very well. Nice design and color.

I have had this coat for 2 years now and I can't say enough good! But - watch what material you buy. This one is the 100% camel hair & I cannot rave enough about how lux it feels and looks. After two years of frequent wear, it looks good as new.
I live in Northern Canada and find this coat to be true to its -20 warmth rating.

I was very excited to purchase this coat especially to find it on sale. I ordered it online and as soon as I opened the box I was immediately disappointed. This jacket is so thin and the quality isn’t there. I’m shocked this jacket is listed at $400…. I paid $200 but the quality is at a $80 jacket I could purchase from Garage or Old Navy. This jacket will not keep you warm at -2 never mind -20. There is also 0 shape to it and fits terrible.
I’m 5’8, 140 lbs and I ordered a M which was sooooo big even thought it’s my usual size. I understand it is oversize and am fine with the “oversized” look, but it looks terrible. I have many jackets from Aritzia and love them, but this jacket is nothing but cheap disappointment. Save your money

Purchased a tall size and it was not tall at all. Length of the coat seemed longer, but arm length was a joke.

I’m 5’3”, 120lbs , athletic build , I ordered size 1. Was worried that being shorter this coat would look frumpy. It fits absolutely perfect on my smaller , boxy frame. Super comfortable with enough room to wear bulky sweater. My other coats from Aritzia are XS. Colour as pictured , nice quality.

I’m always cold and this coat is literally so so warm!!! And it also goes with everything! So easy to dress up or down

This is worth the price. It is a beautiful jacket and fits amazing.

I really wanted to love this coat. I ordered size 2 after trying on in-store in the deep camel colour and found it fit quite big and flared out oddly at the bottom. It looked too big on me and didn't feel or fit like a $400 coat in my opinion. I don't think sizing down would help either because then the buttons would look strained and I wouldn't be able to fit layers. I found it also to be very long on me in the regular size. Maybe a different size and length would help, but I'm not confident just because of the coat's shape. It's not worth the price in my opinion and I will be returning it unfortunately! I'm 5ft 6in and about 137 pounds, I normally wear a size S or XS.

I was so excited when I received this coat a few months ago. I wore it for the first time to a work event last month. When I got home, I noticed damages on one of the sleeves. It looks like there was a hole and it was stitched with white thread so it’s very noticeable. I’m devastated because it’s only going to get worse and it’s too late to return.

This jacket runs a bit larger than your normal size. The coat is a bit thin for a coat marketed for below freezing temp. My biggest negative is that there are no pockets.
There is a fake pocket, but cutting it open just leaves a hole into the satin and no pocket. Would not recommend for the price.

I am 5'4, 120 lbs, 35-25-35 measurements. I purchased the Dark FireFox Brown slouch coat in Tall, Size 1 because of the sale and it's the BEST purchase I've made! It fits perfectly. Sleeves hit me mid-palm, which hits me at the wrist when I bend my elbow (~21 inches from shoulder to sleeve). Length hits me mid-calf (~42 inches from shoulder to bottom). The colour is close to the photos - a dark chocolate with a very slight red hue. SO GORGEOUS! Material listed on the tag is different from the product description but for the better - 83% camel wool, 8% wool, 9% nylon. Definitely an older version. Absolutely recommend especially with the $120 discount right now!

im petite 5:03ft but xxs still huge.

I bought the Tall coco sand size 2 last year and the material was much thicker than the burnt cedar color that I received today. Also I noticed the sleeve length in Tall burnt cedar size 1 is much shorter than the coco sand in Tall. The online concierge measured theTall size 1 for me and the one I received was 3 inches shorter. The item number also matches the Tall size. When I buttoned up the coat the sleeve length hit 2 inches above my wrist bone, the model with the Tall burnt cedar on is taller than I am and the sleeve fits longer than I am which does not make sense. The color of the burnt cedar is also different, the one she is wearing is much richer while the one that I received was lighter and thinner material than the one she is wearing.
I am so disappointed with the quality of the material, the coat that I recieved was wrinkly, thin, no difference with the $50 polyster coat. It looks very cheap on the body. Nothing like the coco sand one that I bought last year. I saw some reviews mentioned that the new slouch coat (with sizing XS, S....)has poor quality that is why I ordered the old 1, 2,3. But I believed there are the good quality mixing with the newer bad quality in the old sizing 1,2,3 and it depends on the colors and the batch that you received.
My advice is to order it at full price a week before the annual sale happens. If you are happy with it order it again with the sale price and keep the good quality one and return the bad one in case you recieve the bad batch.

I love the coat so far, it fits so well and is so wam! I wore it in -15 degree weather and wasn’t cold. Also love that I can button up to my neck for extra warmth.

I absolutely adore this coat! I ordered it to wear this winter in Italy in the mountains. It was pretty warm while I was there, around 25-40 degrees Fahrenheit but I was super warm. The coat fits perfectly and is great quality and I'm so excited to keep wearing it! For reference, I am 5'6" and about 120 and I got a size 1 and regular length and its perfect!

I’ve wanted this jacket for two years and finally pulled the trigger. It is SO good. Heavier material, perfectly oversized. Debating getting in another color.

Truly love this coat! It keeps me warm & the length is perfect! Not too long not too short. The fit is great as well without it looking baggy. It did come with a seam that was not completely sewn up properly by the shoulder/collar area though…. But overall amazing!

I usually wear a size medium but for this one I ordered a small and it fit perfectly. I’m 115 lbs and 5.2. The material is great and makes u feel warm, very good for Canadian cold weather.

I ordered the coat in a size 1 and 2. I’m 5 3” and depending on how much pizza I eat I’m between 125-127. I would say the size 2 was just too overwhelming on my frame and the 1 fit better. Now these coats are narrow around the hips, and I’m pear shaped so the 1 is a tad bit snug. Love the quality and look of the coat, I ordered the deep brown and I can tell if I layer I’ll be super warm.

The material felt very substantial. Quality felt nice. However there was too much fabric in the back - specially upper back, which prevented the coat from hanging nicely, esp with any sort of arm/upper body movements. It made me look extra bulky and broad shouldered… Sadly returned.

Returned. I have a steadman from last year, beautiful fabric so warm. This years steadman is cheap materials and not warm at all. The coat itself looked like my zara coat. Really disappointed because i would have bought the old steadman in many colours but i wont waste my money on these cheap fabric ones

I got this coat last night and once I got home I tried it on, noticed a whole in the armpit that looked like just the stitches got undone at some point. I’m gonna return it, but I didn’t expect that for a 500$ coat. I’m not gonna get it again as it might happen with my new coat. So sad it turned out such a bad quality. I really liked it

Amazing amazing coat! Warm yet not super heavy feeling! Only downside if you are tall like me is that the sleeves are a bit short... if I wear a bulky sweater it sticks out the sleeves of the coat. But overall stunning and very fashionable!

Cozy and layerable! Deep pockets and the inner pocket is a nice touch! Ordered in short and it hits just below the knees for me (4’11”)

I’m 6’ and the sleeves of the long version were still way too short. My arms are long but not crazy long. The jacket was nice and the material felt good but the fit was not for anyone over 5’10” I’d say.

Size and fit is great but disappointed in materials blend. Why are all the slouch coats predominantly camel hair now?!?! Aritzia please bring back the heavier/warmer slouch--- this was the one I was hoping for.

Ordered a size 2 which is my size in pants and top. I went of what peoples reviews for sizing but for me it was way off. It was massive.
Also so confusing as there’s a Slouch coat and then a New slouch coat and the sizes for both are completely different.
This is so damn annoying on the Aritzia site.
So I ordered the “New slouch coat”
And I ordered the 2xs this time, which I did go and try in store to make sure.
So just waiting for it to be delivered now.
