the slouch™ coat

Fabric soft to touch and light.. good for everyday use.. it’s on a big size though.. would be great if it’s a little bit shorter..

I absolutely love my slouch coat. It is my first and I cannot wait to wear it for years. It is warm, roomy (I’m a layer girly), and so elegant looking. It goes with everything.

I ordered the THE SLOUCH™ COAT
Color: RUSTIQUE online. The online details has it listed at -20 but when I received it, it was labeled as -10. It also seems quite thin so probably wouldn’t keep you warm at -20. I did a live chat and they said because it was miss labeled they would allow me to have the payment returned to the original method of payment, even though it was final sale. When I got to the store to return it they would only give me a store credit. Because the message that was sent to the store was store credit or exchange only. Also I have no record of the live chat because they get deleted. Make sure you take screen shots. Just overall disappointing.

Nice coat, stylish and fits well. Except the defective sleeve. I returned to the store and reordered.
Received same defective item again. Very disapointed with the customer service. Will be asking for a refund, not gift card or store credit.

The classiest coat. Looks great with sweats or a dress, I love it!

The oversized coat looks nice. It feels a little scratchy but to be expected of wool. I had initially purchased the XL because my old Banana Republic L coat was too tight on me. The XL was huge, and the sleeves almost covered my fingertips. So I got the L which fit much better. The oversized fit is helpful if you wear a thick sweater because you'll have enough room inside.
Personally for me, the sleeve of the L coat could be 1 inch shorter. The pockets are super spacious but they could be moved up a little bit. I have to bend to the side a bit to get all the way to the bottom of the pocket. I am 5'6" so I got the regular fit.
In terms of warmth, the temperature in my area hit between 20-30 Fahrenheit, and the coat definitely kept me warm. The fact that it is so long, your legs are covered too.
You definitely have to be careful with the length of it, because I feel it touches the ground a lot when I am walking up the stairs.

This coat looks really nice, but the material wrinkles very easily and it looked disheveled within minutes of trying it on. The style is good, though. Definitely an oversized fit.

Purchased the slouch coat which would have been my fourth coat from artiza. This one got returned as the material was truly horrible( rough and attracted lots of lint)and the color was an off white which was very unflattering.

I tried this in-stores after getting the slouch coat back in 2022 but this quality does not compare to the one I have. The fabric feels stiff, not heavy to keep you warm enough, and it just feels poorly made. This wool fabric is seen on a lot of the coats they have which shows all of their quality has gone down and yet they want to charge more for it. This isn't worth $400-$450, Aritzia's quality and designs are going downhill these days unfortunately.

I had high hopes for this coat but the fabric really does not justify the price.

The coat was beautiful in store and when it first arrived. However it begun pilling after the second wear. I’ve now worn it 3 times and it already looks shabby. I have to pick off all the pulled pieces after wearing and even after that it still has a scruffy look. Unfortunate because it’s a spendy item. Not the quality you would expect.
Also it fits boxy and oversized which I like, but just keep that in mind if you’re wanting a bit more of a narrow fitted look. The fit makes it more casual.

Such a beautiful coat. Love the fit and the color. This is not the smooth wool but I prefer it this way. Looks more classy. Just my opinion :)

The fabric is very thin, not worth the full price. The material is fuzzy which is also prone to pilling. I do not recommend. Returned.

This is the second Slouch coat I bought, I also have it in brown. It’s very nice overall and both fit the same and fit comfortably even with a suit jacket or sweater underneath. The blue coat is a completely different fabric than the brown coat. The brown is a very soft fabric. The blue is stiff and uncomfortable fabric-wise.

I felt like it fit true to size. I initially tried on XS but was kind of small so switched it to S. But ended up returning it because the fit wasn’t what I wanted.

Love the dolman sleeves. However the material is so rough and itchy! Sadly I’ll have to return it.

I'm so confused by the negative reviews on this coat. I absolutely love mine. The material (aside from the lining and buttons) is 100% wool. The coat is more lightweight than I thought it would be, but it's really warm! It does run very large, I'm usually a size small and sized down to a 2XS and it fits perfectly. It's comfortable and looks great over casual or dressy outfits. No complaints here!

I Honestly have given Aritzia so many chances. Quality is nothing worth the price. It’s already looking worn out and has little cotton balls around it. This happens almost with all my Aritzia purchases. Disappointing because when you pay a high price you expect a great quality!

Had a mishap with my beloved original Slouch and was looking to replace it with the white version of the New Slouch. Talked to Concierge to ensure the fit and sizing is the same, she checked and said yes. Original Slouch I have is size 2 so I opted for a M. It's huge and in no way fits like the original Slouch so buyer beware. Second, the white coloured is advertised as good for up to -20, however the tag on the coat says up to -10. It's going back.

I size down to sx and it fits perfectly. The light blue colour is gorgeous.

I initially bought the New Slouch camel hair version, but for some reason I didn’t feel warm even in 40F weather, so I didn’t think was worth it and returned it. This version came out and I snagged the black one. I wish there was a brown color like the camel hair version, but I’d rather be warm and the black will be versatile! I can already tell it is much warmer than the camel hair, yet it’s still lightweight and malleable (similar to the camel hair in that regard). It is much more lightweight and malleable than the herringbone version and the melton cashmere version. The boucle texture gives it an elegant touch
