the effortless pant™ linen

I love the effortless pant so I purchased these in my normal size. I tried them on in store but only in the fitting room using my phone camera as a mirror since Aritzia still doesn't provide personal mirrors in each changeroom. They fit, looked good, great. Was about to go out that evening so I took the tags off, and my partner pointed out the linen pants are super see-through. This is with white underwear and a size that fit. Aritzia wont take the return because I took the tags off, yet they haven't been worn for longer than 5 minutes. Super disappointed when they are $150 pants. For that price, why are they see-through....? Please have a better return policy, or better quality clothing for that price-point.

I have two other pairs of effortless pants, and ordered the same size in the linen version, only to find that they are cut very differently. The rise is much too short to be high waisted, making them uncomfortable to sit down in. However, the length and width of the legs and waist is true to size, so sizing up would not solve the problem. Poor cutting from the manufacturer.

I love my other effortless pants and was so hopeful about the linen for summer.
One wash, with even more caution than the instructions on the pant, and it shrank in almost all directions (crotch tight, shorter leg etc.) Was disappointing, but continued to wear because I wanted to love them. Then the seams went - thread has unraveled, particularly from the hem.

I wish I could love the linen effortless, but I can't justify the cost for the quality I experienced.

Got the size 00 short and they were a bit too long on me but I just got them hemmed. They are so gorgeous ..

This pant is good for women that don't have an hour-glass figure. I am trim and wear a 10-12 in most brands but because I have a small waist this pant, like others, either fit in the hips and are large in the waist or fit in the waist and are small in the hips

Got the beige size 2 tall and they were a bit too long on me but I just got them hemmed. They are so gorgeous and flattering!! I'm so tired of jeans I'm so glad these are an option now!

I love the effortless pant and have several pairs in the different materials. These pleated pants don’t bunch in the crotch like other pleated pants tend to do and are very flattering. The linen is soft and not scratchy BUT they fit one size smaller than the other materials. I have three linen pairs in a size 6 but I’m always a 4 in the other materials (and in general). They don’t shrink much at all and I even put them in the dryer. The latest pair I bought were the short length and they perfect for flats. All my others are regular length and I had to hem them just a bit even to wear with heels. I’m 5’5 with shorter legs and longer torso.

Those are my first linen effortless pants , I do have so many pairs of the effortless and they are so comfortable. I am Size 4 on the regular effortless but I went for a size 6 on the linen and the fit is perfect. The colour is beautiful.

Recommend ordering a size up! Ordered a color that was on sale only to find out they are inconsistently sized and not the same as the non-linen version. This is disappointing that a supposedly quality product has different sizing.

Love everything about the linen pants other than the fact that they run small in the crotch/ waist area. I’m normally a size 4 and I have two different colors in the linen. When standing they fit like a glove but when I sit they get a little uncomfortable. If I buy another pair I’m going to size up

I bought the size 6 tall- I’m 5’11 and typically between a 4-6. The hip area was extremely tight and would barely zip up. Flattened & squished my butt, so unflattering. Bought on sale and now size 8 is sold out so I’m extremely disappointed in the fit. I’m not sure if sizing up would solve this problem?

The line material was very course and not good quality.

These linen pants are just what my wardrobe was missing. A stylish and comfortable pant that can be dressed up or down.

Interesting- I stumbled across these pants as I’d bought a pair for my 17 year old daughter to wear to her job interviews - and I borrowed them one day. I was surprised at how lovely they are to wear - I’d purchased the Frame trousers at 2x the price and they are not nearly as nice as these. I’d have purchased them earlier if I’d known!!

Ordered the 8 tall and it fit perfectly and was long enough (and I’m 6’0”). They are very flattering pants.

Had to size up one from my regular effortless size in the crepe material (0 to 2) but these are so flattering. Great if you have big thighs and small waist too. Get the tall if you’re 5ft 6-7 and want them to hit just above the ground.

Tried on size 6 in store and it fit me well but i needed it to be longer, ordered the same size but in tall and it was ridiculously tight and would not zip up. Really disappointed and had to return

I ordered size 4 tall. The fabric is very beautiful but they were long on me so I took them to the tailor.
She told me that they shrink after you wash them. So, I followed the washing directions and they shrunk 2-3 cm. BE CAREFUL AND I SUGGEST YOU TO DRY CLEAN ONLY. I am little upset that aritzia doesn’t warn you. I also bought the 4 regular but I am scared to wash them.

fits well, but I did not like the quality linen

aritzia sometimes makes me feel insane with their sizing never being the same from product to product

I just washed them in a normal cycle and they are now too small. Loved them tho

I originally purchased size 4 which was extremely tight, so ended up exchanging it for size 6 which is really roomy. The difference is more than one size up - which I didn’t mind since it’s a linen pants. Loose fit felt okay. But the length is also drastically longer than the previous size. Size 6 is so long. I am 5’-6” and there is probably another 4-5” of fabric.

Seemed to fit way smaller than the traditional effortless pant. Sitting in these (at a desk at work) would be very uncomfortable. Cute style and colors but this version didn’t seem as practical.

I loved the fit of these pants but the material feels kind of coarse. I can’t think of any season where this fabric would be comfortable.

Super comfortable, but a little tighter in the waist than usual.

I have 5 pairs of the effortless pants in a size 8. The linen pants in an 8 didn’t even close. They are ridiculously small compared to their other pants.

These pants are high quality, some linen pants are itchy and rough but these are soft, flowy and I love how high waisted they are.
My usual size in the regular effortless is 4 and I am a 4 in the linen color Cairo but I am a 6 in color Sandy Beige so just a heads up that sizes are inconsistent. I’ve tried dozens of linen pants and to me these are the best and totally worth the price.

Usually wear a size 2 in Aritzia but had to size up to 4 in these. Also purchased in short length since I’m 5’1” but they were still so long, will have to get them hemmed.

Beautiful and drapey fabric. I sized up so the pleats fell exactly the way I wanted. Usually a 4 and sized up to a 6. Both sizes fit but I preferred the way the pleats fell on the 6. A definite must have for summer!

Bought the linen pants cuz I have the normal effortless pants and they fit like a glove and are so perfect. Got my normal size in the linen and they were way too small I could barely zip them up. After reading review seemed that other people found them small too. Then bought the size up and the waist was way too big. Annoying that the sizing is so different from the normal effortless but I guess I just wasn’t meant to have the linen version.

The waist fits great, but they are very long. I’m 5’6 and the short version is still slightly too long.

I love these pants, I have them in black that I bought 2021. I purchased the Natural Ecru pants this year, wore them once and washed. I followed the care instructions on the label (in cold water and hung dry), but they shrunk so much they are now unwearable. I never had an issue with my previous pair, they are still in great shape after 2 years of wear and washing. It appears the material may be different, I'm not sure what changed over the past year or so. Really unfortunate since these pants are pricey and was hoping they could be a staple piece.

I am 5’2”. I have Aritzia pants in different styles in size 00, 0 and 2. The size 2 I bought when I was bigger and are now way too big. To be safe I went for 0. They turned out to be too tight around the waist. And even the short fitting was too long. I returned them and tried a size 2 which fitted more comfortably but were a little baggy. Fabric and quality looked great. Wished they fitted me better.

I needed work pants and purchased the effortless pant with regular fabric (Rich Mocha Brown) and linen (Ecru) in a size 2 short. I'm 5'3 with a 25in waist and a 36-37in hips. The effortless pant with regular fabric fit me well at a size 2 (but I will have to shorten the pants by an inch or two or fit with sneakers/flat shoes). The linen size, however, would not zip up. It buttoned fine, but my hips were too wide. I had to exchange it for a size 4 and it fits just as well as the normal fabric. The color Ecru is not see-through, but just to be safe, I only wear nude underwear with it. If you have a similar body type/measurements, i recommend sizing up!

When deciding on pants, I tried the agency pant and effortless pant. I preferred the way the effortless pant fit. But i did notice that this pant was longer than the agency even though i bought both in short.

These pants are great quality HOWEVER I’m usually a 6/8 so I sized up to an 8 and these pants still don’t fit. I have the regular effortless pants in a size 8 and those fit great but something about the linen version is not working for my body.

Such chic pants , made well, fit well. You’ll need a steamer tho as they get so wrinkled even tho I only hang them. You’ll also need to fold them on their pleat to keep their shape after washing.

I’ll start this by saying I love Aritzia trousers and have many different styles. I’m a true size 6. In these pants I had to size up to an 8 in the golden yellow color. I knew with Linen they would wrinkle but OMG, they are so wrinkled, I feel really unprofessional wearing them at work because I look so disheveled. Before wearing them, I tried to steam and iron. It helped a little but only for a short period of time. Not sure if I have a defective pair or if they are all this wrinkly. The color is gorgeous but I feel like this was a waste of money :(

I weigh 155lbs and have a big waist right now because I had a baby. My waist is anywhere from 31-35 inches. I was JUST able to get the size 12 closed. I ordered talk because I’m 5’9” and will have to hem these to wear with sandals as they are super long.

These pants are perfect for summer to be dressed up or down. Yes I should have listened to the other reviews when they said they fit small they fit small. I am a 6 in the other effortless pants (which I felt fit a bit small as I usually get a 4) So I purchased a 6 anyway and had to go back for an 8 they are just lightly smaller than the crepe material and linen can also shrink. I bought the linen shirt to match,

I have the regular effortless pants in a size 4 and they are a bit roomy around the waist. I purchased these in the same size and I could barely do them up. The vin gris colour has a very pink hue, unfortunately will be returning.

I sized up (from 4 to 6) and the fit is perfect in the waist/hips/thighs (I tried on the 4 in store and it was too tight in waist/hips) but the short is MUCH too long! Easily an extra three inches of fabric, and having to hem $150 pants seems a bit ridiculous to me. It's such a shame because otherwise the fabric is so gorgeous and the cut/pleating is really really nice, I would love to be able to keep them but I can't justify spending an additional amount of money on making them fit the way they should have from the beginning. Short should be for SHORT girlies

I normally wear size 0 or XS in Aritzia. I find the Effortless and Agency pant fit slightly smaller so I have to size up to Size 2. Not sure if the linen will stretch too much.

I bought and returned these! The short length is way too long (I’m 5”3), and despite people saying you should size up, I found that sizing up made them gigantic. Even at my normal size I just wasn’t into the fit. I had more luck with the carrot linen pant - better fit and perfect length, would recommend those instead.

I want these pants in every color, I was a little nervous to order my usual size because of all the reviews saying people needed to to size up, but I went with a 0 short and it’s perfect. I’m a 2-4 in lululemon and wear a 24s jean if that helps. The 0 is tight but in a good way, they are so flattering

Beautiful option for a structured linen pant that can be dressed up or down. The linen feels very nice, there isn’t too much fabric around the waist that you sometimes see with this style trouser.

Took one star off because the pants are quite long, even the short option remains 1-2inchs too long (5’3” for reference) so will need to be hemmed. The pants are also unlined so are mildly see through.

I have these pants in the regular polyester blend and love the way they fit and drape. I bought these in linen and could barely zip them up—same size! So sad!
