The Cocoon Long Coat - Virgin Wool Cashmere

I am into my third week of waiting for this jacket, last week customer service was able to track it to a fulfillment location where delivery drivers decided it wasn’t going out for delivery. No additional compensation or efforts were made to rectify the problem. As the title suggests I’m still waiting. Be better Aritzia.

Aritzia dresses are also either too short or too long...would like to see dress length just above the knee...classy and a wee bit sexy too

This was an addition to my Aritzia coat collection that I didn't really care for. It looked nice online and cozy but the style is not my preference. I prefer coats that have a split in the back to ones that don't. This one seemed boxy on my frame. I'll wear it but it's one of my least favorite. I think I ordered a medium as the sizing by Aritzia is wrong. The larger sizes always have me swimming in the coats so I typically size down. I would recommend if you're okay with the no split thing, otherwise, I think it will keep you warm during the winter months.

The cashmere/wool blend is luxurious. It seems warm, but I bought it during the summer sale, so I won't know how warm until winter rolls around. The way the collar sits up around the neck is incredibly chic and unique. The attention to detail in how the button slots are constructed is amazing!! Need I say more? This coat is absolutely stunning in black. I sized up to a large (usually 8/M; 10/M in aritzia) so that it can fit over a chunky sweater or sweats in the winter. I am 5'10 and the length hits midway between my knee and ankle. So this may be quite long on someone much shorter. I only wish the sleeves were a little longer. I really appreciate how stylish and well made aritzia's coats are. I purchased the slouch last winter and literally wore it everyday over any outfit. I am even more impressed with the cocoon. It's a must buy in my opinion, and I got it on sale!!! *chef's kiss*

Just received my cocoon long coat in grey today and I cannot be happier. Was nervous since it was a final sale piece but took a risk with XS after digesting everyone's review (thank you!). Quality and make of the jacket was impressive for the price point; love the little details e.g. buttons and hidden pocket in the lining. I tried it out wearing a basic tank and jeans; it had substantial space in between if I needed to layer. It looks a little squarish on me and styling it with a belt would definitely accentuate the waist line. Its length terminated a little after my knees while the sleeves terminated a little longer from my wrist. I am confident with her ability to keep me warm, in style

Love the cocoon coat. Got 3 of this style, 1mid length and 2 long. I like the long ones as it covers my neck and my whole body. It keeps me warm. Thanks Aritzia.

Great coat that can be easily dressed up or down. I bought the olive and it's darker slightly in person than in the photos. It has a very elegant line and fits perfectly with a thinner layer below. If you want this for thick sweaters I would recommend sizing up one for a more comfortable fit in the arms as the shoulders are on the narrower side. Very chic overall look, would definitely recommend.

This coat is stunning. The fabric is ultra luxe, the cut elegant and it's the perfect warmth. The sleeves are too long so I'm having it altered.

This is a beautiful coat. The quality and the fit are both very good - it's a little longer than I expected and hits just below the knee.

Didn't care for this coat one bit. Was too tight across the chest/shoulders, and loose around the waist and hip area, providing a weird, unflattering silhouette. I ended up grabbing the original Slouch and so glad I did!

This coat is beautiful! The fabric is amazing and I really love the look and feel of it. The only reason I took one star off is because the tag on the inside of the collar is already coming off. This is not a huge deal since it won’t be noticeable but for the price I would expect more - especially since I haven’t even worn it yet.
I am typically a small but ordered an XS based on the sizing recommendation provided by Aritzia. It fits me perfect!

I ordered a large olive wood and could not be happier! The size is true to size, but because of the incorrect reviews, in my opinion, I would have gone with the xl for sweaters on days for wearing coat open. The large fits beautifully but without ability to wear thicker sweaters.
Perfect in every way, buttons, neck, pockets, length.
I would reorder another color, but would size up.

For what I paid for this coat I was expecting it not to look cheap. I love the style of the coat but not the quality.

The coat was beautiful, really good quality and very warm. I bought a large as suggested by the sizing guide and it was very large on me. The models in the pictures must all be very tall, I expected to be just past the knee, but it ended up being much longer on me. I tried on the shorter coat in store and sized down and it looks more proportional. I really wanted to love this coat, but it was too long and too big.

The added length to this version of the Cocoon modernises the look while allowing one to be a little more streamlined for work. It's a great coat and very comfortable. I ordered a size bigger than my typical size for movement and sweater weather.

Do not be afraid to size down! I am usually a small and was so nervous about ordering an XS after reading the reviews, but everyone was right. The S would have been way too big on me. I can wear a thick sweater under the XS and it still fits great - not too tight or anything. The cocoon collar is also quite chic.

Love the modern style of this classic coat. Well made, flattering fit, beautiful camel color. I’m not sure how warm it will be but it looks good. I wish they made a coat that had a higher cashmere content for added warmth.

The fit is perfect as is the length. The coat is lighter in weight than I expected. I will get a chance this weekend to test the warmth of the coat at its lower range. I love the color.

I was so surprised at the weight and warmth of this item. Not quite a -30 kinda coat, (I’m over the boarder in Alberta!!) but definitely one that I shall be wearing a lot over the chillier months. I’ve dressed it up and down. It’s perfect for throwing on for a quick trip into the store or for that evening out. Love the hood, keeps you snuggled in. So happy that I ordered this after they came back into stock.

Loved that this coat has a bit of a different look and warmth rated for -20. Found the buttons hard to do up and didn't see the point in a coat I'd only wear open. Didn't see any reason it would be warmer than my Connor coat which is only rated for -10. Also found the dark grey colour rather flat and disappointing. My cousin ordered the lighter grey and that looked nicer. Ended up exchanging, planning to order another Connor in a different colour.

The coat looks nice, love the Heather White shade. However, it's larger and somewhat a looser-fit than I would have liked. Perks of online shopping!

Sturdy, beautiful coat! The fit is perfect.

I’m 5’1, 115 pounds. The quality of the product was nice but the sleeves and length is too long for someone who is petite. The XXS is more flattering length wise but starts getting tight. Also I know the oversized look is in but I’m not finding it too flattering. Exchanged it for another coat. I’m a first time Aritiza customer so I was scared and heard about employees being rude when exchanging/returning. I’m happy to say I faced no such problem and exchange was trouble free.

I have/loved the original length of this coat and I wanted something similar but longer in length like past my knees but not dragging to the ground. At 5ft I had a hard time finding my ideal length. Im so glad I found the long cocoon coat and its perfection! It fits me like a glove and the length is what I was looking for which falls around my calves area.

I love this coat oh so much. I did need to exchange for a size smaller because it seems to run a full size big. But it's just beautiful and the quality is excellent.

Coat is great! Little longer than what is pictured, but overall it’s a classic piece.

I’m 5’3” with larger shoulders, and the large fit me really well in the arm length but the shoulder were a little too snug. I upsides to the XL and the sleeves are a little long but nothing that can’t be altered. Now, to figure out which color to buy next.

I’m 5’7 and ordered size S and this coat was enormous on me. You’d have to be 5’10 to wear the long coat. The sleeves went to the ends of my hands and the length was way past my knees.

The color is perfect, the material is perfect, the length is perfect, the collard is perfect!

Beautiful colours and design. Classic and will last forever if you want it to. I’m typically a medium but this fits quite large but a small is a bit tight in the chest and shoulders. I bought both but don’t know which to keep. Either way, it’s a great piece to invest in.

Amazing quality with attention to detail - these are characteristics of Aritzia’s coats. Classic fit that will work for years ahead. I bought long version that can be used for either pants or skirts including midi length.
