The '90s Joni High Rise Loose 28L

I got these in the larger of my two sizes and they did not fit. The quality is good and color is as pictured but they just weren't the right size for me.

I didn't realize there was a difference until I received these, but they're MUCH smaller than the other Joni's. I have a pair that are some of my faves so I ordered these, but I can't get them on. Unfortunately they're final sale.

Despite being skinny with a small bum (5’9”, 112lbs) I’ve always struggled to find jeans that didn’t gap at the waist while also being long enough and fitting my hips. I bought these in my usual size 24. They were sliiightly tight at the hips at first, but after a few weeks they fit like a glove. Due to a lost checked luggage situation these ended up being the only pants I wore for approx 2 weeks so I can officially verify that they DO NOT stretch out very much at all, just a cm or so at tight spots. I think for my next pair I’m going to try sizing up to a 25 so I can eat pasta in them and tuck in sweaters. Really really amazing value, awesome non-stretch jeans if you can find a size that works for you

Got the same size as I do in Joni High Rise which was size 25 but it was super tight I couldnt even get it on. I want to get size 27 but of course every size is OOS.

do not go for these if you have any curves

I tried on this exact pair and the same size that I ordered of my friends but when they arrived they did not fit. It feels like it is a material issue. They are incredibly still, tight, and uncomfortable.

I ordered these hoping they would fit similar to the Agolde 90's pinch waste and they did not disappoint! I have never found a pair of jeans that fit so well. I find jeans shopping so discouraging and these jeans have renewed my faith. For reference, I have wider hips and thighs and a smaller waist and these jeans are perfect for my body type.

Please restock more of the sizes and colours Aritzia!

Got the 30L not 28L and they are the perfect length for me at 5’8. I absolutely love the fit of these. Tight top block and legs that aren’t too baggy but not tight. They are true to size based off size chart but one size up from the jean size I normally buy in Levi’s or other brands. Usually buy 29 tight and break them in, but the 29 in these weren’t going to close so I took 30. Love the high rise and button fly as well. Got the off white ones and would buy washed black too if they weren’t sold out. Loving the white with black boots and brown plaids for a winter white vibe.

The old Joni High Rise Loose (29L) in size 26 is my favorite pair of jeans! I was excited to try this "new" version for a little extra length, but I couldn't even start to button the size 26. I almost wonder if this is a production mistake. Like other reviewers have said, order 2-3 sizes up! I am 5'4", 120 lbs, and will probably need a size 29 for this to feel "loose."

Fabric is very stiff. I’m sorry didn’t like it at all.

I bought the original Joni jeans in white in a 23 and they fit me perfect. I assumed I would fit a 23 in the 90s Joni as well but they apparently made a “new Joni” so they are stiffer and smaller than the older 90s Joni. I got a 23 but now am sizing up to a 25 because it can’t fit over my butt since they are stiffer. Hopefully they won’t stretch out at the waist of size up so I will keep you all updated after a few wears and washes!

they fit wayy smaller, i have a pair in blue so i got the exact same size in black but the black ones did not fit, had to size up to a 27 waist when originally i thought i was 24

I have 2 other pairs of Joni jeans from last year, both 28L. The inseam was too short on them, even for 5’6 me. The sizing was way off. Shameless vanity sizing. I had to buy a size 23 and a size 24, depending on the look I was going for. I am 5’6, 26” waist, 37”hips with slim legs, full glutes. I have never been a size 23.
The NEW Joni jeans… WOW! Perfect. The size 26 is perfect for my 26” waist. Beautiful no stretch denim takes the shape of my glutes and hips within 20 minutes of wearing. I bought the 30L to get the appropriate length, in 4yr retro mid blue. So many compliments!!! The color is great, the button fly sits a lot flatter than other Denim Forum that I own. I wish Denim Forum had a zipper option on all their jeans, not just the Farrah though. I don’t buy Arlo straight anymore, they all bulge in the front.
I love the NEW Joni. Please make more colors available in the 30L, they are perfect!

The only pair of Denim Forum I didn't love.
I normally wear a size 26, purchased in both a size 26 and 27 as I wanted them quite loose. The 26 could barely get passed my knees, and even the 27 could barely make it over my bum (buttoning up was remotely possible). I'm also quite short (5'2) and have always purchased my jeans and trousers from Aritzia (in all brands, including Denim Forum) in the short length, and they've almost always still been about an inch or 2 too long on me. I purchased these in the 28L and they were almost cropped! It honestly seemed like they were sized properly and then shrunken in the wash or something. Will unfortunately have to return both pairs.

I have four pairs of the Joni 29L and purchased these in my usual size assuming they would fit the same. Jokes on me, they did not! They were 2 inches smaller in the waist, and throughout the hips. I compared it to a size-down pair of Joni's that I have and they were still smaller than that pair. Size up a size or two if you order these.
