the '80s comfy denim shirt

This shirt lives up to it's name! Comfy! It does run significantly larger but still has a great shape.

Fit is on the larger side. Had to go down a couple of sizes to get the right fit for my frame.

Love the soft, lived in denim in the shirt. Makes for the perfect layer or worn on its own. It’s definitely oversized. Bought to fit pregnant belly but will be wearing it postpartum too!

Super soft denim, perfectly oversized, perfectly faded (I got the 7 year wash). I am 63, and this shirt is very reminiscent of one I had in about 1989! My new uniform, love how it looks with darker cropped jeans or black tights, and can’t wait to wear it with white jeans. Couldn’t love it more!

First oversized, I got a size medium and it’s perfect.

The sizing tool told me I needed a 2XL, I’m normally anywhere from a M to an XL with Aritzia though, so I bought an XL. It was HUGE and I ended up exchanging it for a L, which gives me a perfectly oversized fit. The material has a nice weight and seems to be really good quality.

Size down - very oversized

I got an xs but looks like a large, too big and long on me.

I ordered this denim shirt in the colour "5 Yrs Kiss N Tell Bl" and its a great medium-wash denim. I found the fit ran slightly large so I sized down to a medium and it gives the perfect 'oversized' look that doesn't narrow at the hips like most shirts do. Can't wait to style!

Bought the black denim, i think I know own every colour, including the black linen. It’s a great shirt, the fit is flattering, love the dropped back, easy to wear as an overshirt or alone. Love it as a Canadian tuxedo outfit, denim on demin. I have it in both small and medium, and love the variety of a bit more over size and a bit more fitted. The shirt overall is a loose fit, so even the small is a comfortable loose fit

I own this shirt in 3 shades. So happy it’s finally available in a black denim. I purchased it as soon as I saw it. I purchased a size small because I like the oversized look. For reference I’m 5’9” 130lbs.

Please make a white denim one!

I went with a XL I normally wear an L but I really wanted to have that extra oversized look. I picked the lightest denim colour, the choice was perfect, soft blue, very happy with my selection as I had returned the colour up.

I like it but a lot larger then I anticipated. It doesnt quite look flattering buttoned up. I normally order a small or medium in tops. I ended up returning the M, and getting the S. The S again, is large. Looks good open though. The jean is a lot thicker then I anticipated. So I still like it but not for what I imagined ;)

Love the colour, texture and weight of this shirt. Love the length of the back. Wearing often.

The best denim shirt I've ever had—I bought it in two washes. It fits oversized, I sized down and it was still pretty roomy. The denim is SO SOFT, but not thin. I also love that it doesn't narrow in the hips like some oversized/long shirts.

I’m picky about denim shirts because I know it will be a wardrobe staple in my closet for many years. Love how many shades of blue are offered! I’m 5’4”, 115 lbs, usually wear an XS and went for the XXS. I know the oversized look is in, but this shirt is already over sized, long, roomy, and I don’t want to look like a hobo drowning in clothes. XXS is perfectly oversized for me… the shoulder are still slightly dropped for me and the sleeve length is perfect.

Love it! Normally I’m between an xs and a small - glad I went with the small as I like the ovrersized look.

Love the weight of the fabric and the softness of the material. 10/10 would recommend if you’re looking for a denim oversized shot that can still be tucked in or left out.

Very soft and a nice amount of oversized. I'm not sure I agree that you should size down. I followed the reviews initially and did this and it was a mistake. the smaller size was too tight in the shoulders and made it drape funny. I exchanged for my normal size small and it was perfectly oversized, not too much so. I think maybe really petite people should size down, but I'm 5'5 and sizing down did not work for my frame.

Perfect oversize denim shirt. The material isn’t stiff. Very comfy. The colour is that perfect jean colour, not too dark or light. Must have!

I bought this shirt in black. Unfortunately it was not a denim shirt at all. It was a cotton blend. I returned it.

I bought this in the lighter wash/almost white and it didn’t feel denim. It felt like a regular dress shirt for under a jacket. It’s a nice piece of clothing, but not what is marketed online as denim.

I typically wear an XL or 2XL in Aritzia tops/sizing and I exchanged in store for a L because I was swimming in both the 2XL and XL. The shirt is already oversized and I found the bigger you sized up the more room there was specifically around the shoulders/back that looked really unflattering. Definitely size down, it will still look oversized and fitted at the same time. The fabric is also great for summer as it isn't too heavy at all.

A classic wardrobe staple you can dress up or down and will have in your closet for years to come. The denim is just the right thickness. Not jean jacket thick but also definitely not a chambray shirt masquerading as a denim shirt. I typically wear a small or medium but went with small due to it's oversized look. I still have length to spare in the sleeves which is nice.

I love this shirt so much, I’ve worn it at least twice a week since I got it. It goes with all of my pants and looks so good layered with things under or over. I’m sure I’ll wear it until it falls apart. Hopefully many years from now.

Short and curvy, I comfortably live in a large. After reading the reviews I sized down to a medium, and still found myself drowning in it. The arms are also quite long. Oversized, but not in a cute way. Fabric also thicker than expected. Will be returning.
