pleated mini short

Hands down my favourite dressier shorts for the summer! I currently have it in scarab and black! They do fit slightly smaller in the waist, so I had to size up from a 6 to an 8. I had originally also bought the light birch, but had to return them since they were see-through.

It fits perfectly and looks great!

I bought the Light Birch in Size 2. They fit perfectly but are horrendous quality for the price. Completely transparent and no lining underneath. All you can see is a reverse U shape in the front because of the front pockets. The back also shows two big squares for the pockets. Very disappointing.

I love the fit of these - but the quality of the fabric is horrible! I purchased the white, and it is completely see through. I can see the outline of the pockets on the front and the back. I will be returning these.

They are very short. Going to return them soon and get longer pairs of shorts. They fit my waist great but then they become too short at the bottom.

I loveee the babaton pants in this style, so wanted to try the shorts! I personally sized up and glad that I did. I am also 5”9 and was worried about them being too short but they were a great length!

The sizing and fabric for this shorts are very inconsistent. I bought Kasha Tuape in size 8, Espace in size 10, and Halo pink in size 10. Kasha Tuape and Halo pink's use the same fabric, and Espace a different fabric. The fabric for Espace is much thicker in a good way, it feels much nicer than the other two. Halo pink size 10 is way too big, but Espace size 10 and Tasha Tuape size 8 feels the same and both fit well. I am so confused with Aritzia's sizing lately. In addition, I bought Babaton pleated shorts 3" in Poetic Pink 1~2 years ago, and really liked the fabric. Apparently they don't use the same fabric anymore. The Poetic pink pair I bought before was way nicer. That being said, I'm still keeping the Espace and Kasha Tuape, because I think they still look nicer than shorts from most other brands in similar price range.

The fit is too big on the waist

I bought the exact shorts in mocha brown in April in size 4 for a friend and I am typically a size 6. I read the reviews and decided to size up and got the cement blue in a size 8. When I got then in the mail they were extremely small and when measured against the size 4 they were around the same size, if not smaller than the size 4. Extremely inconsistent sizing and disappointing.

I listened to all the other reviews and sized up (I'm usually a 2) but the size 4 was way too big for me! I suggest buying these shorts in person so you know what size to get or order both sizes and just return one of them. Aritzia sizing has been super inconsistent lately. These shorts also felt very stiff compared to the Wilfred effortless shorts. Had to return them.

Waist runs small. Usually a 2 but would go up to a 4 in these shorts. Would also do the 5 in. if I were to purchase again since they’re really short in length even for someone petite.

I loved the look of these shorts, but if anyone is like me who wants to compare the Pleated 3" shorts vs Effortless 3", I would go for Effortless. I am returning my Pleated shorts.

Pleated shorts fit too big on me. I bought both 3" shorts in 00 and Effortless fit perfect, the Pleated shorts falls down a bit and when I put two shorts together, the waistband for Pleated shorts is wider. Why??? Aritzia you guys should be more consistent about sizing. How can two pairs of shorts in the same size have different waist band width??

Size up!!! I am a size 2 in a the pant but the waistband fits much tighter on the short which was very disappointing since I cannot return :( otherwise the colour and length is perfect.

I ordered two pairs from the sale a year or two ago and loved them so had to order another pair in a different color. I went one size up from my normal size and they fit nicely with some room. Love the crepe material and flow of these shorts.

was perfect but after one was (gentle cycle, flat dry) seams of the inside edges came undone. super disappointed because it seemed like great quality when i bought it. for $98 i expect so much more.

Amazing shorts! I could dress them up or down and they were so comfortable and flattering! However, after getting about 3 wears out of them, I decided to wash them and followed the directions to machine wash in cold and hang to drive. Yet, the hems completely unravelled along the legs. I plan on taking them to a tailor to get resewn but I shouldn't have to do that given the price of these shorts. Was super impressed initially but I recommend hand washing unless you want to be with unravelled shorts!

They’re really cute and flattering but you can see the pocket outlines which makes the shorts seem cheap quality.

These fit so well and are perfect for dressing up/down! Wear them almost every day!

Was super excited to get these shorts! I'm obsessed with how they fit and love that they can easily elevate any look. Just be cautious if purchasing in Espace because they are a little sheer!

Order a size up for more comfort: I’m normally a 6 but got an 8 in these and they’re much better

I love these dress shorts! I have thick thighs and big butt and find alot of dress shorts don’t look good on me. But these fit me perfectly from my small waist to thighs. The 3” is kinda short but your cheeks don’t hang out. True to size.

I ordered online during the clientele sale and the shipping was fast. However, upon examination the seams by the pockets had already unraveled, and this was before I had even cut off the price tag. I originally wanted to exchange online for the exact same pair, but it appears to be sold out (like many of Aritizia’s other items). If clothes arriving straight from the Aritzia warehouse have issues, it demonstrates poor quality control on Aritzia’s part. Disappointing as I now have to go through the hassle of paying for a tailor to fix a supposedly brand new pair of shorts or physically going to the Aritzia store to find something else to exchange.

Perfect length, fit so cute

I've debated between these shorts and the agency and ended up settling with this. Hands down the best shorts to pair with any top. Dressed up or dressed down. Super comfortable. I stuck to my normal size 00 and I will say it was a bit snug compared to their other shorts especially when sitting down. Will size up.

Absolutely love these shorts but it does fit small. I'm normally 8 in Aritzia bottoms and 6 in tops and dresses but had to get 10 and 12 for the pleats to sit nicely and avoid muffin tops. 12 is nice and flowy but I may need to get the waist tailored slightly. Compared to the effortless shorts theses are def better for big legged gals.

These shorts are a great material, length is good too. I would suggest to size up as they are a bit tight on the waist!

The material is light but not see through,
it's versatile and will last many years in my closet!

I love the look of these shorts. There were a couple loose threads after my first wear, but didn’t seem to be an issue. But after a single trip on the lightest wash cycle on my machine (and no dryer!) one of the seams broke and now they are not wearable. I read and followed the washing directions carefully.

Poor quality on the make of these shorts. Really disappointed.

Super cute to dress up or down, but definitely size up. I have a 26.5-27” waist with an athletic build, and i went with a size 8

Exactly what I was looking for - nice tailored shorts that aren't too long. I'm between 00 and 0 in aritzia for pants and ended up going with 0. I have other pants from aritzia that are 00 and are honestly even a bit looser than these 0s (these have almost no give/stretch) so I would definitely size up. Looks great with the square neck sculpt crop!

stylish, true to size

Pretty see through considering how much you’re spending on the item. Returned because I couldn’t justify the cost for what I was getting.

These shorts are not bad. They are comfortable and look dressy enough. Based on the pictures, I expected a slightly nicer, higher quality material. But overall I don't regret buying them.

Cute shorts and love the blue colour. My issue is that I purchased a size 6 based on the size chart but they were too tight at the waist (I ended up exchanging them for a size 8). I also got this model but in the 5" length in a size 6 and those fit perfectly so it seems to me that these run small.

As someone with a smaller waist and thicker thighs I am so happy with the fit of these!
