Runs big, stiff heavy material

I ordered this on final sale which might've been a mistake because I had never tried a sculpt knit dress before. The dress ran big which was surprising to me, and looked unflattering because there was excess fabric bunching above the butt. I also just couldn't get over the material because it was so thick and heavy that it was uncomfortable and hot just trying it on.
