I wanted this dress to work but there was so much fabric at the shoulders I looked like Travis Kelce! I got a size M which is my normal size, so not sure what is going on with the shoulder area.

I am 5'1", 123 lbs, and a small fits wonderfully.

I see in some of the reviews that people have washed this item and it ended up shrunken or damaged. This item is 100% wool. You have to wash it by hand with cool water or on a cold water delicate cycle with detergent made for wool, such as Woolite. Air dry it by laying it out flat. Do not wring the material.

I have already washed the item using the care instructions above and it washed just as well as it arrived.

I love this sweater dress. I first bought it in black back in October and have since also bought in the heathered birch colour (I wanted cream but my size was out of stock). It’s the perfect length on me, a few inches above my knee but not too short that I don’t feel I can bend over or wear it to work. The knit is so perfect- close enough that it’s durable and it has a nice weight so it just drapes and doesn’t cling. And the neck looks good worn folded or unfolded! I always wear something underneath it to avoid having to launder it but I just washed it in cold on a hand wash cycle and then lay flat to dry and it’s as good as new. Please make it again in more colours next year! Maybe a green or true red?

I'm 5'10 1/2 " and it wears an inch or so shorter than my finger tips. So if I sit or raise my arms at all it exposes by butt. I got it in a size small which I usually get for dresses at Aritzia. The dimensions other than length seem to be true to size.
I wear it with a skirt underneath.

I'm usually very satisfied with Aritzia's products. I'm already petite and short and XXS in aritzia always fits me like a glove. But this dress is not as pictured at all. I couldn't even pull it over my head. It's so short and the material is so stiff that it looks like a sweater shirt for 10 y/o.

I suspect the one that got sent to me is the wrong one that may have been shrunken due to the weather. Couldn't believe someone would not think twice before sending me this clearly defective "dress". Luckily, I ordered a whole bunch of other stuff from Aritzia with this shirt, and other than this unbelievable small dress that looks like a children shirt, I'm happy with all the others.

Wore on Christmas and was so cute falls slightly above the knee (5’5) and got an a size medium for maternity wear!

This dress is beautiful I wore it once and love it! After I hand washed it it completely changed the material and shrunk! It’s like a shirt now not a dress. I paid 150 dollars for this dress! I’m so upset.

Length of dress is long.
When I saw this dress on picture, it looks shorter and cute.
But actually it is longer than the picture shown on line.
But I’ll keep it. Maybe I’ll fix it shorter.

Love everything about this dress - the quality, the shape, the colour (espresso). It's sophisticated and versatile as the dress can be dressed up or worn more casually. I love wool and am thrilled that Aritzia offers many wool products. I give it a solid "5" star for all these reasons but also because I am 5'2" and the length is perfect for me hitting just above the knee. It is difficult to find knit dresses given my height as many are too long so I was ecstatic to have this lovely option. Thank you, Aritzia!

I absolutely loved this dress when I got it and wore it for the first time - it was a little loose which is exactly what I wanted and was a decent enough length that I could wear it to work. After 1 handwash, it shrunk so much that the sleeves were too short, neck felt like it was choking me, and is now mini-dress length. Im heartbroken about how much money I spent just to wear this once. Also, the pilling is ridiculous.

Soft and lovely color, however, the turtle neck seems to not hold its shape and now looks weird after washing a few times by hand.

Fits a bit loose which I wanted - like a cozy sweater dress

Cannot even HAND wash this sweater without the sweater totally falling apart. This sweater is NOT worth the investment. I only washed it by hand ONCE AND NOW IT IS COMPLETEY PILLED, STAINED AND RUINED!! I am a die hard aritizia customer but this makes me question why.

The Maclean dress is the more versatile thinner version of the Montpellier dress, which is heavy and warm and little itchier. I love the Maclean for right now under a coat in our eastern washington winter, but I think it could also be worn alone in the shoulder seasons. The drop shoulders are super flattering, the turtleneck looks effortless unfolded, the fabric is soft and cozy, and the drape is perfect. I was not sure I could pull off the heather basalt grey color with my golden undertones, but it looks great. I am 34-27-34, 5’4”, 115lb, and I bought the size S for a less fitted look that I am very happy with. It falls a few inches above my knees and looks sexyaf with above-the-knee boots.

I love the style, but it pilled after the first time I wore it. It pills every single time I wear it, so I use a sweater shaver to make it look OK again. I'm not sure what percentage of it is wool versus other materials, but it's not the same quality of older Aritzia wool sweater dresses like the Bianca. Please bring back the Bianca style and with the same material content!

I wanted to live this dress but it was too short (I’m 5’6 and got the XS). I bought it because it said it was just about knee length but it was way shorter. Had to return. The material was great though.

Love this dress - oversized fit but super flattering. I would love to get it in black, so hopefully it restocks! Perfect weight and isn’t itchy at all.

Love this dress for work, casual and going out settings. It's so comfortable and warm. I will be getting it in other colours. Fits true to size for an oversized fit. I'm 5'7 140 lbs and got a medium.

This dress is made up of a super thick wool and for my broad shoulders was not flattering at all.

Definitely size down. It’s super cute and a great addition to my fall wardrobe.

I had to return it, I'm 5'8'' and the small is way too short. Loved the color and fabric.

I've been on the hunt for a flattering/forgiving sweater dress, and the fit of this is amazing. I did size down like I typically do for Aritzia tops due to the oversized fit. Sadly I returned because I found the material itchy. Note that I do have sensitive skin and haven't been able to find Merino wool that's actually felt soft for me. I hope Aritzia makes this in a cotton material!

Very comfortable, soft , a bit oversized dress . My regular size is M and I got an S and it’s perfect . I got 2 dresses that’s how much I loved the fit and feel . It is very warm too . I am very happy with my purchases and I cannot wait to wear my dresses .

I usually take size M but the size S fit me best and still maintains the relaxed fit. Superior quality fabric and manufacturing. The packaging for shipping was very nice compared to other on line purchases I have made. I highly recommend Aritzia.
