THE perfect women's leather biker double rider jacket! Can even accommodate larger boobs.
I have been looking for months and finally found THE perfect double rider perfecto style jacket. It has all the authentic bells and whistles. I searched high and low, from all the top retailers known for their leather to luxury brands, and this jacket is by far the best quality product. I appreciate the attention to detail that truly sets it apart from the competition. My measurements are as follows my Chest is 34.5”, 34 DD/ 32 F bra size, my shoulders are 15”, my arm length is 23”, my waist 24”, and my hips are 33.4”. I am 115lbs. I have broader shoulders, large breasts and a small waist. I like to wear my jacket closed. The most important factor is I wanted a fit snug in the chest and, straight tailored in the waist as much as possible while closed. Typically, leather rider jackets are cut boxy and wide in the waist, so this was no easy task to find. And most of the other brands I tried got eliminated for that reason. When sized down, It is exactly what I wanted: a straight cut and shaped silhouette. Because it looks stunning closed, it looks good open as well. Even with a size down, I can wear snug to medium thick sweaters due to the roomy sleeves. The high set armholes allow for a better sleek fit and movement. The back is beautiful. It lays flat and smooth against my lower back. The lower shaped back yoke panel detail flatters your butt and makes it look bigger. I especially love the faux bi-swing back vent feature at the upper back. I wish it had featured back gussets around the back shoulder from the shoulder seam instead of a back-shoulder yolk; it would look even sleeker. I love the use of a single large rear panel without the use of excessive seams, looks expensive and shows quality cuts of leather was used. My only other slight critique is if you don’t size down, it looks very apparent that the sleeves look especially lose and wide. I wish they had tapered, slimmed the forearms ever so slightly. The arm length is perfect for a biker jacket and my long arms. It falls just above my wrist. I was looking for a biker jacket that fits above the hips, around 49 cm in length because it is the classic, most versatile length to go perfectly with high waisted bottoms. This means that the other cropped model of this jacket would look ridiculously cropped on my average height since this is already a technically cropped fit. All the pockets are large, spacious and lay flat. It has an inner pocket on the inside, nice touch. I like the leather slits the hides the main front zipper and side pockets. A tiny nitpick is that I wish they would cover more of the zipper a bit to give the front an overall even sleeker appeal. If you have a large chest like me, you will appreciate that the jacket has no breast pocket that would add unnecessary bulk. I Like the side vertical zipper pocket placement, its slimming and flattering. I like that the belt is attached and not added separately It adds to its tailored look when closed, adds visual punch matched with the double zipper, it’s convenient and makes it closer to the traditional styling of the original perfecto jacket, which I love. Belt loops without a belt look weird IMO. The belt fits securely exactly to my waist, and I don’t need any alteration to add holes. If you size up or take your actual size; however, you might need the belt to keep it tailored. If the belt bothers you still, you could always take it to a tailor and cut the belt off, it would look fine. With the jacket open, the belt makes it look badass without the hassle of losing the belt or keep adjusting the belt. The leather doesn’t have a prominent “washed” appearance; it has a subtle matte sheen. My favorite feature is the main front asymmetrical 2- way zipper on this jacket. It is a high end, bespoke detail, which make jackets more comfortable to wear when you’re sitting, as you can let the jacket out from the bottom. Custom branded zipper heads and functional snap buttons show that there was special attention made to use robust, heavy duty nickel hardware. Which is the most critical factor for any leather jacket as you can’t fake quality hardware or else it cheapens the look of the jacket. I believe the hardware will last on this jacket as long as the leather. The zippers on this jacket zip smoothly. Lastly, the hardware has a subtle shiny metal sheen that it is not too bright; it looks expensive. The lining and the fit, in my opinion, is the single most deciding factor that makes it beat competitors like Mackage and All Saints at this price range and allows it to compete with higher-end luxury models like the Saint Laurent L01. Mackage and All saints use polyester linings which are sweaty and don’t last. This jacket offers two different premium body and sleeve linings. The body is lined in breathable cotton and smooth, luxurious Bemberg cupro weave, which ensures a comfortable and flawless drape that molds to you. And the sleeves are lined in viscose so it will easily slip on over layers underneath.
