detour backpack

Purchased the black one. Used it once and there’s lint all over. Will need to lint roll, which shouldn’t be an expectation for a backpack. There are two pockets, the laptop sleeve and the main compartment. There are no smaller pockets, only small sleeves for water bottles and one at the front. They don’t zipper closed, so you can see everything inside and someone could just reach in a grab whatever they like.
If it weren’t for those two issues the bag would be really nice as the material is heavy duty and the hardware seems to be good quality.
It’s just unfortunate that the cotton attracts so much dust and there is no way to nicely organize your items.

I bought the bag after reading the reviews, but here is something in addition that I'd like to add:
1) the padded laptop compartment is not very thick, or cushy so I think I'll need a laptop sleeve.
2) the bag doesn't open around, it's just top and some leeway to the sides.
3) the main compartment is lack of internal pockets or small compartments for things. I wish I can be more organized instead of dumping everything in one deep pocket.
4) yea I can see you'll need a lint roller once a while.

I wouldn't think it's worth it if it's full price, but b/c it's on sale, the quality/cost seem acceptable.

Exactly what i was looking for in a backpack. It is a very strong material and has plenty of room for all my things. It had a padded laptop compartment that’s separate from the rest of the bag which is really handy. One thing i’ve noticed is that it sits a bit strange on my back but that might just be how I’m wearing it.

The separate padded laptop compartment means I can pull out my laptop without disturbing all my other stuff: great for going through airport security.
The side pockets are large enough for water bottles.
I love that the zipper goes around not just at the top so you can open it like a suitcase.

This is such a cute bag! It is large and fits anything I need to put inside, and the top straps make everything very secure. The laptop sleeve and separate side pockets are very convenient. The fabric looks nice but I have found that it collects lint and hair like no other! I have to lint roll my bag every few days. Overall a good purchase as long as you don't mind putting in a few extra minutes to keep it clean!
