catalyst dress

I bought this to wear as a vest, but it’s also super cute as a dress. As a dress however you’d have to wear a nude slip underneath as the other reviews have pointed out: the buttons gape when you sit down. It’s quite long, I’m 5’1 and it sits around my ankles.

The fit is quite large and button holes gape as some other reviewers pointed out. I recommend trying this on before buying it. Unfortunately I bought it online (we don't have a store in our region) on sale and it can't be returned or exchanged. Aritzia's return policy for sale items shouldn't apply to online purchases, especially when the sizing can vary so much between brands. Disappointed.

Just loved it. it fit great and look excellent on.

I got this dress in two different colours. The material is comfortable the only thing is the buttons pull especially towards the bottom so best to size up.

Do not buy this dress unless you are planning on wearing a slip underneath. When you’re sitting, all the gaps in between buttons split open easily.

Loved the knit and hang of this dress and planned to wear this for my family photoshoot but realized that the holes between the buttons would open if I kneeled down to my kids. Great if you're only planning on standing or sitting. It fits a little bit bigger but not super oversized.

I love this dress even though I did end up returning it. The dress fit perfect, form fitting but not tight. My issue with the dress was if you moved in a certain way or sat down the buttons gaped. If you had a slip underneath it would not be an issue but I just didn’t want to do that. It really is a beautiful dress the material is so soft and for a light fabric not sheer.

I ordered the emerald color in my usually size Medium and it fit nicely. Not too oversized, not too tight, this isn’t a style that’s meant to be too fitted. It hangs nicely and looks great on its own or layered with a fitted t shirt or long sleeve underneath. I have worn it on warmer and cooler days and been comfortable!
Only wish it wasn’t so long, or could be tailored to be shorter for petit ladies.

So cute and soft! Will order more once they make more colours. I get a lot of compliments on it. Definitely needs a slip under when you wear it as a dress. Real cute with a belt!
