This item definitely fits larger... I'm glad I read the reviews and sized down. An xsmall fits more like a medium/large! I'm usually a medium, so the xsmall is a perfect size with room to spare for sweaters. The jacket is super good quality. The shoulders are a tad off, however, I don't mind all that much. I got this jacket because I needed something professional and it does just that!

I always purchase bigger sizes to get the oversized look and I have to say I’m sad it’s summer because I can’t wear this yet. The shoulders are pretty big but you either like that look or you don’t and I do! It’s amazing and I couldn’t be happier that I own it!

Size down at least two sizes

Unfortunately the coat was way too big. Needed to size down at least 2 or 3 sizes.

Fits oversized and sloppy on the shoulders

You know those films set in NYC with the actresses wearing oversized coats that still look like they fit them well? This is THAT coat. Yes, it's oversized and fits larger, but it still follows your shape really beautifully. I'm normally a size S to M in tops, and I wear an XS in Babaton coats. The Stedman fits me well in XS (pretty close to the body), but in this style an XS is big enough so I can layer but still looks GOOD, doesn't hang. I love love love this coat, such a great deal on sale.

The coat was way too big. The shoulders hung half way down my arm. So disappointing.

Fantastic wool coat. Heavy and great quality fabric. Very warm but fits very large. I am normally a size small but xs would have definitely worked!

The quality of the coat is good. However, the sizing is large and unstructured.

I’m really happy with this coat. The colour is gorgeous, and the wool feels so soft and luxurious. The reviews before this complain of it fitting oversized, but I think that’s what makes it perfect! My only complaint is that it feels a little less structured towards the top, which can make the front sit a little strange. But overall it’s a lovey coat that I’m happy to have gotten such a good deal on.

Super high quality on a great sale! Feel like a million bucks when wearing it and tons of compliments, 3 people asked if they could feel my coat one day, lol. I was unsure but so glad I decided to purchase!

I purchased the Carolee coat in the rose pink colour. Absolutely love it! The fit is oversized but not sloppy. I’ve gotten so many compliments. My only complaint is that the tag stitched onto the sleeve left dents in the pile of the material when removed... kind of annoying. I don’t want marks on my brand new coat.

I ordered this coat looking for a nice menswear fit and it fit three times larger than expected. I shop at aritizia very regularly and am always a small or XS, and this jacket was insanely large! Would recommend sizing way down.

Huge pockets, super soft, love this vibe

Not a fan of the stitching on the collar. Makes it look unfinished/cheap. And it is not a cheap coat.

I’ve been looking for a wool coat for over six months, and this is by far the best. This coat is extremely soft and thick, with beautiful construction. The fit is dramatically oversized—on myself (5’2” with solid shoulders and an hourglass physique) the design hints at charmingly vintage, and the coat is just oversized enough to make the blazer-style a little more casual. I usually size up in Aritzia coats in order to accomodate sweaters beneath, but I ordered my usual size for this one. On my mother (5’1” with a petite, pear-shaped frame), it looks like an unflattering men’s coat. Perfectly warm for the average Vancouver winter, and a fantastic value fo the money.

The material is really nice and soft. Supposed to fit oversized which is what I wanted. The issue is in the shoulders. There is extra fabric that makes the shoulder area stick out so they look like extra pads. I went from a size small to xsmall and both coats had the same shoulder issue.
