academy silk blouse

I have no idea why this has “silk” in the name. Terrible quality. See through. Returning immediately.

I bought this blouse because I wanted something 100% silk and not synthetic, but this blouse was so thin and cheap feeling that I almost didn't believe it was really silk. The blouse also runs huge and awkwardly long.

I purchased during the archive sale and what I received was something that looked and felt like it was bought from shein... very disappointed!

Beautiful quality, silk looks amazing with everything. Was looking for a workhorse blouse to wear on dates and meetings for work. Unfortunately I need to online shop and got 2XL - thinking it would be big but since I’m 34G sometime buttons gap. I over estimated and this was way way too big I think a Medium would button up fine, but I’ll wait until I can shop in person to confirm.

This blouse is honestly one of my favourite one! I have it in almost every colour, it's dressy for work and light as well. Would wear this every day if I could! Goes with everything and fits like a glove!

Wish I sized up - was expecting a more oversized and relaxed fit like Aritzias other button ups. Also the fabric was not what I was expecting, it’s lighter and less shiny compared to their satin. That said will definitely still be an easy piece to wear! Probs would have exchanged for something else if it wasn’t final sale though.

Beautiful dress shirt and quality! Lightweight, can be dressed up or down. It was a little long on me (5 ft) so looked better tucked in. Love the sleeve length! Very oversized so I went with the xxs. I'm usually a size small in aritzia tops.

smooth silk with a sheen, not very see-through, overall a basic silk shirt. can look a bit formal. I prefer essential silk blouse more because essential is more matte and sheer for a casual look.

Beautiful and elegant shirt, my husband isi doesn’t comment on what o wear but when I wore this shirt her asked me where I got it from and he said it was beautiful

Will most likely buy in other colours as well

I ordered three differnt Babaton blouses, in extra large. Sometimes I might be an extra-large, but based on the fit, I thought a large would be fine. Welll...two of the blouses are GINORMOUS. Sleeves-hanging-below-my-fingers-large (I'm 5'8"). And the 3rd blouse - waaaay to small!! Can't-the-buttons-small. I had similar experience with pants I bought from Aritzia. Went one size up from my usual, and couldn't even get the pants over my butt.

Beware of Aritzia sizing.

Poor quality for the price

I wear this over tights ir pants with a v neck sweater on top and it looks professional and stylish starting a weekday at work and moves effortlessly to an evening out with the gang!

Absolutely love this. It fits great, and the fabric has a nice sheen yo it without feeling too delicate. I’d definitely buy in more colors

Your brand in store, the customer service was awful. The store is in Markvill Mall and your brand online customer service, both are worse! I used to buy the clothes get the size large for me, I would like to return, and your sales rejected, the attitude was worse. your online customer service required me pay the post fee! The other brand company refund and exchange are free! I won’t buy anything from your brand anymore! Worse customer service!

Material light colour different from pics

I have this same blouse in hot pink and it looks amazing. I tried the burgundy/purpleish color and it didn't look great. Risks of buying online. Easily returned it and will use the credit to try another color. This model looks great in many different ways, you can wear with a high waisted skirt of trousers and tuck it in, or leave it loose on top of pants. For a sexy look, wear over shorts (the very short kind) so you leave it to the imagination of others the possibility there is nothing underneath. Trust me.

I really wanted to love this shirt - it was so beautiful when I tried it on in-store. The fabric fell perfectly and it felt high-quality. Unfortunately, there are conflicting care instructions between the product tag and the website. The product tag says that this shirt can be hand-washed, whereas the website says dry clean only. I hand-washed this item in cold water with a special silk lotion, then gently rolled it in a microfiber towel to absorb any excess moisture and then hung it to dry (this is how I wash all of my silk items and it aligns with the care instructions on the tag). Once dried, I noticed that the fabric lost all of it's sheen and looked dull. It is no longer the beautiful shirt I tried on in the store. It was only after washing it when trying to return the item that I noticed that the website had completely different care instructions. This shirt is way too pricey to be trash after a single wash. I do not recommend this shirt at all. Only giving it two stars because it was beautiful once upon a time. Wish me luck in getting my money back!

Beautifully made. And Silk ahhhh. I tried the medium to see if I liked the look but was too big with arms so long. Small is my size and small I bought.
Aritzia is the best!

The shine was gone after I washed it by hand only once! Was disappointed given the high price I paid for this blouse.

I got mine in the grapevine color, size S. The color is beautiful and the drape of the fabric super flattering. I normally purchase size M in tops because I like them to have some room, so I bought the M. But this blouse is already roomy, so I returned and bought the size S, so I would recommend sizing down. I'm 160 cm tall and 55kg for reference.

Fits smaller than standardized sizing; quality lesser than I anticipated. Return policy is TRASH (two weeks, who can manage this?). Go to Revolve instead.

The shirt runs a little bit big, but not enough to return and exchange in my opinion. Pretty long but nice tucked in.

This blouse is rather boring, even in the bright pink color. The cut is very large, even in a 2xs. The material looks like a low grade silk. I returned it.

Very flowey nice material fits true to size

I’m typically a size 8 in tops and took a medium in this. Average torso, broad shoulders, 34D 153 lbs, 5’7” I purchased in black and it was everything I expected and more. The quality of the silk is exceptional. This top is comfortable, breathable, and fashionable. I get asked by people where I got it all the time and my friends have borrowed it. It travels exceptionally well and I don’t leave home without it. It’s one of the easiest shirts I own, when I want to look effortlessly cool, this is what I wear. The negative reviews are super shocking to me, actually. I came to purchase another in a different color and out of curiosity read the reviews and decided I needed to leave one. As others have mentioned, it is an oversize fit so size down if you don’t want that. However, it is so perfectly fitted that if you have broad shoulders or thicker arms sizing down might not be a good choice. Anyway, I highly recommend! It’s true to size.

Beautiful, soft silk at a good prices point. I find it fits true to size in the shoulder area but took one star off as I wish it was a little more fitted in the body.

Fit and fabric are great! Bought the black in store and ended up ordering the pink and dark green online. Highly recommend!

I got the Mazarine Blue colour and it is absolutely goregeous. The silk is a very lightweight crepe silk. The top fits a little bit oversized/relaxed, but still looks great tucked in or unbuttoned and opened.

Love this shirt, the colour is divine. I like the loose fit but the sleeves are cut too long, which necessitates rolling them up. First world problem.

Summer shirt. Does not hug. Nice longer length

I bought a size medium, I'm usually a medium and I wish I had bought a small (I'm also 6-months pregnant) so I would say size down. The black also has a bit of a sheen to it, which I don't love.

This is the perfect silk blouse. The material is so soft, not cheap looking at all. It's the perfect staple item to have in your closet. It would need to be dry cleaned due to the material. Definitely fits larger. I normally wear a Small, bought an XS and it still fits large.

Great fabric and colour, however the fit runs quite large - i bought what i normally do in terms of size. Not really a fan but depends what you’re looking for.

The sheerness can be nice but it wrinkles too easily. Oversized fit.
