the powder parka™ short

I bought this exact same Parka two years ago. Sadly, the new one didn't fit right. It was a little bit larger than the last one. I even measured them and the new one had longer sleeves.
I tried a smaller size but it was too tight.
Unfortunately I had to return it :(

Really nice jacket but needed a medium..my sizing was in between S and M since I am a wider back and larger chest.

The fabric and quality are great! The hood is huge though. I didn’t see this in the pictures online but the one side of the jacket has a piece with a different fabric on it - by the top of the zipper on the left side so if you were to have it fully zipped up, the soft side would be covering the zipper and not rubbing against your chin. It looks sort of weird when you don’t have it done up all the way because it doesn’t match the other side. True to size! I’m 5”5 and about 135lbs and wear a size S. Keeps you warm and covers your bum without being too heavy/suffocating like a longer parka is.

It keeps me warm and is really cute, i like the fit of the jacket a lot too. i’m 5’5 and it fits a little longer than i expected but i like it that way.

I’m in love with my new coat. It is super warm, and the quality is incredible. I bought it larger in case a sweater would be necessary-it’s all good.

It fits really well and its really warm too. Perfect for winter.

This coat is amazing. It’s SO warm and functional. I love the magnetic claps over the zipper and the option to remove the faux fur which is pretty bulky or add it on for the windy or really sunny days. The hood up is very warm, cuts the wind on your face and acts as a sun visor. My only problem is that I’m pear shaped. It’s hard to buy coats that sit on the hips. I followed the size guidelines and purchased online. For my hip size, I think the coat is too big. It doesn’t look fitted as it’s intended to. It’s huge in my torso, arm length, and chest. So that’s a downer. Purchasing online meant I had to risk sizing down and having it not fit my hips right. I bought an aritzia coat a few years ago that fit my hips but as I moved it would ride up. So tough call and my only issue. I cut the tags so I’m all in for this size now. Too bad.

I was extremely disappointed by this jacket. Everything about it is perfect but the armpit/shoulder area is sewn significantly tighter and makes it extremely uncomfortable. Its so tight and an added thick piece lines the inside armpit, it almost feels as though a wire was sewn in to hold the arms onto the coat. This coat would be a dream if it weren't for this but unfortunately sizing up the issue is still there and the rest of the coat then becomes way too large.

Fit is weird to say the least. Ordered a size medium and it fit in the torso but was too tight in the arms. I then ordered a size large and it was the exact opposite. The serene blue color is lovely but overall disappointed with purchase.

I recommend it. Like the colour.

It's definitely a slim fit but there is absolutely no room to layer if it gets colder - I suggest sizing up one. I live in Vancouver where the coldest it's been so far in 2021 is -2'C - these jackets are definitely not engineered for -30'C but it does the job where I live. The hood fur obscures your vision and gets in the eyes sometimes so I would also recommend taking that off. It's a good jacket, but nothing I felt excited about so I returned it.

The jacket is excellent quality, down filled with goose feathers. Extremely well constructed with great fit and style. Flap that covers zipper is magnetic.. Pretty cool. Only 2 downfalls I could find were that the armpits were a tiny bit to tight. When you stretch your arms out in front your notice how tight the armpits are on this coat but it's fine, still wearable and purchasable. The 2nd thing I noticed and didn't completely love was that the hood is oversized. I took the fur cuff of because it literally blocks your view when looking left and right. Still though.. Not a deal breaker or anything. It's a great jacket all in all. I bought it in black and It's cute, it's flattering and it's soooo warm!! Two thumbs up!

I have 2 from Aritzia and they are my best winter jackets! This is one of those 2.

Fit is great except for hood which is overly large impossible to have faux fur attached and actually see!

This coat is excellent quality and beautiful. But I ended up returning because it is very stiff (especially in the arms) and pretty heavy for an everyday coat. I got the super puff instead which I am so happy about because it is just as warm but it is so much lighter in weight and more comfortable.

Details are great, e.g., Key chain in chest pocket. Very warm and water proof. Great for our winter hiking. Blue color is lovely

I purchased a large size of this jacket and fits perfectly with any shirts or blouse but a little tight when you add a sweater so my husband got me to size XL by calling the store in Alberta and I returned mine. Excellent jacket and quality is amazingly good!!!

Love this jacket, would definitely recommend it. It is very warm, very comfortable and great quality. I am 5ft 8 inches and it fits just in line with my butt which is perfect for me and was exactly what I was looking for.

Jacket seems very well made. Some fails and some wins with this jacket. I read comments about the shoulders being tight and still bought it. I have thin arms and chest and I sized up so I thought it wouldn’t be and issue but it still is. When stretching both arms forward or to giving myself a hug the front seams where the arm sleeve meets the front of the shoulders digs into the armpits and is uncomfortable. Almost feels like a pinch. The jacket material is slightly loud. When walking the sound of the arms rubbing against the jacket it noticeable, like a “swishing” sound. I have had 2 friends ask “is that sound your jacket?” I’m not a fan of fur so I was glad the fur hook came off, however I wasn’t aware that there was also a random fur patch attached to the neck of the jacket that can not be removed. It’s just one square piece of faux fur. I suppose it’s so the jacket is soft when zipped al the way up to be gentle against the face but it looks unattractive and out of place and would match the jacket better if it was just a soft piece of fabric instead. I would rather that then fur in my mouth. This it my first time having a jacket with straps on the inside and I’m not a fan of them. I don’t snowboard or anything so I just end up getting tangled in them trying to take off the jacket. Or I don’t put it on right in a hurry and it bunches up weird on the jacket and I keep reaching down the jacket to try and straighten it. I’d sure if someone prefers the were their jacket hanging it would be nice. But I either have it on or off. I think I might end up cutting them off. Now onto the good. Good length, well made. And I must say this is absolutely the warmest jacket I have worn in my entire life! hands down!! I went out with just a tank top underneath in -30 in northern Canada and was completely comfortable. Also love the simplicity and streamline look of the jacket. It’s very figure flattering.

This item is tight in the shoulders unless the owner has small shoulders.

It is a little heavier than a Canada Goose but I like the short for being able to move around. And it’s very warm, perfect for -30 winters. I am a size 10/12 in most stores and a large fit well with room for a hoodie underneath. The xl was too big. The powder blue is very pretty and still neutral.

Wanted to love this but wierdly small in the shoulders. I ordered a large which fit everywhere except here it was waaay too tight and couldnt cross my arms. And i am a B cup so it wasnt that!

I got the short on in Taupe. I LOVE it. I live in Ottawa where it's constantly cold/rainy/windy/snowy, and this jacket has proven time and time again to be perfect for all of those unpredictable weather condition. The colour is classy, unqiue, and the hardshell is perfect . I have another TNA Bancroft long parka in black and this jacket is perfect when the long one is too intense.
The powder parka is incredibly windproof and it doesn't feel bulky at all.

Just for reference, I'm 5"2 and 105 lbs the small fit just right for me! The length hit just right under the bum and it's not too fit or too loose which is just how I like it.

Lovely waterproof jacket that will keep you warm and dry from Canadian winter. True to size, even though the jacket fits tighter around the shoulder area and isn't as slim fitting as I thought on the sides.

Fit was great, style was basic, quality was good and it is a super warm and well constructed jacket for sure. I returned it as I wanted something not so basic.

I love this jacket.. it's exactly what I was looking for. I'm short (5'1) and jacket covers my bum but isn't too long like some jackets which look silly on short people like me. I like the look of the hood with fur and the magnetic closures on front of jacket are great. Only issue for me was the sizing was a bit off. The Small fits me but it slightly big in the body of the jacket and sleeve length. X Small is too tight in the shoulders, but is a better fit everywhere else. I went with the Small because I don't like feeling too constricted. X Small is what I usually am though in clothes and what Aritzia recommended based on my measurements. For those between sizes, size up. For reference: I am 102 lbs, measurements are 33, 25, 36. Hope this helps someone in these days of having to order all our clothing online!

This jacket is very high quality. Great details like the magnetic closures on the zipper flap, shoulder straps which allow you carry the jacket on your shoulders hands free.
It fits well, it is comfortable and lightweight. Tried it outside once so far and it kept me perfectly warm. Love the look...not too puffy.

Great quality for the price point. Large hood which covers whole head and the short covers the bum just enough.

High quality, love the style. Runs a bit small, I usually wear an XS in tops & bottoms, glad I sized up. Overall very happy with this purchase.
