haven parka

This jacket has strange sizing; this medium Haven jacket is the same size as my small Community jacket. The arm areas are snug so can't wear a thick sweater. The waist area is tight too. Weird hat as everyone mentioned. I like the waterproof material though.

Love this coat super warm and cozy but runs slightly smaller than expected

I bought this for my daughter and she walks long distances on campus in it and stays very warm! Looks very stylish and functional so it’s a definite 5 star purchase

Hood is weird. But love the coat!

This parka is of great quality and incredibly warm! I'm 5'6, size 6 and got a medium since I wanted to wear thicker sweaters underneath. Its roomy and comfortable which is what I wanted. I also have a Bancroft parka in S and its much too tight with a sweater on. I agree the hood is completely too large and deep. It will come down over your face. To combat, I folded the fur part back and it seems to do the trick. I do believe the best part of TNA parkas are the hoods so I wouldn't remove the fur trim - it looks odd without it. Overall, very warm and I did not feel a thing when outside in -10deg weather. Waiting for it to get really cold to really test it but I'm sure it will perform well. Very happy with my purchase and got it on sale too!

Very comfortable!! The flap to protect the zipper closed by itself with the magnet system even for the pocket.

I love the quality and color. Fit is just meh I got a medium size and it’s a bit loose on the arm or wrist part and tight on the armpit area. Used to have one in xs and change to medium as I just had my baby.

It is very warm but it is heavy in weight. I will still recommend it to a friend

It fits really nicely but the hood is not meant to be up. So if you live in very cold climates like I do, do not expect to ever wear the hood up. However does seem warm to wear it down since it reaches near the ears. Nice fit throughout body. Normally a medium but large is better if you want to wear layers (again if you live somewhere cold)

It's a great parka but fits a tad smaller. I did not want to get large as it will be too long for me (like my Pearce Wool coat) but otherwise I love it! Keep me warm & toasty. It is def worth the bucks!

I love it. It’s super warm. Looks very chic yet good for every day. I do find that this fits smaller though. For reference, I’m normally a medium in most clothes, I wear a size 6 in jeans. I sized up, and I’m glad I did.

The quality of this coat is lovely and the details immaculate. That said... it is made for people without hips (which I guess isn’t super surprising when looking at the lack variation in body shape of the models they use on the website). I ordered a size up from normal and am very glad to have done so. The midsection roomy (good for winter sweaters), but the hip area seems to barely taper out at all and there’s absolutely no give (and no double zipper to open from the bottom when sitting). If I hadn’t ordered a size up it wouldn’t have worked at all. Again, zero complaints about quality or style, just be aware of your body type and choose accordingly!

I have had a few parkas from Aritzia over the years, always size xs/s.. This small does not even do up! Beautiful jacket, but order larger than usual.

I do love this coat it is so warm and comfy. The hood is really big, if I put it up it over hangs so much it basically covers my whole face so that’s not the most practical.

Bought this on sale and i must say this is byfar my best winter jacket purchase yet!!

I was worried I about the size after reading all the review but it’s definitely true to size. I love this jacket and I got it at such a great price too! The material is much light than my old parka which is almost 10 years old; hence the reason for buying this one. I’m hoping this one will last just as long as my last parka!

I have big hips, tna always fit right

This is a great jacket, fit super well and it is super warm. The only reason I gave it a four starts instead of five is because the zipper is pretty annoying. It often gets stuck at the bottom. Otherwise great jacket with an amazing fit.

The fit is great, however the hood is way to big. Once up it’s hard to function. You could carry your dog in it it’s so large!

Truly a great fit definitely true to sizeif you are looking to wear a bulkier sweater underneath and want to zip up I suggest sizing up

Runs small. I wear 3xs in super puff. This xs is a little tight. But it is high quality and stylish.

the fur on the hood fits weird and doesn’t look right, but it comes off and looks better without. The jacket is very warm, and comfortable. Zipper is a little sticky. Overall quality of the jacket itself is very good.

I really like this parka! I am 5’3”, 135 -140 lbs. I found the medium to be a perfect fit. I can wear a thick sweater underneath comfortably too. My only gripe with this jacket is that the hood is gigantic.

I sized up because of the reviews and found the sleeves a little too long and the shoulders were slightly bulky. Wore this hunting for a Christmas tree and kept me super warm. Had to remove the fur though, the hood is MASSIVE

this jacket is really nice and a perfect length! i’m 5’2 and it hits just above mid thigh. super warm, comfortable and affordable! the only thing is that the hood can be a little overwhelming because it’s so large and a deep but that’s useful during a snowstorm or windy day.

I love this coat! It is very well constructed and made with what seems like durable materials. The silhouette is very flattering and a great length. My other winter jacket from Aritzia is an XS and my spring jacket is an XXS so I’m glad I went in store to try it on. I’m 5’3 and 122 pounds.

TLDR: I bit the bullet and bought this coat at full price, and it has been the best decision I could have made this winter. If you live in a cold place, particularly one with any kind of precipitation during the fall, winter, or spring -- or you are just cold-sensitive and live somewhere milder -- you will not regret buying this jacket. I am cold sensitive, live in Boston, and commute each day via walking + bus + walking some more. I do all my errands via public transportation and walking, so I have put this coat to the test the last month or so, although I cannot yet speak to its longevity.

Warmth and "engineering": For the last 6 Boston winters, I had a long, puffy down coat from Eddie Bauer, around 600 fill, thinking that warmth and style were necessarily a trade-off. This coat proves that thought to be a misconception. While being more flattering, this coat is twice as warm and completely water-repellent/-proof, from my experience. The wide flap over the zipper helps block wind completely. An icy blast will tunnel down the street and only my face and mid-thighs-down will feel it; the rest of my body is completely impervious to wind thanks to this coat. The fleece-lined pockets are much warmer and deeper than the ones on my previous coat. The magnetic snaps over the front flap and the pockets are super satisfying, as well as functional; I don't have to worry about anything falling out of my pocket when I sit down in the coat, but there are no annoying and uncomfortable zippers cutting into my wrists when I have my hands in my pockets. The wrists are well insulated with the wool cuffs.

Style: The coat sophisticated and luxurious but subtle (no giant arm patch, ahem certain other brands...). I bought the "evening dove" color (it's on a different page on the website), which is the perfect balance of color and not standing out in a crowd.

Cons: The only downsides relate to the neck and hood. It might just be my proportions (I have a strangely long neck), but when I zip the coat to the top, I find that the neck is a bit tight and can easily get in a position where it is pressing slightly on my windpipe. I also find it difficult to wear a scarf with this coat, although the fluffy lining and the high collar render a scarf more or less unnecessary. Additionally, note that you cannot remove the hood entirely, just the faux fur.

Sizing: I am 5'7", 110 lbs, with much more torso (and neck) and consequently much less leg than is strictly proportional. I also have broader shoulders compared to the rest of my frame. I tried on an XS and a S in a store and bought the S, as it is longer, and the XS was far too small in the shoulders. There is room for multiple layers underneath, but even with a shirt, sweater, and fleece underneath, the coat miraculously does not let you look like a snowman. It sort of compresses the layers just enough to fit underneath and still flatter and be comfortable. The coat hits mid- to upper- thigh on me. My skirts and dresses for work tend to peak out the bottom. I guess my ideal coat would be slightly longer to fully cover skirts, but it's definitely long enough to keep my lap warm.

its an okay jacket, the canvas exterior is a nice touch. the colour i ordered it in is beautiful and it fits very well, but it is a heavy parka. i've had this jacket for 2 years now and last year the down started seeping through the seams at large amounts. it just isn't keeping me warm anymore.

Definitely fits smaller than your average parka. My old parka was a size small and I ordered a medium in this one and it was snugger than I anticipated. I love the magnetic snaps over the zipper. The fur is super soft but the hood is massive.

I've worn it for almost 4 months now and it keeps me warm in Toronto. Love the hood especially. However, down and feather keep coming out continuously. I just hope this parka can last 3 years..
