the new only coat

Originally I wasn’t a fan of this coat due to its slightly baggy fit, however my impression has changed. It’s a great coat! After sizing down (I’m normally a M and bought a S), the fit is slightly loose, but still drapes in a beautiful, feminine way. The material is top notch - the wool is super soft thanks to the cashmere, but also resistant (no signs of pilling at all despite several times of use). Overall it’s just a very easy, understatedly chic coat to wear either casually or when dressing up. I purchased this in the gorgeous forest green colour and it works so well with my fair skin tone. Now looking to buy in the navy and/or light heather grey. I agree with someone below who wrote this is the year to purchase the Only coat!

I got this in a light pink although I already have it in Saville, it’s such a nice colour! It is a loose fit, 173cm 56kg I probably would fit in XS but I like the baggier look.

I absolutely Love my coat. So much so that I bought another in a different color AND the cocoon coat too!

I'm 5'9 and a size medium fits well. I could've gone with small but I have broad shoulders and wanted comfy.

I sized down cause the small was a bit too oversized for my liking. It’s meant to big big but I felt I was swimming in it.

Fits larger, can wear a thick sweater underneath, but that's the look - an oversized look. I tried the Only Mid, but the oversize look actually didn't look right. Concierge was great to deal with

The coat that I recieved have some permanent crease marks on the fabric. (Not from the wrinkles) I returned it to the store.
Inspect your coat carefully for imperfections under the natural day light. I didn't notice it right away I was thinking the marks were the wrinkles when in fact they are not.

I tried on all the wool coats at Aritzia and debated for months; this coat is by far the softest wool (I guess the cashmere wool wins!) making it the coziest next to your skin. This coat is very oversized, I was drowning in my regular size. I found the 2XS fit perfect while still having that oversized feel. My normal size is XS in a super puff and S in most other clothing at Aritzia….so I recommend sizing down 1-2 sizes for the perfect look. I can’t recommend this coat enough, I picked it up in camel and I’m in love.

Good quality, nice fit! Definitely go a size down: I usually wear S, and I bought XS and still able to wear it with a warm sweater.

I had been debating on getting a long puffer or a wool coat and I'm so glad I went with this one! Super chic and dresses up any outfit. Definitely on the oversized end of the spectrum, so I sized down and I still have plenty of room under to layer

Great quality, but exchanged for one size smaller. Too bad the new size is on backorder for another month. I doubt I'll get to wear it much as the winter season will be nearly over.

Fabric is soft and luxurious, feels like a more expensive coat. Slightly over sized so I sized down for a more fitted silhouette.

I fell in love with this jacket as soon as I put it on (the grey color)!! STUNNING and so comfortable, I love that I can wear chunky sweaters comfortably underneath this coat.

Love the oversized fit. I’d recommend ordering your regular size if you want that look. If not, size down.

Amazing coat!!! Very warm and stylish

I was hoping this coat would work out for me, but it really didn't. The size M (which I normally wear for all Aritizia coats) was way too large for me - I was completely swimming in it. It was "baggy", in a bad way. One size smaller meant the sleeves were slightly too short. Perhaps this style is not meant for me, but I was overall disappointed in the coat, and much prefer the belted, classic feminine styles such as the Connor or Montage coats (which I own). Apart from my concerns with the fit of this coat, the quality did appear quite good. I prefer the wool on this coat over the camel hair version of the Slouch coat.

I have the launch jacket from aritizia, and was looking for a white wool coat for a long time. The only jacket is elegant, a bit oversized for a short person. Materials feels soft and high quality.

I'm 5'1" and 115 lbs. I wear the Cocoon coat in S and the old version of the Slouch in 1. I had to take this in XXS and I still have room to wear thick sweaters underneath. The regular sizing is NOT for petites. I took in the sleeves and the bottom quite a bit. Please make all of the colours in petite sizing!

Feels good. A bit too big on me even with XXS. Not that warm.

I previously had an older and shorter Only coat that I loved until I lost weight and had to part with it. I ordered this new one and love the fit! I sized down a full size and it’s still roomy enough to wear with bulkier sweaters this winter.

Great quality jacket and the cigar colour is a rich brown. I definitely see myself wearing this a lot, it's very versatile! It does run quite big, I'm usually a M on top and I ordered a small and could've sized down - but it looks great oversized as well. One star off because it came with a weird factory smell. I'm sure it'll air out in time but was a bit off-putting when I first started wearing it.

This coat feels buttery soft and like being wrapped in a blanket. It is oversized in the arms but this is a plus for me. No more squeezing into a winter coat when I'm wearing a blazer or thick sweater. In colder weather it needs to be worn with a scarf as the front of the coat is open but otherwise feels warm and cozy.

I have a TNA parka in XL and it's snug for me and I've tried on the wool coats before and XL is normally fine for me but this one is really big. Definitely size down!

My normal size in Aritzia is an M, but after reading the reviews I decided to size down to a S but even THAT looked massive on me so i ended up getting an XS which fits perfectly. Amazing quality and very warm. Just a little weird with the sizing.

After trying on all the wool coats Aritiza has to offer, and trying these on multiple times, I finally landed on the Only coat. It is the perfect middle ground between the Stedman and the Slouch. The Slouch is just too much coat for my smaller size, and the Stedman was a bit formal (in my opinion) for what I was looking for. I love this Only coat and it was well worth waiting and trying on everything before committing.

Just a classic, beautiful coat

I ended up purchasing an XS after reading a few of the reviews as I haven't had time to go into store to try on. Its perfectly oversized but not enough to make me look funny. For referenceI'm 5'6" 125lbs. I can wear a hoodie or sweater and still have a little extra room. Its a gorgeous jacket.

Too big- size down
I recognize it is meant to be oversized but it is really big. I exchanged it for a different model. It just wasn’t my style, even in the smaller size.

Love my coat ! It’s is warm, comfortable , generous in the sleeves , so I can wear a blazer or heavy sweater & not feel constricted .

Fits slightly larger I’m a m/L and bought the medium. Lovely wool/cashmere, perfect length. Love this coat

The coat is of the highest quality. Seems it would be great for the coldest temperatures. Unfortunately, I’m returning - very oversized. I’m usually a small or XS. I ordered an XS and I’m swimming in it.

Amazing Quality, Great Fit

I bought the new only coat in green. It’s definitely oversized and on days I’m wearing a thinner sweater, it shows. But my thicker sweaters fit comfortably on colder days. Warm, soft and beautifully constructed. Highly recommend! Size down one size for a more fitted look.

I have been wanting one of these coats for the past 3 winter seasons. I would always try it on in the store, along with models like the Cocoon and Slouch coats, but something always felt off for me considering the price. This is an expensive coat and you want it to fit just right. This year I finally went for it for a few reasons. The dropped shoulders are what sold me on it because I have very broad and bulky shoulders, so I can move my arms around and not get that pinching feeling in the armpit area. I also love the cleaner look this year without the visible stiching on the lapels. The Classic Camel colour is gorgeous. This coat is extremely soft and has a nicer texture than the Slouch in my opinion (depends on if you like the look and feeling of cashmere or camel hair). I am very sensitive to cashmere but there isn't so much in this one that I get itchy. It's just enough for the added softness. What I love most is how it looks so nice with sweaters underneath, particularly hoodies. It creates a really cute and cozy look. The oversized fit allows you to layer underneath like that. Me being 5'5, the coat hits the bottom of my calves, so it is quite long for an average height girl. I did try a small but ultimately I like to go bigger with these coats for layering purposes. I think this is definitely the year to get The Only Coat. It is perfection if you are looking for a classic long, oversized wool coat.

I am 5'7, 145 lbs and 15 weeks pregnant so I have somewhat of belly going on. After trying on in store I went with the XS and I had room for a bulky sweater underneath. I had originally purchased The Slouch, but it was way too oversized for me and bulky in a non flattering way. My husband said I looked like I put on 50 pounds LOL and I agreed! Exchanged in store for The Only and I am not disappointed. The fabric is also far more luxe looking than the Slouch! Both are great quality but this jacket is much more refined and classic.

This coat is gorgeous. I ordered it in black to start and to see how much I would wear it. It is a super versatile coat. It could be dressed up and down, unlike other styles. The top-tier material and a quality blend of cashmere and wool make the jacket super warm. I am super excited to wear this coat.
