slouch wool coat

I’m tall and slim, usually a size 4, however I chose the large for a bigger loose fit and very happy I did.

The cost is over sized. I love it.

Perfect camel colour - I still got my regular size since it has enough room to layer with and not lose it’s oversized shape. Only call out is that this jacket is super long, would probably tailor 3 inches off the length to hit my calves vs below it.

It’s very long and keeps me nice and warm during the freezing cold months. The camel colour is exactly what I wanted. I got a size larger because I wanted a bigger fit but it’s definitely already oversized enough to get your regular size.

Absolutely adore this coat. I've had my eye on this piece since last year and had to snatch it during the off season sale. It feels luxurious and is very light for its size. I'm around 156cm (5'1") at 63kg and I ordered a M. I'm a big fan of the oversize fit but it hits me at my ankle making me look like I'm drowning in fabric. The sleeves are also a tad long. May need to tailor it to bring the length to my mid-calf or slightly below. There's a lot of room in the sleeves for a very chunky hoodie and multiple layers. I could've easily sized down a size with room to spare but they were sold out at the time.

Would definitely recommend as an investment piece if you're looking for that timeless camel coat. For my petite women out there, if you can try it on in person that would be best! I would consider going a size down next time, but if you want the roominess just tailor the length. Very excited to test this out in Canadian fall and winter seasons!

I bought a military looking wool coat in XS from Babaton a few years back, and I've since gained a few pounds so I no longer fit into it. Considering that I will be wearing pretty thick clothes under this coat, I sized up. This coat is oversized and it looks that way! I have wide shoulders, so oversized clothes sometimes don't look...oversized on me. This one looks perfect! The caramel colour makes my skin tone look so radiant!

Absolutely everything I expected and more. Super soft and warm, well made and heavy. Perfect length for the actual coat and arms. Perfect timeless piece.

I love this jacket with all my heart. I bought the cocoa sand since I wear so much black, and it is my favourite outerwear piece I own. Knowing this now, I would buy the black if it were in stock!! Highly recommend. I bought it in January and would either wear this jacket or my Duvet Coat -- having the two styles outfitted me for the variety of winter we have in Canada. I bought an XS on advice from the sales staff, and it fits, though sometimes I wish I bought a S for that extra oversize. So, buy a size down if you want it to be polished, buy true to size if you want a true slouch feel.

Literally the most beautiful coat! It’s so warm and cozy. It’s slightly large so you could definitely layer underneath it for those super cold days. Worth the money because I know it’ll last forever. Huge pockets! Didn’t know whether to cut them open (which could make the shape a bit more relaxed) or not but I did because who doesn’t want giant pockets?!

i wanted this coat for so long and i got it in cocoa sand in january! i wanted to wait for winter to be over to see how i feel but i absolutely love it! it's slightly oversized so i can comfortably wear sweaters underneath without feeling swallowed up in fabric. it's great quality, and very warm. i wouldn't wear it in super super cold weather but it keeps me pretty warm :) an investment piece for sure, but definitely worth it.

I had been looking at this jacket for a while and I’m glad I bought it. The fabric is so pretty almost velvety. Super warm. I’m fairly tall with long arms and legs and the sleeve length is perfect and the jacket hits me around mid-calf.
I love that it’s oversized so I can wear chunky sweaters and it doesn’t feel or look tight. I know I’ll have this for a very long time.

Great coat! Its oversized but still looks polished. I ordered a size down and there’s still enough room for a sweater. The cocoa sand colour is a very versatile neutral.

I own a few coats from aritzia and would say this is one of my favourite so easy to pull on over anything including chunky sweaters a perfect upgrade to and outfit. Also warm which is most important

I do like this coat . It is comfortable and warm, and the colour is pretty . The only thing that I am disappointing is no outside pockets , my hands have nowhere to put and feel frozen when the weather gets cold.

This is DEFINITELY an investment piece that you have to have in your wardrobe. This is the first time I’ve spent so much on a coat but I don’t regret it one bit. It’s absolutely a classic piece. I ordered an XS. I’m usually an S or M in my tops, with S being true to size for me and M if I want a more oversized look. I’m 5’1” at 115 lbs. The XS is perfect for a slight oversized look with enough room to wear a thick sweater underneath or a hoodie. Overall, I’d say your typical size in clothing would be a size down in this coat. So if you’re usually an M, go for the S.

I had my eye on this coat for a while, especially since aritzia has been advertising it a lot on their instagram page. I really wanted a wool coat but I found that I couldn't wear a sweater comfortably underneath them even if it wasn't a thick sweater. The style of this coat is perfect for people who like layering. I'm also the kind of person that doesn't look put together on my days off (baggy sweats and sometimes even pajamas bc this coat almost covers my whole outfit anyway) and this coat makes me look put together no matter what I'm wearing and I've even received compliments from strangers about my coat. Some of my friends advised against me buying it because "you can find something similar for a lot cheaper." NO! YOU! CANT!!! I've worn this coat in 16 degree weather with minimal layers underneath and I was warm as can be. It is not only stylish, it's also the warmest coat I own and can withstand harsh NY winters. I credit that to the fact that it's fully lined and made with camel hair. Did I mention it even has an inner pocket! For reference, I'm 5'0" 106 lbs and the XXS was still kind of oversized on me. It fit a little bigger on me than it does the model. The sleeves come up to my knuckles and the length was mid calf, so if they had an XXXS, I would have gotten that. Just know if you're my size, you don't have the option to size down and would have to get it tailored if you don't like the oversized look. However, I am still very pleased with the coat and would highly recommend it.

I know it's a loaded title, but I've worn this coat so much already even though only purchasing it a couple of weeks ago. I love the ability to dress up or down the coat and it's been great for the chilly weather! It's beautiful, chic, and so worth it. Slightly oversized and long for me, but I like oversized fits in general so it works well for my look! Really want to buy it in other colors but not sure the California weather permits me to have that many heavy coats.

I ordered this coat during the Black Fiveday sale. This coat is just as gorgeous in person! I ordered it in "Deep Camel" and it's just so beautiful. I'm typically a medium in most coats I have from Artizia, so I ordered my usual size. It's perfectly slouchy where I can wear it with a tshirt as well as a thicker sweater. It does run long. I'm only 5'3", but I've tried it on with flat sneakers, heeled boots, and heels, and all the outfits still worked! The end of the coat hits approx. 4-5" above my ankle.

Truly an oversized jacket, beautiful quality, soft wool, fully lined. However, since I'm 5'3, and this jacket is so oversized, (I got my regular size S), it was a bit too much on my frame and will be returning. I probably could have gotten an XS.

I initially tried on the lighter camel colour (cocoa sand) in store but my SA recommended me trying on the darker colour (deep camel) and she was right. The darker brown suits my wardrobe and skin tone much better and it is so warm. I can wear scrubs under, throw this coat on and still look chic and presentable. Love that there's an inside pocket and the outside pockets are deep and lined so that nothing is going to fall out when you sit down. The sleeves are fairly roomy so I can wear my balloon sleeves/ bat sleeves/ oversized tops under with no problem and I sized down for this coat. For reference I am 166cm tall and weighs 110lbs, normally a size 2 or 0.

Worth it; already thinking of purchasing another color after just receiving the camel in the mail. I'm from the U.S. and Aritizia is a fairly new company to me thus I was hesitant on purchase. But the quality is so good, plush fabric and soft to the touch. It is fully lined; yet the jacket's weight doesn't feel overbearing on my shoulder. Closer to ankle length on a petite person, and could possibly size down 2 sizes if you want it closer to the body.

I was looking for a full-length maxi camel colored coat, and this was exactly it. It fits perfectly slouchy. I haven't worn it yet in the cold, but it feels like it will be pretty warm layered over a sweater, of course. It is also very lightweight, which I love. Great buy, especially on sale, for this quality of fabric and the fit.

Let's be real, this coat for us regular people is an investment piece. I've been mulling over this purchase for more than a couple months now since I've been on the hunt for the perfect camel coat. I've looked high end, low end, and everything in between.

Back story: a long time ago, I purchased the first version of the classic wool-cashmere "Wilfred Cocoon Coat" in its original silhouette with the dolman sleeves. It was a lot more oversized back then, before they added the shoulder seams to that design. I wore that coat for at least 5+ years, until I realized I could no longer wear it since I got older and gained some weight. So ever since I said goodbye to my beloved slouchy original wilfred cocoon last year, I've been on the search for the perfect camel coat to replace the OG.

So yes, I am so glad this coat went on sale for Black Friday, and I am so very happy with my purchase. I really got to hand it to the team at Babaton, this is the most beautifully slouchy, oversized, softest camel coat ever. (I bought it in Cocoa Sand colour) The fabric quality is so lovely at this price point - something that I paid special attention to since I want to hang on to this piece for a very long time. I really believe the camel wool and virgin wool blend will age very nicely as I wear it throughout the years. I could easily have gone to another retailer and purchase something for less than $100, BUT, the camel-wool blend is what made this an outstanding piece for me.

Apart from me gushing about this item: I do have a negative - I am 5'4" and this coat is VERY LONG on me - But I did buy the Large. I'm a large petite you can say, if you had to look at body types. I could get it hemmed and maybe brought up several inches, but I'm gonna wear it a few times before I pay a little bit more to tailor it to my height. Other than the length - which is a given because a lot of clothes are too long for me anyways, this coat is so perfect. Exactly what I was looking for and more.

TL;DR: Girl bought coat on sale, falls in love with it. Wishes it was a little shorter for 5'4" frame. No buyer's remorse, it's great value for the quality of the piece :)

It's slouchy in the perfect way and had LARGE POCKETS!!! it also has an inside pocket and sleeves long enough for my arms. I love that I can comfortably fit a sweater under it. The only mild inconvenience is that it's long so carrying it around inside can be a little bit of a pain, but this is an obvious con for any coat of this length and style.

I am looking for a brown coat for fall/winter for a long time. This wool coat is warm enough for canada's winter with its beautiful unique brown color that can match most of my sweaters. Must have in winter season! And it is surprise light comparing to its material.

This is THE oversized black coat. While the camel colors are lovely, black is a better fit for my wardrobe. I love the classic peacoat style; I feel it allows it to be oversized without being too trendy. (At this price, this is an investment piece for me - I'm looking for something timeless enough to wear for years.) I'm 5'10 with a lean build and went with my usual size - small. I was worried about the "light shoulder padding" but it's hardly noticeable- just helps to structure the shoulders. The material is extremely soft; the camel wool gives it a slightly fuzzier texture than typical wool, but not as furry as the alpaca blends. The sleeves are wide enough to not only layer, but to layer AND still move comfortably! The pockets are deep enough that your belongings won't fall out when you sit down, and I love that there's a pocket inside the chest. (It really is the little things!) I haven't worn it through winter, but it feels warmer (without being heavier!) compared to my other wool coats. I was hesitant to buy at this price without being able to read more reviews, but I'm happy I did. I would recommend this coat for sure!

I've been looking for oversized coat last year so I can wear a sweater under it and did not find any! Finally I found it. The coat is very soft, has great length and sleeves are not short. I cannot comment on how warm it is as I haven't worn it yet. Fits true to the size.
