thurlow sweater

I had purchased 2 of these Thurlow Sweater's last year and loved them so much! Last year's sweater's had 25% Alpaca in them and I absolutely loved how warm they were and the fit. Wore them practically every day during the winter! So I purchased another one this year and found it did not fit the same way, and is not as warm. After reading the tag I noticed there is longer Alpaca in this years sweater, it has been replaced with Merino wool instead, which is nice, but the fit is not the same. I preferred last years Thurlow Sweater's for sure.

Too long. Other than that, an almost perfect crewneck. But the length makes it unwearable for me.

I love this sweater, it is very warm and a beautiful colour. I must say it can get a bit baggy in the front, so be really careful not to stretch it. It is lovely with a short skirt.

My favourite slightly oversized sweater. Lovely drape, just like in the photos. Soft and not itchy for me. Washes well (I hand wash in cold, lay flat to dry).

I fit is ok. The quality is good and really recommend to a friend to buy this kind of sweater.

Love how soft it is and because it is slightly over sized it is very comfortable. Looks great with leggings or jeans

I love this sweater, I’ve purchased it in many colours. Wish it would last longer though, I typically have to replace these after 2 or 3 years but for the price that’s not too bad.

I ordered an XS as I could tell it fit on the larger side. The arms are still long enough for me. The sweater is still a bit baggy at the bottom so it is ok for office casual or weekend casual. The colour is great and quite versatile. The feel is cozy and not scratchy.

Thought it looked more orange in the photo but ended up being a less attractive dirty gold color.

A must have staple, only thing is it’s 10% wool so a little bit itchy. I’d recommend wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath! I normally wear an extra small-small, sized down to XXS.

Overall the look is great, not too thin to be see through even if I bought the off white. One star off because the fabric is slightly itchy

This is the perfect sweater for a dressed up winter look. It is thin (not bulky) under coats and over a turtleneck it does wonders. I have the deep green and it goes perfectly with the effortless pants. You may find it itchy if you don't wear wool often but it is very soft if you are used to alpaca, if that makes sense. :)

I bought a size medium! Usually buy large, but I read the reviews on how the sweater runs big! It was the perfect size for me!

Great sweater, I now have it 3 colours

The sweater is great, it is warm and cosy. It fits a little bigger through the body but works extremely well with skinny jeans or tights for cozy lounging.

materials list: 38% nylon, 28% acrylic, 25% alpaca, 10% wool, too itchy even with a undershirt...sending it back. The color was nice though.

I ordered this sweater in two colors. One in charcoal and one in a sort of off white/faint grey. I love the length and how thick these are, however one came with a sort of stretched out neck despite them being the exact same size. I really dislike a round neck fit so I was sort of bummed they fit differently. I’d like to order another color because the overall quality of the sweater was exactly what I was looking for, but now I’m worried I’ll get another with an odd neckline.

Soft and comfy, fits almost exactly how it’s shown. I ordered an XS and I’m 5’3 117lbs. It’s my new favourite and I’m almost considering another colour.

This sweater makes a great basic to pair under jackets and even oversized blazers. The fit is quite large yet flattering. I purchased my usual size and it looks perfect. The material is on the ichy side, however it looks and feels very high quality. Perfect for the upcoming cold weather!

I love this sweater! I received one as a gift and liked it so much, I ordered 2 other colours. It is light weight but so warm with the alpaca wool. It stretches slightly so fits nicely. It's long enough to look nice with leggings.

This is my second Thurlow Sweater and opted for the Winter White colour which has subtle flecks of gray/blue colour woven in. I found winter white to be more interesting than the Oak colour which is a flat cream colour. I also have this in Timberline (forest green), which is also a very nice colour. Wears very nicely and can wear with leggings as well as jeans. Not too long, not too short. I'm 5'6" about 130 lbs and normally wear a size Small in Aritizia tops, but I bought this in XS and it fits well - oversized but I'm not swimming in it. Also perfect for cold days, which is why I'm buying a second - for next winter!

This sweater is so soft and comfy. I am usually XS to S, and got this one in a S. Wish I had gone with the XS or even XXS though

Cozy sweater, true to size

The style of the sweater is okay and I like the colours it comes in, however I found it extremely itchy. My skin is usually okay with wearing different kinds of wool, but for some reason this sweater was itchy and uncomfortable. If you decide to get this sweater make sure to size down because it runs quite large.

Sort of itchy but that is to be expected. Pills quite easily which is also to be expected from this material. Still glad I got it. The tannin colour is beautiful.

I love this sweater. The soft material feels so cozy while the high neckline maintains a tailored look. I typically wear a small but purchased in a medium so it would be oversized. Pairs great with leather leggings!

The coziest sweater, looks super cute with some leggings and sneakers. Whatever you do, no not put it in the washing machine! Hand wash in cold water only!!

All in all I am really happy with this sweater, but there are a few things to keep in mind. For reference, I am 5'5 120 lbs, and I bought a size small. It fits oversized, so I would recommend sizing down if you want a more fitted look. I am normally an XS or a S at Aritzia, depending on the item/fit. After reading comments about it being itchy, I opted for a small so that I could comfortably fit a shirt underneath. I am glad that I did, because this sweater definitely is itchy, so it might not be the most comfy lounging sweater. The small ended up being perfect, I can tuck it in for a fitted look and it isn't bulky. Some of the other reviews made me think that this sweater was very very oversized, but I don't find it to be that to be the case, so keeping true to size or one size down would be fine. The fabric is nice and thick, and the sleeve length is great. I got mine on sale for $54, and I probably wouldn't pay much more than that for this. It seems like every so often they add a colour for a deep discount, I'd recommend keeping an eye out for that!

I love this sweater. My regular size (M) was not available in the color I wanted so I purchased the (L) to get an even more oversized look. I love the look and the color. I find the sweater just a bit itchy but I will wear a t-shirt under it.

I love this sweater. I bought two colours and I'm so glad I did because I wear them so much. If you have an office job get this! You will feel like you're wearing a hoodie but look so professional. The colour tannin is also really unique. I would size down unless you want a really oversized look.

Fit and quality are very good. My only issue with this sweater is that it’s a little itchy. I wear a tank top or light T-shirt under and that solves it. Fit is a bit big so size down if you want it to be form fitting.
